It was a good amount of food. The second visit we ordered nachos and tamales. The nachos are quite yummy and very heavy. Two of us could not finish them. There were enough leftover toppings for another serving of nachos in our own chips the next day. We had to get the tamales to go bc we had no room left in our bellies. Fried tamales were unexpected! We tried one bite and I think they'll be pretty good. I did want the lighter experience of a regular tamale tho.

Additionally, the room is set up so that everyone turns to look at you when you come in. This would not be so bad if you were greeted as a welcome guest. However, that is NOT what it's like! In fact, the wait staff was aloof almost to the point of being rude. We felt like we had crashed someone else's party and we weren't welcome! The food itself was not worth the money. We had the Parmesan garlic wings, and some potato dish, and the tamales, The wings were ok - nothing to write home about tho - but the potatoes, they were dry and a bit burn flavoured, and definitely not worth the price! The tamales were edible, but the refried beans and Spanish rice were awful (himself NEVER leaves food and he left this). I got a margarita and it was horrible too (how do you get a margarita wrong!) We felt like we had been robbed by the time we left! As for the tables and chairs, the table was wobbly and the chairs were so miserable to sit in, it was clear they didn't want you to stay long. Lastly, it was cold in the restaurant in general. Not an experience we want to have again!!

The server that got us was very friendly and nice. We ordered cocktails; a sparkling rose' for me and a jalapeño mojito for my husband. The jalapeño mojito was delicious. Just a tiny amount of heat and the jalapeño came through. I ordered a Caesar salad to start. Was topped with anchovies and was good and crisp. My husband ordered the halibut with green curry. It was cooked to perfection and very tasty. I got the pappardelle ragu because I was told it was fresh in-house made pasta. The sauce was good, but the noodles definitely didn't taste fresh or have in-house made texture. I wouldn't order it again. I was having fomo so we ordered the ribeye medallion crusted with potatoes and I wish we wouldn't have. It was the most bland dish I have had recently. I don't think the ribeye or the potatoes were seasoned. I get that it came on a sweet onion jam, but that was just sweet. There was no salt or pepper coming through at all on the meat or potatoes. I wish we would have sent it back. I am just not that person. Luckily with enough fresh ground pepper and salt at the table, it made edible. We told our server, she didn't seem to care. We decided we couldn't end on a bad note with the ribeye medallion, so we got the lemon tiramisu. I have never heard of lemon tiramisu. It was so good. I highly recommend. I saw the chop tomahawk come out of the kitchen multiple times and it looked amazing. Ambiance is great. There is an open kitchen so that can be loud. Be aware there are high top tables when you make reservations. Would definitely go back.

The broth was perfectly seasoned, clams were cooked just right and it had an elegant touch of pork belly, saffron and smoked sausage. Genuinely one of the best orders of clams I've ever tasted. We also ordered the Halibut with a curried coconut sauce and the fried rice cake. The halibut was cooked perfectly, the rice cake was AMAZING!! Perfectly fried and paired so well with the intense and rich flavor of the coconut curry broth. The halibut was seriously the star of the show, you can tell it is fresh by the quality of the meat. My boyfriend was very surprised at how the risotto was prepared. He added steak to his risotto which was cooked to a perfect medium rare. The texture and taste was spot on. Our server, Sharae was very pleasant and reccomended alot of amazing drinks to us as well. She took excellent care of us with having the balance Of professional yet fun/ outgoing personality. She was just the sweetest. We finished our meal with a mouthwatering LEMON tiramisu. Out of this world, Melts in your mouth!! Perfect absence of lemon, cream and the cake was rich and both delicate at the same time. 10/10 best restaurant in town. Will be back for breakfast. The owner Kim was so awesome, very fun to converse with. Her and Sharae made our experience very memorable. Thank you for taking great care of us!!

Even though there were multiple options we considered, we thought stopping at Cle Elum will give us enough gap before we stop for lunch later in the day. One of the top choices we had was Sunset Cafe. It's located in the main street with a lot of parking spots on the roadside. We walked into a typical diner place with some great ambiance and interiors. They do have multiple dining areas and we got ourselves a booth. The interior decorations speaks a lot about the local and Washington history. They do offer omelettes, classic break fast options + Sunset specials. Their offerings are family recipes passed down through generations. We started with coffee. Ordered Got Blues from the specials, Greek scramble a stack of pancakes. There were a very few customers at the time - so I decided to walk around and explore. They do sell pies, brownies, cinnamon rolls. And they are popular as well. I have seen many walking into get those. They do have a bar and lounge as well. The food arrived relatively quick. It was a scrumptious breakfast for us. Kids had a great time enjoying the sweet treats as well. Got Blues was on point - delicious! The best among our pick! Service was top! The staffs were very friendly. We were helped by Nancy that day. She loves to talk about their food and the pies. Lovely personality! We did pick up pies on our way out as well. The food was great; service was amazing. We used to do a lot more Oregon coast or Whistler but with border closing and Oregon shutting down! Can't do much. Love: we love suncadia. Our recent trip this month was for my birthday. So I decided to splurge and get a penthouse. We didn't need that much room but figured why not! Not all rooms were created equal. That's for sure! We checked into our penthouse to find deli fried chicken someone left in the fridge, m&ms under bed, dust all over! Especially behind the tv stand, very visible area. Also candy wrappers on the floor. It was very poorly cleaned especially for pandemic! I went to front desk and showed them the photos of all the dust, chicken and candy wrappers. The girl was nice apologized and gave us resort credit. You can use it only in the lodge building restaurant/ bar and gift shops. Which came in handy later when we found out the fridge didn't work and ended up having to dump all our food. Also: Devon from front desk: first told me he'd check with manager for changing rooms. Later, turned out he was the manger. That was weird and left a sour taste. Back to the room: It's a full size massive fridge. I brought cakes, food and other perishable items in cooler bags with ice. Also a blue tooth device for the fridge just to keep the temperature in checked. It took 4-5 hours for the fridge to cool down / below 50 degrees. Ended up having to dump the food because food in warm fridge? Just unnecessary! They can't do much to help except give me ice. They did send someone up but he told me he doesn't trust anything with smart phone devices. And told me I was wrong. aka the blue tooth's temperature! Overall, love suncadia and previous stays. Hate suncadia penthouse stay/ experience!! Would not come back for this. Or if we do, definitely skipping the penthouse!Too many errors for one room. Totally not worth it and ruined our happy spot. We still made it happy somewhat. But all the stress could've been avoided!

It's probably seating for 40, and there are a large number of TVs for the size of the space. We stopped in on an evening when the Seahawks were playing, so it worked out very well! The bar is about two steps up from a dive, and had a nice array of nonalcoholic options in addition to the standard, small town, alcohol fare. The food was quite good, and pretty straightforward. It's pretty standard bar type food, with a couple of nice burger options, a couple salads, and a couple other fried options. We ended up with a number of different burgers, and a couple of salads.
