I attended a birthday party here on Friday 8/15. There were 20 of us. I have not stopped raving about this restaurant. It is without a doubt the best Italian food I have ever eaten in a restaurant. I am a pretty tough judge when it comes to restaurants, and I have never given one 5 stars before. The service was impeccable. Attentive and unobtrusive at the same time. Everyone from the hostess to the servers to the bus staff were stellar. The food was delicious. The sauce was thick, well seasoned and tasted like the sauce my grandmother made. We had little pizza squares as an appetizer. They were so yummy. Then fried zucchini and calamari, which I enjoyed. The antipasto salad was like the salad my family makes on holidays. It featured Italian meats and cheeses, fresh mozzarella , and Italian olives. Is was the most authentic antipasto I have seen. The penne pasta course featured perfectly cooked al dente pasta in a delicious pomodoro sauce. My chicken parmigiana was the best I have had. A perfectly cooked breast with real melted mozzarella , not these slices of rubbery cheese other places use. Everyone else was raving about their shrimp scampi or eggplant rollatini entrees. We then had fresh fruit, that amazingly tasted exactly the way it was supposed to...so often fruit has no taste. Then out came canolis and zepoles. The canolis were yummy. Lastly was a birthday cake and cappuccino. I was too stuffed for cake, but I saw everyone scraping their plates for the last bit. I wish I had tried it. The place was crazy busy, and I know why...yet it never felt like you weren't being well taken care of. I highly recommend Mama Lisa and can't wait to go back. read more

I absolutely loved this restaurant until yesterday. While I was eating my salad I bit into something extremely hard....A Small Rock....which chipped my tooth! I couldn't believe it. It took several minutes to get our waitress's attention who was on her cell phone. She did apologize and went to tell the manager. The manager didn't even have the courtesy to come to the table but just sent the waitress back to tell me that they would take only my meal off the bill. I asked to please send the manager to the table. When he came he showed no emotion or true concern about the situation or that I was in pain, and he had no accident/incident form and didn't even take my information. I was appalled, if that was a restaurant I managed I would have been more apologetic, more concerned, and given the customer more then just their meal taken off the bill! Then to top it off the waitress gave us our check but then was no where to be found when we were ready to pay and never came back to the table....we had to find another waitress. Well...where do I start the food is amazing!!! They have dishes, pizza, hero's to desserts I mean everything...( this is coming from an Italian ) it is just real unfortant that the owner and or manager is a real nasty person....I have had 4 different problems such as asking for no mayo on the chic hero my son is allergic HIGHLY in any event when they delivered the food I asked to speak with the person in charge and he really did not even care at all thT my son is allergic HIGHLY and had already eaten a few bites....he said and I quote " well the driver will bring a new one ..but WE NEED TGAT HERO BACK and I absolutely can not I reapeat can not give u anything for ur inconvenience" so in turn my son had to watch his siblings eat and he was very hungry.. Being 7 yrs old he don't really understand. And by the time my poor kids food for to my door we were calling an ambulance...and I did make the manager/ owner aware and he said well as a mother I should have checked what he was eating... That's terrible..it really is all in all the food is amazing but the service is terrible actually imparissing I did have other issues. But my son thank God is fine now and we tell everyone that we hope they lose their business cause that's not a way to run one. I hope this helps. read more

Always so tasty - no matter what we eat. Pizzas to pastas . The place is always clean and busy. Yet the service is right on. Take a look at those desserts! So pretty. One caveat beware of the gluten free. My niece with celiacs had two obvious cross contamination experiences. She won't go back. But we will and do. read more

3 strikes and your out!!! Placed an order for the 3rd time and had to drive back each time because they forgot one dinner. When you order delivery you can wait up to an hour and a half for your food to be delivered. By that time you forgot what you ordered and aren't hungry anymore. read more

I have been a regular at Mama Lisa for the past 8 years. Me and my coworkers go there once a week at least. I have tried many items on the menu, but usually end up with the Grandma, Regular, or Chicken Panino. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. My husband even says their pizza is as good as Little Vincents in Ronkonkoma (his #1 choice). Love this place!!!! read more

Happened to be in the Mastic area and stumbled upon this place. Food was excellent. Prices were a bit on the high side. Service ~ eh not so good. The Waiter was one of those that "disappeared". Hard to find him when you needed him. Plus he totally forgot to put in our appetizer order in. We sat and sat and sat, waiting for him to surface, watching everyone else get theirs, finish theirs and go onto their main courses. Finally got to ask him about 20 minutes after ordering where our appetizer was ~ he walked away, came back apologized for his mistake and offered us comp desserts for the mix up, since our dinners were on their way out. We were good with that. Decided to only order one dessert. It was delicious also. BUT as I was scanning the bill at payment time, I noticed we were charged for that dessert! I paid the bill, and left without arguing about it. Instead of my usual 25% tip ~ he got 15% Will we go back again? Probably Will the next time we are in Suffolk County; BUT we will ask not to have him as our server. read more

I went here Saturday night with friends. The place was packed. Now I know why. The food is delicious. The bread is fresh and warm. Some of the best bread Ive had in an Italian restaurant. We all enjoyed our entrees. I had the chicken francese which was tasty. Cant say enough about our server. I wish I remembered her name to give her a shout out as she was top notch, friendly and attentive. The next day my husband and I went in for lunch and had a few slices of pizza. Best mama slice I have had. I only wish I could have eaten more but was still full from the night before. Will definately come in again. read more

This place is really a gem in Mastic. The food is consistently good, and they have a very wide variety of gluten free items as well.

It was ok for me but my husband liked it.. he is gluten free and had many options... the gluten free calamari was very good. He ordered the clams in white sauce on GF spaghetti and said it was very good.. he said our other Italian restaurant we patron has better but this was very good for a close to home restaurant..( not many restaurant options in our vicinity) he would rate his meal 4 stars... now onto my dinner- did not want to order a heavy meal so I ordered the " long panini", with mozzarella, tomato, basil and prosciutto... I should have take n a picture of it. The size was very disappointing... I was expecting something bigger like the name indicates ( insert " that's what she said")...the ciabatta bread was toasted but the ingredients were cold- cheese not melted at all- it was a capresi salad just on bread. I will say they did not skimp on the prosciutto... Prices are a bit more expensive for the area but we do not mind paying for good food... Will we come here again- absolutely, but now I know to order something more substantial. read more

Every time a went to Mama Lisa's there was a problem with the food... I don't like cardboard pizza with Ragu sauce, so I stopped getting pizza there, and tried there restaurant food instead, well there pasta was always undercooked, and every time I ordered something fried the grease wasn't hot enough and I got soggy food, there way to over priced, and there food is rarely fresh enough to be worth it... So if you are in the Mastic area, don't waste your time, take my word for it, I'm Italian, and picky with my pizza, I would rather go to Savaronas or Vincents Pizza anytime, I will never go to Mama Lisa's again... read more

AMAZING!!! Just had a baby shower there. Food was GREAT and everyone enjoyed themselves. But I must take the time to compliment the staff. The manager, Andrew, was very professional and was in constant contact with me the weeks prior to my event. Answered my every question and was very attentive. Paid attention to every detail! Even took care of my cake situation that wasn't delivered from my bakery! The waitstaff was extremely helpful. Even helped with our decorations! As I was waiting to take care of my bill, I was even offered coffee by a busboy! Had help taking gifts out as well. Looking forward to bringing my family for dinner and holding another event there in the future! read more

The food here is awesome! Some of the best around. The restaurant service is great. The pick up and delivery service is poor at best. The management is sad. I've spent almost $2000 in this place in 7 months, now not a penny more. They have messed up several times in a row. They gave me the wrong hero's and made me drive back and forth. Then tonight they charged my credit card and made me me pay cash for the same order. Yes I got my money back after an hour or so, but they wouldn't just reverse my credit card. Awful management! Their food is AMAZING! They use all local merchants, which by the way are the best! The fact that we can get resturant quality food delivered is GENIUS! My husband and I are from Nassau County where delivery is abundant, not so much out here and they that they deliver all the way to Easport is key! Wonderful Italian food. Sauces are delicious , quality is amazing, and I am particularly fond of the seafood. You can tell a good restaurant by the quality of the sauce and seafood and neither one disappoints. Another wonderful trait is that they deliver, and even as far as East Moriches. We recently had an event at Mama Lisa's. I will start off by saying this: The food was great and the server was excellent. There was no shortage of food either, our guests went home satisfied. They even accommodated a gluten allergy beyond expectations. Planning and payment of the party, however, were a different story. The event planner, Andrew, failed to return calls and emails in a timely manner. We only received the menu to decide what to offer 2 days before the event. While discussing the menu, Andrew ignored half of what we said. It was discouraging, but we've been to the restaurant before and know their food is good so didn't worry about it. Shortly after the phone call ended (within 20 minutes), we realized we made a mistake regarding the desert menu and sent an email asking to change the desert options. We called the morning of the party to make sure everything was good (they never responded to our email with the correction). Andrew swore he didn't get an email but after insisting he check again, we was able to find it. He quoted us $30 for the change in the menu, and we were fine with that. When it came time to pay, the menu change was $50 on the bill. We asked to speak to Andrew to find out what was going on. He came out and admitted he made a mistake. He said the change actually cost them $84 (which for 14 slices of cake sounds extremely high to me) and they were "doing us a favor" by charging $50. I asked him simply to charge us the original $30 that was quoted to us. After much complaining, he took $20 out of his pocket and said he was paying the difference. I thanked him for committing to the quote that was given to us. I also made sure to double check with the waitress that the difference was not coming out of her check. She said it wasn't. Andrew made a show of the whole ordeal, and it was quite embarrassing. After he walked away, he made snide comments about me under his breath which several people heard. Later we receive emails from him stating that if we ever want to book a party with them again, we need a signed contract (which is fine by us, we were not asking for anything other than what was quoted to us). Next, unbelievably, he sends us an email saying that the difference was taken out of our waitresses check! For this reason alone, I will never host another party there or go to this business again. I cannot support a restaurant that takes the mistakes made by management out on their employees, and neither should you. 5 stars for the food and waitress service. 0 stars for management and the way they treated us. Update: I spoke to the owner of the restaurant and they ensured me they were not aware of what this manager was doing, and that the waitress was not being docked. Sounds like they need to find themselves a new manager. read more
