Sesame Chicken 1 Piece Egg Roll

My friend and I had a desire to eat Chinese food. So we decided to go to Joyful Tasting Palace. They have authentic Chinese food as well American Chinese food. The server John was very friendly and was always on point for the refills. We decided to order two dinner specials which included pork fried rice and a fresh crispy egg roll. I ordered Sesame Chicken while my friend ordered Chicken Lo Mein. The Sesame Chicken was made fresh and compliments the delicious egg rolls. My friend complimented John on how yummy the chicken lo mein. We even got a fresh warm mochi dessert. Thank you John on a great tasting experiece!

I was 1000% blown away at the food at this restaurant! This restaurant specializes in Fuzhou Chinese food and every dish is just like how they make it in China. I had the Classic dishes : Peanut Butter Noodle ( 拌面) , Rice Flake Noodle Soup ( 锅边糊), Wonton Soup ( 扁肉汤) , Lychee Pork ( 荔枝肉) , Sweet and Sour Pork Kidney and Jellyfish Head ( 双脆) . All of these are the MOST famous and CLASSIC Fuzhou dishes and they make it just like how it's done in China . I would 10000% recommend this place! I left with tears of joy in my eyes because I was transported to my childhood when I was eating there!!!

There must be a major change to this place. We came yesterday and saw a completely different, somewhat confusing menu. The food, which tasted good, except for the Clams in Black Bean Sauce too salty for us, but it was quite different than previously.

Authentic seafood focused Chinese restaurant right in the heart of "Chinatown" plaza. The restaurant is in a poorly crafted strip mall but do not let the looks deceive you, there is some seriously good Chinese eats here. Be warned going in, it can get loud with other customers yelling over each other and table manners that make most people cringe. But the food is worth all that. The salt and pepper squid was perfectly seasoned and fried. No chewy squid here! The fish filet and sea bass rice dishes were plenty for one diner each. Fresh looking seafood in the tanks and plenty of seating. Service was mediocre, as to be expected at a Chinese restaurant. The ice water may share a tap as our waters had a slight lemon-lime taste (sprite). I will likely be returning in the near future.

The place is nice and I've been here several times. This time I was really disappointed. We ordered pan fried noodles with pork and it came out Bok choy on the bottom and broken soft noodles with lots of soy sauce. That wasn't how she described at all. This used to be my favorite place for some authentic Chinese cuisine. Lobster with ginger sauce were ok. The rest of the food was toward on the bland side. I'm really shocked and disappointed.

This place just opened last year. Small Chinese restaurant serving fresh seafood daily. Neat decors, simple and elegant. One thing I like about this place, they serve coke ca cola in a bottle brings me back my childhood. The food was good and service was prompt. Very clean!

I arrived to Joyful Garden at 2 pm on a Friday. This restaurant is located in front of the Chinatown plaza, and I can't believe it took me this long to find it. They weren't that busy, which surprised me for a Friday afternoon. In fact, we were the only table in the restaurant. First of all, the food is pretty decent. My group ordered quite a bit of food, so I was able to sample many different things. I think my favorite dish was a rice cake dish with cabbage in it. Other than that, the food was okay, but a little pricey for my taste. The staff were completely accommodating, peeking their heads in our little corner every few times to check in on us. They made sure we were completely comfortable with everything, and were a pleasure to talk to. Overall, I'll most likely only be coming here if I have larger crowds of friends/family around.

Not the best and not the worst Chinese I've had. Salt & Pepper Calamari was plain and had breading that I've never tasted before. Service was quick since we were the only people there. We also wish they had more noodle options. However, it was close to 11pm and we were thankful they were open plus extremely accommodating.

One of the better Chinese restaurants around the area ,the stirfry is really consistent, they have a really good oyster steamed in black bean sauce, and a awesome flavored jelly fish with pickled daikon as a appetizer, pretty good fish maw soup,But I think the clams with Chinese gourd soup is even better, the salt&pepper white fish was perfectly crisp, really good... and of course you always have to get lobster stirfried with ginger and scallions, Great food with pretty good homestyle service, drink selection is limited.

A good review in the Orlando Sentinel led me here. As a frequent shopper of 1st Oriental market I was aware of new construction of a strip of stores across the way but wasn't aware that it was open. Stepping inside finds a rather bland interior. The menu is large but not unwieldy. Beef chow fun is a staple for us and although we ordered the gravy version it came out as the dry version which overall was ok. The chicken and broccoli was solid but not outstanding. Sweet and sour fish filet was the winner, slightly fried and in a thick sweet and sour sauce though a bit too sweet for me. The fish was crispy on the outside yet not overdone on the inside. Service was friendly and reasonable. The seafood options were many which we will try next time. I would still rank Tasty Wok as better but Joyful Garden is closer in distance so it's a good alternative to have.

Food: Great flavor and quality. We ordered a cucumber salad (we spiced it up with chili oil, yumm!) Our friends ordered the chicken stream buns (which were soup dumplings), and spicy beef ramen noodle soup, and spicy beef ramen noodle stir fry. Everything was delicious and flavorful. Minor downsides: Not having enough water and napkins and struggling to get staff attention once food was dropped off. Also, the tables felt small but we did order a lot to try different things.

But then again, the restaurant isn't too big so I feel like they usually don't do the carts. But this is a way to ensure all the food you're getting is fresh though! I do wish the dim sum menu was a little more varied. I feel like a few staples that I normally gravitate towards weren't there. But there was still enough to have a good filling meal.
