Great service and excellent food. I definitely recommend this place. I tried their chicken and beef banh mi; both delicious. Their coffee is must try as well. Will go back for pho next time.

I'd like to start and say that I'm not a big fan of Viet food, but my visit to LD completely changed my mindset! The Trio of servers and cooks put a lot of passion in their cuisine and you can definitely taste it. This simple takeout joint has a few seats to enjoy your meal, but the friendly crew's conversation really makes you feel like family. Where this place really shines is their Banh Mi! I had the pho and pork belly types; the meat, veggies, and crispy bun is just a carnival of flavors. The dipping gravy, similar to a concentrated pho broth, gives you that French Dip type of meal with a delicious Vietnamese flavor that I'm still craving. I can't wait to come back!

When you come to a foreign land, when do you truly feel integrated? That connection with this land, the sense of familiarity and security just like your hometown. How long does it take to build that feeling? I think it depends on when you truly own a house of your own and when you blend into the community. I came to Canada when I was in high school, and it's been almost 20 years now. I deeply understand how wonderful it is to be integrated into a community. I just moved to a new community over a year ago. I absolutely love the north side. Driving out toward the highway, you can see wide open fields and horse farms with running horses. This is the life I've always dreamed of. In this peaceful neighbourhood, everyone knows my little dog. Every day people greet him and kindly give him dog treats. My son also grows up in this community, watching other little kids be born and grow up. I know this place, I love this place. I know every street. I know which time to turn left for less traffic, and which other route to take. But not everyone can easily blend into this country and settle into a community. Today I want to share a special place. If you want to connect with local people, like meeting an old friend, go to Lysa and Mom Ly's shop. Have a bowl of hot, authentic, freshly made full-flavoured pho. If you love Vietnamese sandwiches, their sandwich made with halo chicken liver is absolutely amazing. You can feel all their dedication in the ingredients, and all their passion and kindness in the way they talk to people. Walking into this shop is not just entering a small restaurant. This is a place with 850 genuine 5-star reviews. Next time I come back, it won't only be for the delicious food or the great iced coffee. It will be because I know the owners, and I've heard Mom Ly's life story and her journey of hard work and growth. Normally, most restaurants just ask how the food is and beg you to leave a good review. But very few places can truly connect with you. They open up and share their own story first, then slowly build connection and resonance with customers. Mom Ly focuses on three main things: the quality of the food, the cleanliness of the shop, and customer service. Every guest who walks in feels welcomed right at home. This kind of vibe is hard to find in many restaurants these days. Most people are just working a job. Plus, in this younger generation, people are becoming more solo. They put on headphones and stay in their own world, rarely taking time to sit down and network with others. Living in this fast-paced world, whenever you have free time from work, come by the shop and chat with them for a while. You can feel the genuine warmth of this mother and daughter. It's something you rarely find and experience in Toronto anymore. I sincerely recommend everyone to come here. If you are looking for warmth, inspiration, or simply incredibly delicious pho and Vietnamese sandwiches, go meet Mom Ly and our lovely beautiful Lysa. I believe this will easily become one of your favourite local hidden gem restaurants.

AMAZING Banh Mi!! A close friend of mine recommended for me to try this restaurant & it did not disappoint. I got the chicken lemon grass banh mi & beef lemon grass banh mi. The quality of the meats, toppings & bread are all super fresh & tastes fantastic! You also MUST try the iced coffee, wow is all I can say! The owner & family are the nicest people I have ever met, they made me feel like family & welcomed me with open arms. The attention to detail & service is the best I've ever seen. The prices are extremely fair for the quality & size of the portions you get. This is 100 % by far the best I've ever tried & I will definitely be telling my friends & family to try this new restaurant. I cannot wait to come again!

The food was amazing as expected and so was the service. The service was fast and very helpful. But honestly I been going there for the last few days and one thing, a person has truly brought colour to this place. A girl so beautiful you can mistake her for a angel she looks so heavenly and sweet, I think she the real reason I go back everyday, she always there sitting in the corner in her own little world it's so adorable especially those small little smiles of hers . I seen her make drinks so she definitely a worker there, she makes that place look so lively it's truly blows me away that a girl like that exists. A girl so rich in her outfits and clearly a woman with wonderful taste in food. If I come back and she there I could eat for hours, she is so memorizing to the eye, idk how I can describe it. Wine braised pho hotpot - I really enjoyed this hotpot - even more so than their typical pho. You can get unlimited soup refills too which is great. Broth is light yet flavorful. Pho - decided to try their "regular " pho which has a bit more herbal notes than their hotpot. It's not bad but I could see some of the herbal/spice undertones being off putting to some. Stret style platter - lots of good, great variety, very fresh. Loved this dish - getting to make your own customized roll is worth it. Durian crema coffee - an interesting that I've never seen. It's line a typical coffe but a large and thick layer of durian foam layer on top of the coffee. Price: A bit higher than other pho places but well worth trying

I will say that the server was so kind and when she heard we were watching our salt intake, she offered to make our broth less salty. They were still tasty but less salty. We were so pleased! The beef pho has a good portion of meat and there was lots of seafood in the tom yum soup. The large spring rolls had many rolls! Fresh and delicious! We walked in and were greeted by a friendly few staff members who showed us to our table. The decor inside was modern, it was clean and the ambiance was great. As soon as we sat down we were brought hot drinks of our choice to warm us up. It took a while before we settled on our meal choices after much discussion. We have some vegetarians and some non-vegetarians in our family so it was nice to see that vegetarians could be accommodated here. All of the meals turned out to be very tasty from our appetizers to our mains. Spring Rolls** were crispy, tasty and served with a sweet-spicy sauce. These were the outstanding showstoppers of the entire meal or at least a few of us agreed that they were our favourite choice. Vegetarian Cold Rolls (small) were crunchy, refreshing and served with a peanut sauce with roasted peanuts on top. I was told that my homemade version of vegetarian cold rolls was even better than the restaurant version since I include more tofu but this restaurant version came in a close second place. Stir-fried Vegetables with Tofu and Steamed Rice was very super flavourful, as was the veggie soup broth. The main vegetarian dish had a bit of kick to it, lots of black pepper, and a tangy spicy taste which was almost too spicy for one family member's simple palate. Nothing a bowl full of rice couldn't fix. What would make it a 5 star rating would be if they had included a bit more tofu, otherwise it was a very good dish. Grilled Pork Chop with Rice was wonderfully delicious. The veggies made the dish eye catching. The flavour packed broth was delightful. It was served with a drizzle of oil of green onions which when combined with freshly steamed rice make the perfect trifecta. Stir-Fry Rice Noodles with Seafood (which had squid, fish balls, shrimp and possibly scallops) was very well received by one hungry man. He didn't mind that the vegetarians had more veggies on their plates than him. Stir-Fry Rice Noodles* with Vegetables had a great colourful presentation and tasted very good, according to another. Once again their only other comment about the dish was that they wished there was more tofu in it. What would make it a 5 star rating would be if they had included a bit more tofu, otherwise it was also a good dish. The staff were more than accommodating to the requests of grandparents who needed to relocate tables to stay warm during this cold winter season. My family very much appreciated our visit to this restaurant. Fantastic hospitality. Great service and friendly personable staff.

Disco lighting fixtures and a tucked away stage lend the space an unexpected theatricality, as though it were built for celebration rather than mere sustenance. We ordered their most popular beef rib pho. In terms of meat, I don't know if we got the scraps, but we had a huge additional bowl with a bone of tendon. I love tendon. You either love it or hate it, but I love tendon and we ordered this specifically because they mentioned they will add a bone of tendon. Not sure if it's in all bowls or just what they had left. It was certainly worth the money with the offer. While we picked and cut away all the tender tendon pieces, there are some connective tendon pieces that are still bit stiff, I mean I try to pressure cook it bit more later along with my ingredients when I got home to get the adjoining tendons between the bones and made another collagen rich soup / broth. We also ordered a broken rice dish with chicken and it was good too. We had a lot of leftovers and the next day the soup broth did thicken up indicating a good amount of bone broth. Overall service was great and they even had the FIFA game playing on the screen. Definitely a spot we'll add to our rotation.
