First batch of chips and salsa are complimentary and refills are pretty cheap, but one basket is sufficient for us. I tried the "Cinco de Melón" margarita this time, a frozen watermelon margarita with lots of Tajin. It was a good margarita - I really liked the spicy Tajin with the watermelon, and the drink was appropriately strong. Always friendly service and fun atmosphere. In my experience the service is almost never slow. The waitress on our last visit was actually a little too attentive; it felt like she was coming by every few minutes while we were eating to ask if we needed anything, but definitely better too much than too little. I've visited some other Mexican-American restaurants in the area in the past few years and it seems to me that the quality and degree of "authenticity" at Tapatios is comparable to similar places, so my family continues to come here because of proximity and familiarity.
