Sesame Chicken 1 Piece Egg Roll

My friend and I had a desire to eat Chinese food. So we decided to go to Joyful Tasting Palace. They have authentic Chinese food as well American Chinese food. The server John was very friendly and was always on point for the refills. We decided to order two dinner specials which included pork fried rice and a fresh crispy egg roll. I ordered Sesame Chicken while my friend ordered Chicken Lo Mein. The Sesame Chicken was made fresh and compliments the delicious egg rolls. My friend complimented John on how yummy the chicken lo mein. We even got a fresh warm mochi dessert. Thank you John on a great tasting experiece!

I was 1000% blown away at the food at this restaurant! This restaurant specializes in Fuzhou Chinese food and every dish is just like how they make it in China. I had the Classic dishes : Peanut Butter Noodle ( 拌面) , Rice Flake Noodle Soup ( 锅边糊), Wonton Soup ( 扁肉汤) , Lychee Pork ( 荔枝肉) , Sweet and Sour Pork Kidney and Jellyfish Head ( 双脆) . All of these are the MOST famous and CLASSIC Fuzhou dishes and they make it just like how it's done in China . I would 10000% recommend this place! I left with tears of joy in my eyes because I was transported to my childhood when I was eating there!!!

There must be a major change to this place. We came yesterday and saw a completely different, somewhat confusing menu. The food, which tasted good, except for the Clams in Black Bean Sauce too salty for us, but it was quite different than previously.

Authentic seafood focused Chinese restaurant right in the heart of "Chinatown" plaza. The restaurant is in a poorly crafted strip mall but do not let the looks deceive you, there is some seriously good Chinese eats here. Be warned going in, it can get loud with other customers yelling over each other and table manners that make most people cringe. But the food is worth all that. The salt and pepper squid was perfectly seasoned and fried. No chewy squid here! The fish filet and sea bass rice dishes were plenty for one diner each. Fresh looking seafood in the tanks and plenty of seating. Service was mediocre, as to be expected at a Chinese restaurant. The ice water may share a tap as our waters had a slight lemon-lime taste (sprite). I will likely be returning in the near future.

The place is nice and I've been here several times. This time I was really disappointed. We ordered pan fried noodles with pork and it came out Bok choy on the bottom and broken soft noodles with lots of soy sauce. That wasn't how she described at all. This used to be my favorite place for some authentic Chinese cuisine. Lobster with ginger sauce were ok. The rest of the food was toward on the bland side. I'm really shocked and disappointed.

This place just opened last year. Small Chinese restaurant serving fresh seafood daily. Neat decors, simple and elegant. One thing I like about this place, they serve coke ca cola in a bottle brings me back my childhood. The food was good and service was prompt. Very clean!

I arrived to Joyful Garden at 2 pm on a Friday. This restaurant is located in front of the Chinatown plaza, and I can't believe it took me this long to find it. They weren't that busy, which surprised me for a Friday afternoon. In fact, we were the only table in the restaurant. First of all, the food is pretty decent. My group ordered quite a bit of food, so I was able to sample many different things. I think my favorite dish was a rice cake dish with cabbage in it. Other than that, the food was okay, but a little pricey for my taste. The staff were completely accommodating, peeking their heads in our little corner every few times to check in on us. They made sure we were completely comfortable with everything, and were a pleasure to talk to. Overall, I'll most likely only be coming here if I have larger crowds of friends/family around.

Not the best and not the worst Chinese I've had. Salt & Pepper Calamari was plain and had breading that I've never tasted before. Service was quick since we were the only people there. We also wish they had more noodle options. However, it was close to 11pm and we were thankful they were open plus extremely accommodating.

One of the better Chinese restaurants around the area ,the stirfry is really consistent, they have a really good oyster steamed in black bean sauce, and a awesome flavored jelly fish with pickled daikon as a appetizer, pretty good fish maw soup,But I think the clams with Chinese gourd soup is even better, the salt&pepper white fish was perfectly crisp, really good... and of course you always have to get lobster stirfried with ginger and scallions, Great food with pretty good homestyle service, drink selection is limited.

A good review in the Orlando Sentinel led me here. As a frequent shopper of 1st Oriental market I was aware of new construction of a strip of stores across the way but wasn't aware that it was open. Stepping inside finds a rather bland interior. The menu is large but not unwieldy. Beef chow fun is a staple for us and although we ordered the gravy version it came out as the dry version which overall was ok. The chicken and broccoli was solid but not outstanding. Sweet and sour fish filet was the winner, slightly fried and in a thick sweet and sour sauce though a bit too sweet for me. The fish was crispy on the outside yet not overdone on the inside. Service was friendly and reasonable. The seafood options were many which we will try next time. I would still rank Tasty Wok as better but Joyful Garden is closer in distance so it's a good alternative to have.

She does a great job of getting all of the oysters out of the shells and record time and she is always chatting with us. In addition to the bucket of oysters, we have also tried the fried oysters and the seafood boil. Fried oysters but the seafood boil was delicious. If you want they also have other menu options if you're not craving oysters. Our last visit I found a big Pearl and one of my oysters which is a rarity. So I felt very lucky. Lucky that I didn't chip my tooth from chomping on it. LOL They do have two types of hot sauces and can give you butter if you'd like some. They also give you horseradish to go with your oysters. Sadly, they did not have any soy sauce. Don't judge. If you're craving oysters at a reasonable price, head down to Lee and Rick's oyster bar. Of course I was still a bit hungry so he recommend me a few items and I decided on the jalapeño poppers. They were fried perfectly and instead of cream cheese, they used cheddar. So delicious. It is just like a little place where you can wait for your food to be made but they don't have tables or anything. It's just some chairs to wait in. This is what I would call a hole in the wall for sure, but their food was pretty good. The only thing I did not like was the corn. It was so soaked up in the oil and seemed like it may have been at the bottom of the barrel because it was very hard and soaked with the oil so when I took a bite into the corn, not only could I barely bite into it but nothing but oil and like hard clumps came out of the corn. The corn had to be discarded. The potatoes were pretty good. They were nice and soft and only some of the crab legs were a little bit overcooked but we would probably come here again.

It was 30 minutes from our hotel, so I was hopeful that it wouldn't disappoint! We got there relatively early (20 minutes after they opened for the day), and nobody else was there, so that was kind of awkward, as was being told to order from a kiosk (or use the QR code at the table), rather than give my order to a human. But the kiosk allowed us to kind of 'shop' before making our decision, so that was good. Since we were the only customers, everything came out fast and fresh (in fact, his came out a few minutes before mine, so I had to steal his fries until mine came out, lol) Hubs got the Ultimate Smash Burger and Fries, which was delicious. Soft bun, big burger, delicious fries. I got the Chicken Dippers, and y'all - they were HUGE! And you got SIX of them! I ended up only eating two of the tenders, and brought the other 4 home for leftovers. The staff were all super-friendly and attentive. They gave me a box/bag for my leftovers, and bussed our trays when we were done. Seating is ALL tables, so if you're a "Booth Person" you might be bummed. But the seats were comfy, even on a bigger tushie like mine. Paper towels, salt & pepper, and ketchup were on the tables. The only 'con' for me was the hush puppies... it had pieces of corn in it. This is a personal preference, of course, but I like my HPs without pieces of corn or onions, so I didn't ding them for that! Great job to everyone here, everything was delicious. Feels somewhat like a small-town diner. The menu has awesome choices, but there's a ton of stuff that is $30+ (several $50+) and I really didn't want to spend that much on lunch. I picked a snapper sandwich with a side caesar & my friend got a shrimp quesadilla. They came out about 10-15 mins later. price seemed a bit high, but i know costs have skyrocketed lately, so them's the breaks. The fish on my sandwich was flavorful - but very dry. Would have been better cooked with some kind of fat. The bread was fluffy & nice, but fell apart right away. The veggies in the sandwich were fresh & bright. The caesar side was amazing. they gave me tartar & ketchup, so i asked for cocktail sauce because ketchup is weird for this. No problem. I didn't even finish half because it was so big! My friend's quesadilla was very tasty, but for some reason, it's an absolute oil slick. So the opposite end of the spectrum lol. She enjoyed it but couldn't finish because it was too greasy. There was a thick layer of oil on the plate and on the quesadilla. The ladies working there are really nice & helpful. They checked on us several times. I love customizing it the way I grew up enjoying Thai hot pot by adding extra mushrooms, tomatoes, chili peppers, cilantro, green onions, garlic, and a squeeze of lime juice. The flavor becomes even brighter and so comforting -- seriously next level. The ingredient selection is another huge win. There's a great variety of seafood, different meats, and an abundance of fresh veggies, so you can really build your bowl exactly how you want it. Everything tastes fresh and the portions are generous, making it one of the best hot pot experiences in Orlando by far. Friendly staffs. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, which makes it perfect for both small dinners and bigger group hangouts.
