The individual hotpot and buffet style is great for large group dinners. $31.99 per person (hotpot only). Service was good. They were very flexible and helpful when it came to my taste preferences. I like Szechuan flavors, but oftentimes the hotpot can be too spicy. I told them this and the waiter offered to give me the Szechuan spice on the side to add to a different soup base. It was perfect! We also got a green milk tea--we usually get 50% but the waiter suggested we get 100% since she thinks 50% would be too bland. We took her advice and she was correct. While this restaurant's selection has most of my favorites, I gave it a 4/5 score because I really like beef tongue and that was only allowed for the bbq. They had a large selection of seafood as well, including raw oysters and snow crab. Ice cream and other deserts are also part of the ayce. Overall, good experience and delicious ayce hotpot. Found this place by chance after driving away from another restaurant that we scoped out that looked pretty empty - there were a lot of cars in the parking lot here so we pulled in, having no idea what this place was all about. First of all - if you are a vegetarian or a vegan, or even an ovo-lacto, you have to pay the full price of a meat-eater, because people will cheat and proclaim that they are vegans and probably stuff their face full of beef, so I had to pay the same price as my husband, a carnivore. You are seated a table with a grill and a personal hot-pot, dependent on whatever broth you choose. The attendant will turn on all of the hot pots and grill, so you don't need to mess with that; he/she will put a piece of foil on your grill and drop a piece of butter on it so you can cook and fry your meats or veggies but one of the annoying things I've found was the feeling we got that they didn't want us eating more - they would come by infrequently and we would have to flag them down to replace our grilling foil, and they did so begrudgingly, with little interaction. The selections were very, very generous: organ meats including guts, tongue, tripe, beef aorta, intestines and exotic things like duck feet, frog legs; different cuts of meat, loads of veggies and fungi and tofu for someone like myself, and dessert like ice cream in individual containers and Oreo cookies, which I found a bit odd. read more

The service was very friendly. The food choices were awesome because there was so much to choose from. The ambiance was upbeat and inviting. Where they lose points with me are in two areas: 1) the price for adults was a lot smaller than the price for kids, so it was a bit misleading. You had to truly pay attention when you first walk in and look almost at the ceiling to see the price. And 2) the "kimchi" and "spicy" cucumbers were so bland that I felt like a basic white American with no experience made it. I also found it very strange that they placed a sheet of aluminum foil on the grill before you start cooking. I have been to many Korean bbq places, and none have ever done something like that. We came in with a party of 8, and they *require* us all to pick the same option: either hot pot and BBQ, or just one. Then there's a time limit to their "all you can eat" buffet, a charge per pound for any leftovers, and you can't take anything home. Also, a mandatory tip for large parties. Some of this is customary, but when you put it all together, it just felt excessive. Instead of being able to relax and enjoy my meal, I felt like I was constantly on the lookout for the next charge. However, as someone who has been to a variety of different hot pot and bbq restaurants. I think the seating and burner arrangement could've made this experience a little bit better. We were seated at a table of six, and the group decided to do both hot pot and BBQ. I was extremely surprised to be seated at a long rectangular table and only have one burner for bbq. This caused a situation where the people all the way at the end of the booth had to essentially climb over people in their party in order to have their food cooked. Having either of the ability to have seats instead of a booth, would've allowed for it easier access to the burners if you're only going to offer one burner- even for larger groups. This works great when eating with friends since you're not sharing broth, but with kids it can actually create more work trying to manage multiple pots at once. The place is modern and the setup is very beginner-friendly. Every meat and vegetable lists recommended cooking times, which takes the guesswork out of hotpot. The sauce station is also pretty cool - you mix your own sauces, and they even provide recipe cards with suggested combinations. That said, a few things held the experience back. Discovered this place while we were in Orlando. Of course hotpot and kbbq in one got me saying yes to it. Everything was buffet style. And quality of the meat is good. I would say they had everything needed for the hoptpot and kbbq. Veggies, meat, all the balls, seafood, and sauces and even desserts. I also like then place. Nice modern and clean. It was my first time trying hot pot and this place did not disappoint. It was crowded and we didn't make reservations so had to wait 1 hour. Make reservations if you can, especially on weekends. For ayce spot the protein choices were really good and the quality of meat was pretty good as well. I got the original broth which was a safe choice, since this was my first time. I had a lot of fun making my own dipping sauce and it was delicious bc I tailored it to my own liking. The amount of offerings here is just stunning. Absolutely stunning. I haven't done Korean BBQ at this location but have at others in the same chain and it wasn't my favorite. So we stuck to hotpot. Some of my favorite things on the buffet were crab legs, blue crabs, shrimp, hagow, lots of red meat options, tons of green veggies and more noodles than I knew existed. The only down side: the sauce bar is extremely average. A big letdown compared to the other offerings. Plus I used a container marked "salt" that was very clearly sugar. I was in town for Disney and decided to see if Orlando's hotpot was any good vs the ones in Atlanta. Boy, I was in for a treat!! The front lobby area was beautiful decorated as they had some replica Takata soldiers from China. Walking in, they had a beautiful bar area. The price here is $31.99 for either KBBQ or Hot Pot. Add $5 more to get both. We opted for the hot pot only. The biggest difference here is you get your own food in the AYCE bar. The seafood selection is insane as they had: Snow Crab Legs, Blue Crab, Oysters, Huge Shrimp, Huge Clams, and etc. The sauce bar was amazing. I loved it. Their cold side dish bar had the best kimchi cucumbers and seaweed salad. They had a small hot food bar that included fried dumplings, friend chicken wings, French fries, and egg rolls. I hate to say this but the fried chicken wings were one of the best I have ever had! Service was awesome here and I really enjoyed it. This place blows all the Hot Pot AYCE spots in Atlanta. Had team dinner here for AAU VB. There were a lot of choices for hot pot and a decent amount for KBBQ, but it didn't really matter since they had kalbi for KBBQ and that's mostly what we got. The selling point for hot pot was the seafood but i'd give the seafood selection a B-. When we go again I will skip the hot pot and just do the KBBQ. This was one of the worst restaurant experiences I've ever had, and as a restaurant manager myself, I'm shocked at how badly this place violated basic customer service standards and consumer rights. My family arrived at Volcano Hot Pot & BBQ on International Drive at 10:30 PM -- a full hour before their posted closing time of 11:30 PM. By 11:00 PM, most of the meats (the main part of the hot pot experience) had already been removed from the buffet . You cannot charge full price and then take away the main food items 30 minutes before closing. That is a straight-up failure to provide what customers paid for. While we were still eating, staff came over MULTIPLE times pushing us to pay early. We paid on the second request, but then the manager came back a THIRD time demanding we sign the check and confirm gratuity even though we had already paid. It was clear they were trying to shut down early and rush out every table. We were already in our car by 11:17 PM, which proves we were not lingering or staying late. When we called afterward to explain how unacceptable this was, the manager doubled down and defended everything. Instead of accountability, she dismissed us by saying another table "didn't have an issue," ignoring the fact that those customers had already finished eating. The attitude, the lack of professionalism, and the refusal to admit wrongdoing were unbelievable. This place violated basic consumer expectations -- removing essential food items early, rushing customers, and not providing the services advertised during posted business hours. As someone who manages a restaurant myself, I was appalled. This is NOT how a restaurant should operate and definitely not how guests should be treated. I have been to Volcano before but not this location. Volcano always has a good variety of meats and veggies that I am impressed with. We opted for the bbq and hot pot combo but it was so filling that next time I think I'd pick just one or the other. I also love having a sauce bar. I tried their house sauce as well as made my own recipe. I like having the plain brisket to dip in the soup and then the sauce. However, form the whole meal, my favorite thing to eat was the marinated kalbi. Highly recommend it! The only negative to the dining was the service. Luckily, most of the meal is self serve but the events do warrant a mention. Everyone was friendly, it was just speed of service especially compared to other tables. For example, at one point we ran out of water and was waiting to flag someone down. Never had the opportunity so I put my cup on the edge of the table and figured at some point someone would notice. It was quite a while until the refill. At the end of the dinner, it took a long time to get the check. Once again, I could not see anyone to flag down so I took out my credit card and put it on the table (kind of a "hey I'm ready" signal) but since no one was around, no one noticed. I even stood up a couple times trying to make eye contact with someone- again a no go. Eventually, I got frustrated and just went to the front and requested my check from the hostess. It sort of looked like everyone was on break or else it was a shift change over. So I think everything that happened was an oversight but still not good. Just sharing my experience.
