Hands down, best food in town. Love the family atmosphere. Unfortunately, I'm dropping this place because service has really gotten bad. Two weeks ago after I was seated, the server forgot to come and get my order. Other tables nearby were getting their orders. Finally, she came and got my order. Then she never came back to give me the bill. I finally went to the front desk cashier to pay. Today, it happened again. After I was seated, nobody came to my table. Finally, after a while, a fellow colleague of the assigned server to my order on her behalf. A wonderful meal was served and enjoyed. Then silence....no bill. I waited and waited. Finally, I went to the front desk and paid my bill. Plus, some of the servers insist on standing there while the customer has to swipe their card, select tip amount, save transaction then save amount, and then fill out a satisfaction survey. First time personally visiting, but my family has been a few times now. I'm giving it 3.5 stars based on my experience because I do think my next visit will be better, based on the baklava! That is a must get! I have the impression they do Greek food really well but everything else seems mediocre. I ordered the chicken fried steak, which was a small portion and lacked flavor. They also initially brought it with brown gravy covering it even though I ordered sausage gravy. Not a big deal, but they told me they had the correct one in the back and would bring it right out. I waited longer than expected for "it's already made," and I'm pretty sure I was lied to and had to wait on a re-fire, which came with the gravy inconspicuously on the side this time, but the service was friendly nonetheless. It was Valentines weekend so we ended up being there while they were quite busy. Still, the wait wasn't terrible, all considered. The French onion soup was delicious, and we were able to get it as a side for only a $2.50 up charge. Worth it! My wife got the turkey meal (not pictured, sorry) and it reminded me exactly of the tom turkey meal I used to get at the diner in NY when I was a growing up! The restaurant is large, bright, and clean though I think it tries to give southern kitchen when really they should probably lean more into the Greek diner vibes. It was the 5th of May, a dreary night. I was out with my buddies, Pasi and Toni M; our late-night sharks had put us in the mood for some delectable chicken and waffles. So it was decided. At the crack of dawn the following morning, our sharking adventures would take us to Mama Z's. Although Pasi was initially irate about the lack of gabagool on the menu, he eventually decided upon the mando chicken and waffles. We fell in love; that morning breakfast was the best time I've had since my 3 minutes with the Misses the previous Friday. As we made the long trek back to Intercourse, PA, all we could talk about was our golden-brown chicken paired with the fluffy waffle, potato cakes on the side, of course. Dropped by last weekend for a late lunch while in the area. Not too busy as the lunch crowd as dispersed by 2 when we arrived. We started with the potato skins which were pretty tasty. Loaded with crispy bacon and cheese and a side of sour cream, we were off to a good start. Unfortunately the main course was a little lacking. I got the country fried steak with mashed potatoes, green beans, and corn pudding. The fried steak, mashed potatoes and green beans were just lacking in flavor which was a bummer because the corn pudding was very good. Had a weekend breakfast here when we were in the mood for a good diner and this delivered in all the right ways. It was fantastic fast service with a simple homey ambiance and the food was delicious with good prices and large portions. I loved that they had good meat options beyond just pork since I don't eat pork and the turkey sausage was actually good. My fiancé loved the Carolina breeze omelet. Visit 28 SEP Ending parents weekend at WF with the wife, my son (an Assoc. AD there) and two of his excellent friends is worth 5 stars. My immediate impression of this pleasant place tucked into a strip mall near the university is a hybrid of IHOP, the classic Greek diner, and a dash of fancy brunch spot. My dining partners shared that there had been a recent decor upgrade, it works, lots of family photos. The service was effective and friendly. Our direct server was a sweet older woman that gave off nice Aunt vibes (with a bit of a take no stuff salty dog). They all help each other bringing food and those folks were non-nonsense but pleasant as well. We got four full meals and a take out Avacado Toast for a missing wife who had worked late night fire dept. duties. (They brought that out as we were getting check so it didn't sit too long, I thought that was a nice touch). Orders came out reasonably quickly, although we were busy talking and laughing so no real time measure conducted. Everyone enjoyed there meal, not a lot leftover. I had a western omelet with grits, and a biscuit. While the eggs were a bit more well done than I prefer, it was all fine, no complaints. My wife remarked on her corn pudding, everyone liked the biscuits, looked great (a bit dense for my preference, but executed well for that style). The chicken and waffles one person got looked great, I had a little entree envy. If we get a chance to come back I will try that. I got the chicken fried steak which came with mashed potato's and two more sides AND a corn muffin- it was a very large portion of food. I'm sorry that the Phone did not eat first. I needed a place to have lunch and attend a meeting at the same time and was able to do both at this location that I've never visited before. Everyone was very nice and even accommodated me next to a place where I could plug in my computer. They asked me if I had any questions about the menu and was very helpful. I ordered the jumbo shrimp with pintos and fried squash and ordered a corn muffin. Everything was really good could've been just a little more salted, but I probably don't need that anyway and was able to add a little bit for myself. It's busy all the time but especially on Sundays for brunch, as everyone seems to come after church. Ambiance is casual and inviting. Very laid back atmosphere. Staff is friendly and courteous. They are on top of everything and serve you quickly. Your order is always correct and I have never had an issue. The breakfast Choi es are my favorite. They have some very unique dishes. The different types of egg Benedict's and Skillets are all amazing. Today I got the croissant scramble, two scrambled eggs with ham, spinach and cheddar on top of an open croissant with hollandaise sauce covering it all. OMG it was amazing. Since moving back to NC, Mama Zoe Michael's has been our go-to place for an enjoyable casual meal when nothing cuisine specific is on our radar. Great breakfast options under $10 and lunch offerings hover around $12. The dining room is comfortable and clean, and we've always had great service. I usually don't comment on restrooms, but they're modern and very clean as well. Wow, we are really impressed! We were driving through the area and my wife had this in our Yelp bookmarks and we thought we would check it out. We came here a little after 11am on a Saturday and it was busy. It is located in a small strip mall so, there is adequate parking. There were people waiting outside near the girl scouts selling cookies. There were also people waiting inside. We were told the wait would be about 20 minutes. The time went by quickly as we looked at their specials board and chatted about their impressive desserts. We were seated in a booth near the entrance and Tina, our server quickly brought us menus and took our drink orders. We asked and were provided a breakfast menu and a lunch menu and learned they serve breakfast anytime. During our interaction with Tina we learned a few things. They opened in 2008 and renovated during Covid and increased the size incorporating an additional space. They are affiliated with CinCin Burger bar, Waldos Wings and Yamas Mediterranean. We have only been to CinCin and it is one of my wife's favorites! Tina told us they have two salads with french fries on them which she said remind her of her childhood and are amazing. My wife ordered the farmers omelet with fruit and a biscuit. I decided to get the country style steak special which is a ground beef patty on rice with brown gravy and two sides. For my sides, I chose country green beans and onion rings. Our food took a little longer than we would have expected but we knew they were short handed and it had been communicated to us. They are also currently closed on Sunday's because of short staffing. Tina checked on us often and kept our drinks full. When our food arrived it all looked amazing! And, it tasted great as well. We were both very impressed with the food, portion size, taste and cost. The service provided from Tina was amazing. My meal also came with a roll which I tried last. It was like a glazed donut without the frosting. Tina told us they were fried. The outside was crispy and the inside soft, I was floored. It was so delicious, I told my wife she needed to try it. Tina stopped by again and my wife asked if it were possible for her to get one as well and Tina returned with a warm one. It was delicious. This was a great find and one we will return to often. Second time here and the experience was great. This environment is nice and cozy for our first pajama breakfast and there was 20 of us. Our waitress (I wish I got her name) she did not disappoint. We walked in around 11am on Saturday and the place was packed however we were immediately seated. Already I had a good feeling to see the restaurant so busy on a Saturday morning. Not to mention the smell of cooking chicken from outside, it wasn't hard to follow my nose. We started with cheese sticks because why not? Cheesy perfection.
