As a lifelong lover of pizza, River City Wood Fire pizza has reignited my love for quality personal sized pizzas. Every time I've been - they have never once disappointed me in crafting phenomenal flavor in every single bite. From the first bite with fresh toppings, perfectly melted cheese, tasty sauce to the last crunch of perfectly cooked crust - this is the best pizza I believe I've had in my life. I used to believe ranch and pizza was the oddest thing - but now after tasting theirs / I am now a believer. Their staff is incredibly friendly and hard working even when handling large crowds. I hope anyone that loves pizza is blessed enough to swing by their food truck or location and grabs a personal pizza from here.

Okay strap in because this is going to be a long very complimentative review. Anytime someone asks me what my favorite food in Richmond is, my answer is always River City Wood Fire Pizza. My husband and I have been enjoying this food truck for six years. We follow them to wherever they set up because they are that good - and now that they opened their brick and mortar location close to our house it's a dangerous game we play. The pizza dough is a sourdough crust and there's nothing more satisfying them the delicious/chewy/soft crust. Their pizzas are all fun and incentive (we love the 64 west, Northside, sir Brussels, any of their seasonal pizzas, the angry zinski.. we don't discriminate when it comes to their options to be honest). The hot honey they use for their pizzas is a must - just do yourself a favor and order it added to your pizza. Also, the homemade ranch - delicious. Their wings are also a must try, their juicy/tender/tasty - again do yourself a favor and try them. We love them so much that we had them cater our wedding. Not only were they a huge hit (we still get compliments about the pizza), but they also were very accommodating when we had to change the location a few days before the wedding - thanks to Hurricaine Ian. I really cannot recommend them enough! Best food truck and pizza in Richmond hands down

Went to Hardywood Brewery (west creek location) for some Halloween fun with our kids and decided to grab a bite from River City. There was a stand where you could order the pizza and once you're done, you can input your phone number and you'll receive a text that it's done & ready for pick up (thank GOODNESS because it was 85degrees out so my husband def wanted to come wait back inside with us). He ordered the buffalo chicken pizza and it was AMAZING! Cooked to perfect and you could taste all of the flavors. It was very fresh and worth the wait. The pizza itself was fairly small but I'm not sure if there was another option to order a larger one (my husband did the ordering while the rest of us waited inside) We decided to give them another try at some point! I wish they delivered to us. I could eat that pizza every day!

This pizza is so good. I'll come back for that crispy pepperoni time and time again. The inside is very cute for how small of a space is but with the wood fire oven it definitely gets hot in the summer. Good music and the kids enjoyed watching the pizzas get made. Service was friendly and pretty fast considering we didn't order ahead of time.

I cannot say enough good things about this food truck and their delicious pizza! I'm very dairy intolerant, and have to avoid it almost completely. I've never looked forward to a cheese substitute in my life until I came across River City Wood Fire's house made cashew cheese. It's absolutely delicious! Their classic Zinsky pepperoni pizza with cashew cheese is one of my favorites but their specials are always worth considering trying, they're usually really exciting too. They also have great desserts! I follow River City on Instagram to keep up with where they're visiting next and if they're in the area, or I'm really craving them, you can bet I'm rolling up for two pizzas just for myself. I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Really hot and yummy. Quick service and easy ordering. Come back to our neighborhood!

This truck is THE best. They stop by my office lot every few weeks and it's definitely popular. The pizza is fresh out the wood fire oven. It's not too greasy. I get the 64 west because I like simple, but also love ricotta and bacon. The wait is a little long because it's fresh, but definitely worth it. Don't know what else to say but if you haven't had their pizza yet, you're slacking!

Some of the best pizza around. Have lots of different pizza choices. The folks here are super friendly and a joy to interact with. Definitely will be back for more pizza and wings!!!

Great pizza! My wife and I tried it for the first time last night. She got the Hawaii 5-0, and I got the Churchill. We were both really happy with our selections and plan to go back again.

River City Wood Fire is a fairly stellar mobile pizzeria that intermittently stops by my present workplace downtown. It does take about fifteen minutes depending on the queue size to get a pie (since they have to make it in their fancy oven...it's not frozen crap). Once ready, they offer to put it in a mini box or on a sturdy paper plate. So far I've tried two different pies -- the 64-West and the Carol Anne. Both are white-based with different toppings. While the 64 had smoked bacon and basil on it, I definitely preferred the Carol Anne (minced garlic, spinach, black pepper, fontina, mozzarella, parmesan, sea salt, olive oil) and that'll likely become my go-to in the future. The pizzas cost no more than $11 (+ tip...those folks work hard!), and they offer gluten-free or vegan by request. If you see the truck, I'd really suggest ordering a pie. Totally worth the carbs!

I am lucky to live walking distance away from their spot downtown! The line can get pretty long but the pizzas come out relatively quick (less than 10 minutes). All of their pizzas are made fresh to order and are about $10 or $11. They are about the size of a paper plate and can be easily finished if you're pretty hungry. The crust comes out nice and smokey from the wood fired oven which gives the pizza another depth of flavor but it isn't overwhelming. It can get a little floppy though so just watch your toppings as you go in for the next piece. All of the toppings are very fresh and you can taste the quality of their ingredients. I'm really surprised they don't have more reviews because I think they are better than most of the "established" pizza places in Richmond!

Well we were at hardy wood, few beers in having ourselves A DAY. Little did we know River City Fire was here and guess what... THEY DELIVERED. We got the porky pig pizza and I swear to you it was the best pizza I have had. Workers were very nice and I have zero complaints....10/10. Buy this pizza!!!

We Tried Almost Everything and It Was Friggin' Amazing!!…read more I always say the true test of fresh food is how long it lasts before spoiling or before I finish it (don't judge me, I'm a picker). The fries and chicken wings were even better cold, in my opinion. And then, on the third day, after warming them in the air fryer, they were still amazing. I froze the limeade, and I'm going to suggest they start freezing the juices--it made all the difference! It was so refreshing! 6/5 Stars - A Life-Changing, Taste-Bud-Tingling, Food Truck Extravaganza! I just indulged in the most unforgettable, jaw-dropping, and downright sinful food truck experience at [Anarchy XMM](https://www.instagram.com/anarchyxmm/), and I'm still reeling from the unadulterated bliss! Their new specialty sandwich, the "We Hungry AF" (a nod to the Richmond VA blogging team @we_hungryaf), is a CULINARY MASTERPIECE that will leave you weak in the knees and begging for more. Now, onto the main event! Imagine sinking your teeth into a succulent, expertly seasoned Jerk Fried Chicken Breast, its crispy exterior giving way to a juicy, tender interior that simply melts in your mouth. This majestic masterpiece is nestled between a sweet, fluffy, and crispy Ube Waffle (aka Purple Deception), its deep purple hue a harbinger of the flavor explosion to come. The waffle's subtle sweetness perfectly balances the savory, aromatic spices of the jerk chicken, creating a match made in heaven. But that's not all--this gastronomic symphony is elevated by a trio of sauces that will leave you singing: the creamy, tangy Matouk's, the smoky, spicy Jerk BBQ, and the sweet, velvety Yum Yum. The combination is pure MAGIC, a harmonious balance of flavors that will leave you wondering how you ever lived without it. (Pro tip: go for all three sauces if you can handle a slight kick, or ask for no Matouk's if you're a spice newbie--but trust me, the heat is worth it!) And just when you thought it was all about the sandwich, the supporting cast of flavors steals the show: the crunchy, peppery Spring Mix adds a delightful textural contrast, while the thinly sliced Tomato provides a burst of juicy freshness. But the true MVP is the Fried Sweet Plantain, its crispy exterior and fluffy interior a masterclass in texture and flavor. This sweet, sweet plantain is the unsung hero that balances out the heat, leaving you with a delightful tingling sensation that will leave you craving more. But wait, there's more! The mac and cheese is a creamy, comforting revelation, its perfectly cooked pasta coated in a rich, velvety sauce that will transport you back to your childhood. The chicken wings are crispy, spicy, and addictively delicious, with a depth of flavor that will leave you wondering what dark magic Anarchy XMM employs to make them so irresistible. And the apple pie? Flaky, buttery, and indulgently sweet, with a crumbly crust that shatters in your mouth like a promise of happiness. This food truck is a gourmet kitchen on wheels, folks! Anarchy XMM is a game-changer, a culinary experience that will leave you questioning everything you thought you knew about food. Don't believe me? Try it for yourself and thank me later--but be warned: once you taste the magic, there's no going back. But what truly sets Anarchy XMM apart is the exceptional service from the dynamic duo, Shawn the Host extraordinaire, and the lovely Hostess Temeka with the mostest. These two charismatic hosts treated us like ROYALTY, showering us with warm smiles, attentive service, and a genuine passion for the culinary delights they were serving. They expertly guided us through the menu, offered spot-on recommendations, and made us feel like part of the Anarchy XMM family. Special shoutout to Shawn and Temeka for their exceptional hospitality and for making our experience truly unforgettable! #FoodTruckFrenzy #RichmondVAEats #WeHungryAF #AnarchyXMM #FoodieFind #GourmetOnTheGo #UbeWaffleLove #JerkChickenObsessed #FoodComaGuaranteed #YumYumSauceSquad [@anarchyxmm](https://www.instagram.com/anarchyxmm/) [@we_hungryaf](https://www.instagram.com/we_hungryaf/) Get ready to level up your food game, Richmond!
