    Iraqi veggie patties
    Mandy K.

Loved the food!! We tried the iraqi veggie patties and the sabich pita sandwich (which also has the veggie patties). Really impressed with the patties as they were packed with herbs giving them so much flavor. Drizzled with tahini and combined with eggplants hmm so yum. The pita sandwich was very filling and had lots of variety of veggies. Highly recommend this place!

I've been rendered dumb by flavor. I ordered the salmon in my effort to remain close to a healthy diet (pay NO attention to the burger behind the curtain). But it was when I got to the roasted vegetables WITH the salmon over the bed of rice... Y'all. Y'ALL. As I write this I'm tearing up with emotion. I'm also trying to figure out how I can get them to move in. Of course I understand the concept of delivery but why deliver when they can just live with me and make this 100% of the time. It is all meal good. Breakfast...yep. Lunch...yep. Snack...yep. Dinner...yep. So yummy.

    Moussaka

This is a Hidden Gem in the neighborhoods of Brooklyn New York. I stopped here for lunch while on business and had the moussaka. Everything tasted excellent. The spices we're just perfect giving me a taste that I have never had before. The rice with cooked so perfectly leaving all of the grains of rice separated in fluffy. The potatoes were buttery and fluffy and had an excellent taste. The service was wonderful and fast considering some of the food they cook to order. This will be one of my regular stops when I come to New York. I would strongly recommend if you are in the Brooklyn area to find this restaurant on Google and have a meal. The atmosphere is awesome and the only thing you're missing in this review is the smell and taste that were amazing.

    Pink undercooked meatballs.
    Esther C.

I have heard such great reviews about this place. So when I arrived to New York I came by with my friends, from the moment we walked in there was major attitude from the cashier/server. We ordered Mafrum, 2 meatballs over rice and hummus, 2 sodas $75.00 - ridiculous! Food: Mafrum; came 40 minutes after ordering - so had to take it to go - and my friend got a really bad stomach ache from it. Meatballs; were pink inside because undercooked! I asked the lady nicely if that's the way it's supposed to be and she answered me very rudely and defensively said I'll change it for you but that's the way it's cooked...wtf? So that went to waste! Hummus: had a very weird taste. The lady came by with the pita later on asking if we still want it, well duh, how are we supposed to eat the hummus? We did not receive any side pickeled salads or schug.....! As I was exiting the place the lady said "oh so u didn't like the food!?" Really? Did you not see that!? I told you it was not cooked - those meatballs were 100% not cooked! Overall. Horrible service, overrated menu. One star because it doesn't have an option of no stars. Save your self the time and money, and go elsewhere.

Great experience really enjoyed. Food was so delicious definitely recommended. My friend recommended to visit there so we stop by. Food come fast and the vibe feels like home.

The space itself is huge with an open kitchen and chill vibes. You can order a la carte, but might as well do the prix fixe. For $50-$59 per person, you get unlimited salatim which included some of the most delicious hummus, babaganoush, potatoes and 8 other options along with unlimited house made pita served warm and a meat option. I went with Lamb & Beef Koobideh which was so good. You end with brown sugar soft serve ice cream for dessert! Cocktails were great especially the No Big Dill (ford's gin, herb infused vermouth, olive oil vodka, cucumber). Reservations are a must! Go!!!

It was a bit warm at our table, and the friendly staff moved us to a cooler area. To drink, I ordered the Wolf's Fang for $18, a blend of rums, falernum, arak, passionfruit, orange, and oat milk. As described, it was their take on a milk punch, and wasn't too sweet with a bright hint of citrus. I would recommend it. The hummus was good, being thick with a strong tahini flavor, though I have preferred others. Outside of the hummus, the daily salatim included a mix of mostly pickled items. First, there was some pickled cauliflower and carrots with a bit of turmeric. The second salatim was a more unique and spicier pineapple slaw, which was refreshing, and had some herbal flavor from parsley or something similar. The third was a cabbage slaw, which was alright, as I found it a bit too lightly seasoned. The last was a mix of cucumbers, olives, and other pickles, which was standard and tasty. Alongside all of this, the pita was warm and fresh, and the staff refilled everything when we asked. For the main course, I chose the Steak Shashlik, which they spell as shishlik, for $46, which came with tahini and some pickled onions. The steak was tender and well seasoned, and the tahini added a distinctive nuttiness. I especially enjoyed making a mini sandwich with the steak, tahini, pineapple pickle, and pita. Others at the table ordered the Spicy Lamb Kofta and other shashlik options, including Chicken and Trout. In terms of sides, someone got the $15 Fries with tahina ketchup, which they enjoyed. Overall, everyone enjoyed their meal, with no one ordering dessert as a few walked over to the tasty Bertoni Gelato nearby. This place is a tad expensive, but I wouldn't mind going back. Even as a fan of pickles, I wish the salatim were a bit more varied, such as including an eggplant or bean-based mezze. I presume the dinner version is a bit more varied, as there are many more salatim, but they should put a bit more effort into the lunch one as well.

Unfortunately, because of a slow night, they didn't have their full bar setup, and we're only serving beer and wine. So, I put my Yelp expert hat on and looked up nearby places with mezcal cocktails, and discovered this place. The food and drink menus for this place immediately reminded me of La Shukran and similar restaurants in DC, and I couldn't help but wonder if they were under the same umbrella. Turns out they aren't. They had a fantastic hip hop playlist going for their last hour of the night. Dozens of records were on display on shelves, and the staff were really cool behind the bar. I had the Lavashak sour and the Turkish Delight cocktails... Both had really unique flavors and less common elements like apricot, saffron, pomegranate, pistachio... And my sisters drinks were great too! The food looked delicious, although neither of us were hungry. I would be eager to return and give everything a try. The vibes were nothing short of immaculate!

Soft lighting shows off the stylish bar and furnishings. An attentive and eclectic staff greeted me warmly when I arrived. I was the first to arrive and enjoyed a glass of chenin blanc at the bar. I changed to the Swick, their skin contact orange wine and stayed with that for the duration. It was a fun, surprising wine that augmented my meal. We shared the dip sampler of hummus, muhammara and labne which comes with their superlative Turkish Pide. We all ordered and enjoyed the Ali Nazik Kebap, broiled minced lamb on a searing hot metal skewer that be warned because they didn't say a word about it to us! We also ordered the lamb meshweh which features braised lamb shoulder with sumac onions and pickled slaw on a pita. It was hearty and well seasoned and nothing remained by the end. We were having such a good time I forgot to keep taking pictures! Two orders of the dip sampler, three orders of the lamb entrees and two rounds of drinks came to about $100 a person. Despite slightly scorching our hands we had a great experience. Would cheerfully return!

Also, don't advertise a special menu on Opentable and give people the option to reserve the menu when you aren't offering it. Came here for latkes and caviar for NYE since it said it was on the menu when I reserved on Opentable. Got there and was told they only served it during Hannuka Hanukkah.
