Chicken Cutlet Sandwich

Amazing food, just delicious. Was recommended to this spot. Hands down one of the best Chicken Sandwiches I've had. Coming back again for everything on the menu!!!!

Veal deluxe sandwich so yummy

HIDDEN GEM ALERT!!!!! In the middle of an industrial area hidden in an industrial unit lies Parmigiana Sandwiches. Anyone in the Vaughan area knows that sandwich places are a dime a dozen so it takes a lot to stand out from the others. Parmigiana does just that. In the middle of an industrial plaza this place is a guaranteed hidden gem. Upon entering you know right away that you are about to have authentic Italian food. Its a family run business right down to the the cute Italian grandmother cooking in the kitchen. They are only open Monday to Friday until 3 pm or 4 pm so you can only enjoy a sandwich for a few short hours daily. My suggestion is to get out there and try this place as you will not be disappointed. Do you self a favor although the service is quick if you are there after 12 noon you are guaranteed a line up. I usually like to get there just before 12 to beat the rush. Last time I tried the veal cutlet deluxe sandwich. Its the veal but instead of sauce it had lettuce, tomato and mayo on it. The veal was fried perfectly, the bun was super fresh and just the right amount of toppings. Parmigiana Sandwiches just happens to be close by to my work so there will be many more visits in the near future.

Veal sandwich.

Definitely one of the best veal sandwiches I have had. Love the option for a spicy sauce. Meat was tender and the breeding just right. Friendly staff and quick service despite the place being very busy.

A small sandwich shop somewhat off the beaten path with excellent food. Fresh crusty Italian bread and delicious veal. Not a huge menu but what they make is excellent.

Fantastic local sandwich shop. Bread is fresh and sandwiches are made to order and delicious. Cozy little interior and you can tell there is a local clientele that visit often which means it's great food.

We enjoyed multiple salads, gnocchi bolognese, spaghetti, penne à la vodka, and brick oven pizza. Staff was also wonderful and very attentive.

He's in his twilight years of working so these days he mostly spends his time making his own red wine from scratch, hunting turkeys, and growing vegetables in his garden. He clears the vibe check. I'm yapping now, but all this to say he picked Il Gatto E La Volpe for dinner so I knew this food was gonna SMACK. We started with margherita pizzas for the table, arrancini, calamari, and a couple bottles of red wine picked by Uncle Dan. My Mom got the gnocchi bolognese, which I knew I would get 80% of as she eats like a mouse, so I went with the Florentine steak. I hate to be corny and say "everything was sensational," but everything was sensational so Imma leave it at that. My favorites were the gnocchi bolognese and arrancini though, as I had never seen gnocchi bolognese on a menu. It honestly should be a more common dish. I'm making a prediction that by 2029, gnocchi bolognese will be a standard item on all Italian menus. Service was great, vibes were up, and this was just a great place to enjoy some much needed family time over some red wine. These haters got me stressed. SHOUTOUT TO UNCLE DAN! An Unforgettable Evening at Zafferano Ristorante…read more Last night, we had the pleasure of celebrating two of our family members at Zafferano Ristorante. Although we're not from Toronto and had never been to this restaurant before, our friends had booked a large section of the venue for over 30 guests--so we really didn't know what to expect. What followed was nothing short of amazing. We started the evening with some beautifully crafted cocktails. The drinks were delicious, and our waiter was quick to offer creative twists on our usual favourites--setting the tone for the night ahead. When it came time to sit down for dinner, the experience only got better. They kept bringing out plate after plate until we could barely move! The food was phenomenal: every dish was full of flavour, perfectly served at the right temperature, and visually stunning. A special shoutout to our waiter, Alex. He was outstanding--attentive without being intrusive, always ensuring our glasses were full and that every new course arrived with perfect timing. It was an incredible night and the perfect way to kick off our vacation. We left with full stomachs, happy hearts, and memories we'll talk about for a long time.

The meal kicked off with some nice warm, bread that was crusty on the outside and moist on the inside. We shared a few appetizers including Burratina, Gnocco Frito, and Margharita Pizza. The pizza had a nice mildly spicy sauce which made for a very delicious pizza. The Gnocco was fried pizza dough balls with garlic, Parmesan and a drizzle of honey. It normally comes with Prosciutto but we ordered it without to make it vegetarian. The mix of flavours was really unique and delicious. The Burrata was good but the other two appetizers stood out more. For entrees, we had the Spaghetti Genovese and the Stuffed Gnocchi. Both were excellent. Highly recommend this place.

This rating is based on a casual dining restaurant experience…read more 3 of us came in for dinner on a Thursday night. I made the reservation in advance and wasn't sure what to expect. The place has been here for years but this was my first visit. It's located in a plaza on the south side of Hwy 7 so there's private parking. As you come in, there's the bar and the entrances to both the main and private party dining rooms. We were quickly greeted and given our choice of seating in either room, as the private party room had only a small birthday party in a little section. We could enjoy a colder temperature in the private room, or average room temperature in the main room where it would be less noisy. We chose the main room and it wasn't uncomfortable. Our host provided our menus and gave a choice of bottled, mineral, or tap water. Tap water in stemmed glasses with ice was fine with us. To my surprise, it came with a full basket of complimentary bread, butter and spicy oil. I have not seen this for years and we appreciated it. We ordered a rice balls (4 pcs) appetizer which came with marinara. They were a good size and had some cheese pull. Our entrees were a Ricky pizza (one of their 20 specialty pizzas); chicken parmigiana; and home made pappardelle with chicken and pesto cream sauce. Our orders were served within a few minutes of each other, all huge, and piping hot. We were offered additional grated cheese tableside. Besides our host, the owner (I assume) came round to serve my husband's Montecristo cocktail and wish him a happy birthday. He continued to check in along the way as well. This restaurant reminds me of being in Calabria at eateries just like this, meaning, the Italian equivalent of the British neighbourhood pub experience. There are families with children who may roam, groups of ladies getting together for a meal, singles having their pizza and beer after work, all in a space that somehow makes you aware of being connected in your mealtime. The food is what you may remember enjoying as a kid at your Italian friend's house: nonna's home made everything, from the bread and oil to the pasta and tomato sauce. It's not fancy, it's plentiful and hearty home food. The tomato sauce is fresh, exactly what all my family produces from their own jarred tomatoes. My chicken was cooked through without being dry. The pizza was nicely crisp and charred, straight from their wood oven. The pesto cream pappardelle was delicious, with plentiful pieces of grilled chicken. Both my daughter and I had half our meals left to enjoy later. You can order half portions for half the price. My husband managed to devour his whole pizza. He even ate the crust - which he never does. We didn't order wine or dessert as that was waiting at home. I didn't think to check if they offer any prosecco besides the basic wine list but their website is very well done, so I will look again, because I would definitely return. It will be like being back in my family town in Italy.
