Best chicken Parmigiana ever!!!! Unexpected gem in Cle Elum. I'd drive over from Seattle once a month for this meal

Delicious food that was able to accommodate our 13 people party that just showed up on Sunday night. Fabulous job for the 1 chef who finished cooking our food to deliver at the same time without. Only thing is if the guest asks to order the steak well done (I know.. My friend's fault for doing this), it may be good to set expectations on what a well done steak will look, including how well blackened it will be so that the burnt parts are hard to cut off. Service was friendly and awesome. Definitely a place to keep in mind on the way back from a hike in Eastern WA.

Great food!! My hubby loved his Gnocchi and marinara, and my Salmon and broccoli was charbroiled to perfection! Kelly, the owner, was our server, and she was wonderful! We will be back!

This is as the penultimate fancy food destination in the 1980's living in Ellensburg. A quaint home, with a cute dining room, great food and a fancy atmosphere. I literally haven't visited since perhaps 1985? A fancy Thanksgiving dinner with my mom and her older women's studies professor... hm, maybe mom was in her feelings? At any rate, it's a good memory in a sea of bad. At any rate, we had a reservation for four at 5 on a Sunday. There was only one other diner at that time. We sat in the front window and were greeted with the lovely wait staff. Five stars for the service!! They were amazing. We ordered the Bagna Cauda for the appetizer. The description had many things on it, but the majority of what we had was Napa cabbage and other assorted vegetables, not including cauliflower, which is my favorite. So according to the server who brought out the cauldron and put it on the hot plate. You have to keep it completely full without letting the garlic burn. At any rate, even though I wished we had had more cauliflower or broccoli it was very delicious and the focaccia bread that was with it was so soft and delicious. Let's move on to the entrées. We each ordered something different with the thought of sharing, and I think the best thing that we got on the table was the shrimp linguine with the butter garlic sauce. The next best thing was the cheese ravioli with white sauce in my friends sampler. She also had the lasagna which is pretty good, and I had the prime rib ravioli, which was just a dry, really, really dry. Also, I did not like the marinara sauce. It had a taste of some sort of five spice or cinnamon. I'm not sure not my favorite First favorite sauce is garlic. Butter second is cream and coming in at a very late third is marinara. At any rate, it was a very nice presentation, and we all had a lovely time. I just don't know if I would go back, because the flavors and the atmosphere weren't enough to justify the price. Honestly, I would go back and just have the Bagna Cauda and the bread and a side salad and a nice drink and have a lovely time.

Waiting for them to open in 7 minutes! (4:30 pm)

Coffee was good! Steak was a B-/C+. Bleu Cheese salad was poor! Soup and spaghetti were very good! Service was abysmal, waitress dissed us and took two party's of 5 never came back. A lady from kitchen came out to help. It isn't busy at all and this happened! Cherry Italian Soda was great! A little better than mediocre overall!

Button mushrooms sauteed (and swimming) in garlicky butter sauce. Amazing.

The server that got us was very friendly and nice. We ordered cocktails; a sparkling rose' for me and a jalapeño mojito for my husband. The jalapeño mojito was delicious. Just a tiny amount of heat and the jalapeño came through. I ordered a Caesar salad to start. Was topped with anchovies and was good and crisp. My husband ordered the halibut with green curry. It was cooked to perfection and very tasty. I got the pappardelle ragu because I was told it was fresh in-house made pasta. The sauce was good, but the noodles definitely didn't taste fresh or have in-house made texture. I wouldn't order it again. I was having fomo so we ordered the ribeye medallion crusted with potatoes and I wish we wouldn't have. It was the most bland dish I have had recently. I don't think the ribeye or the potatoes were seasoned. I get that it came on a sweet onion jam, but that was just sweet. There was no salt or pepper coming through at all on the meat or potatoes. I wish we would have sent it back. I am just not that person. Luckily with enough fresh ground pepper and salt at the table, it made edible. We told our server, she didn't seem to care. We decided we couldn't end on a bad note with the ribeye medallion, so we got the lemon tiramisu. I have never heard of lemon tiramisu. It was so good. I highly recommend. I saw the chop tomahawk come out of the kitchen multiple times and it looked amazing. Ambiance is great. There is an open kitchen so that can be loud. Be aware there are high top tables when you make reservations. Would definitely go back.

Sweet little table right next to the fireplace with a view straight into the galley kitchen. Centrally located for all to see, several busy bees putting on a show of prepping and cooking. Menu is not overwhelming with just enough choices to cover the bases. Hubs had a perfectly prepared Ruben and I had the yummy just thick enough Clam Chowder. Our server was chatty and friendly. From the stunning views over the valley below, to the tasty cocktails, to the wonderful eats it was a great way to chillax on a lovely Saturday evening. Having had a not-great experience with wine (at a different venue) earlier in the day, we opted for cocktails here. My extra dirty martini with cheese-stuffed olives was phenomenal, and my friend enjoyed her old fashioned. We shared a roasted beet and burrata salad as an appy, then moved on to our main courses - I got the prime tenderloin and she got the cider glazed pork. We washed it all down with a couple of chocolate espresso martinis for dessert. My tenderloin was cooked to perfection, and accompanied by some sweet little roasted carrots and a lovely heap of mashed potatoes. My friend reported that her pork was more like a stew, and she really enjoyed it. What really put our experience here over the top was the absolutely amazing service we received, especially from our waiter, Trevor. He was friendly, funny, and helped us navigate the menu when we couldn't decide what to get. He also told us a little about the geological history of the area, which is built over an old coal mine. This place wasn't cheap, but for a fun night out of splurging, it was perfect!

Honestly, if your establishment holds 10 or 100 people, the staff and kitchen should be able to manage that number. We saw one table actually leave after waiting longer than us without their food because they had somewhere else to be. Not great. Once the food finally arrived we were so hungry that I'm certain anything would have tasted good. We didn't complain or ask but they did remove one soda from the tab. It's a cute place with a decent menu but I'm on the fence about bothering to give them another try.
