Tonight was my second time visiting Nine Thai and it made me question why I took so long to come back. Everything was so amazing from the speciality beverages ( I got the strawberry lemonade with strawberry "snow") to the most amazing curry I have had in a long time. First time coming here after passing it numerous times on the way to the Broadway Theater. So glad we decided to eat here. The food is fantastic. Four of us went before our show. The menu had so many options that all sounded great, so making a decision was difficult, but in a good way. We split two of the special apps that night; Boom Boom Shrimp and Crab on Crack. The Shrimp came out in a edible bowl with greens, fried noodles, and of course the sauce. It was really good and the sauce wasn't that spicy for you non-heat people. The Crab was a small crab cake, pineapples, and pepper on a crispy delicate puffed cracker (not sure how it was made). That was my favorite of the night. I jokingly said that next time I'd just order five of them for my dinner. For out main courses, my wife had the Thai Crab Cakes and our friends had the Pad Thai and Chu Chee Salmon. All of them thought their meals were great. I had the Evil Jungle Princess, which I must admit was partly because of the name, with shrimp. It had two pepper icons next to it on the menu which I've found in some places to be very hot. However, the spice level was perfect; just the right amount of heat. The dish itself was delicious and I'd recommend it. The place itself is very nice inside. The service was very good. It's a byob which is a nice option, but they also took the time to refill our water glasses whenever they got low. Highly recommend this place and can't wait to go back. read more

Rude server, never smiled. Party of 4, we were the only table there at 5:30 on Thursday night when Pitman Theatre was sold out. The service was 5-star with super attentive wait staff that tried really hard. But food was a bit bland for me and probably 3-star (compared to other local places) ... even with added red pepper on top to make it spicy. My friend seemed to like the Thai Iced Tea, Spring Rolls, and Shrimp Pad Thai ... but my Chicken Tom Yum Soup and Chicken Drunken Noodles could have definitely used more seasoning. There might be potential ... so, maybe worth another try and next time, might order some other items instead. read more

I had the cashew chicken and shrimp as well as the money bags (looked like little fried dumplings); both were great. The Money Bags were quite hot, but delicious. The berry rice was not the greatest, though I hoped for the best. I think I would've stuck with white rice if I knew, because it was an added expense. The cashew chicken really seasoned well, better than I was expecting, though I don't often eat Thai. My last memory of Thai food was not one where I noted it was seasoned well. First let me say I'm a Thai snob I've been blessed to experience some great Thai food soo anything less than exquisite won't get more than 4 stars even with excellent service. Masaman curry was good as was the shrimp purses. The trend im seeing at local Thai restaurants is the use of similar sauces on every dish soo no matter what you select they kind of all taste the same. As was the case when i went. The seafood special tasted just like masaman curry which disappointed us because we like to share and taste the menu. Of course we'd go again Because it was good just not great. read more

I moved from Philly last year and honestly I expected that my Thai food options would be inferior on this side of the bridge. I was wrong. The veggies from Nine Thai are always fresh. I recommend the delicious Panang curry with tofu or one of the bog bowls of soup with rice noodles! So satisfying. read more

The 4 of us arrived at this new establishment in Pitman on Wednesday. That was the day there was a tornado citing near us and there was no one at the restaurant but our table. It took us over an hour and 45 minutes to eat. The service was very slow. I wondered if they had more tables how long would it have taken to eat there. If you only have one table you need to give them great service. The restaurant needs to train the waiters on customer service this needs work. We ordered several appetizers. The Tom Ka soup was very good and tasty. The spring rolls with pork were also good and tasty. The budah dumplings were not very tasty at all. The chicken satay was tender and flavorful. The main dishes were good as well but I have had better at other Thai restaurants. The drunken noodles and basil fried rice were the tastiest. The rest not so much. Since there are other Thai restaurants near me that I think have better service and tastier foods; I will most likely not come back again. I would give the food 3-4 stars and the service 1 star. Appetizers were excellent!! Veggie rolls were crisp and hot, Thai chicken tacos were very flavorful with just enough heat/ spice. Chicken/shrimp wraps were exceptional. We both liked them the best of the three but all were a good choice. I got the spicy beef pad Thai with rice noodles. For my meal and loved it. Will definitely make this a regular stop. Gotta give credit, when credit is due... We've eaten here several times and Nine Thai keeps getting better. Ambiance is really nice, very clean & the music is great- very chill. Fern was our waitress last night. She's very sweet, attentive and helpful. I've had the Happiness Fried Rice (topped with a decent crab cake) and the Thai Basil Eggplant with Shrimp. Both were really tasty. Also on the Specials was a light and slightly spicy Thai Dumpling which we would get again! It's a BYOB and that is always helpful but I would say the prices are very fair. The former location of Thai Burger (not the same restaurant or owners) has been beautifully cleaned and spruced up. Unfortunately, the food is not up to par. My husband had the pad thai and said it was inedible. I had the Moo Yang and it was just ok. Not much to it. We did not finish our meals. The apps (pot stickers and golden triangle) were good but not great. Pitman is becoming a foodie paradise and hopefully Nine Thai can get better and stay in business. read more

Stop what you're doing and go there now! The food was INCREDIBLE, plenty of options for vegans (me) vegetarians and meat eaters (my husband). We had the Buddha dumplings as an appetizer, I had Drunken Noodles with Tofu and he had Drunken Noodles with shrimp. They were outstanding , just the right amount of spicy. I tried Coconut Pudding for dessert, melted in my mouth and he had delicious Green Tea ice cream. We will DEFINITELY be going back on a regular basis! read more
