Mamacita's is a fun place. The atmosphere is great and the service was pretty good as well. I went with my grandkids and they loved the little robot that brings your food to your table. The food was OK. The chips were a little thick for my taste and the sauce was a bit too sweet, but it was not bad I had the enchiladas and they were pretty standard. It said they came with three different sauces, but mine only had the red sauce. My daughter got the chimichanga. I tasted that and it was very good. As my grandkids loved this place I'm sure we'll go again. I'll have to order something different and see if I can raise my review. read more

Everything was pretty good at Mamacitas. I wasn't very hungry so I just got a chicken soft taco, which was yummy, juicy, and had a nice flavor. I liked the cheese on top. My husband went with a taco combo and said it was a little bit spicy but he liked it. Their drink menu looks really fun-so many different flavors of margaritas. Mamacita is normally fairly decent, but tonight (on a takeout order) I was disappointed in the De La Costa Fish Tacos. Know that if you order it, you will NOT be getting what is shown in the menu picture. Instead , your fish portion will be the size of your index finger, length and width. It was almost absurd. It was so small I couldn't even say how the fish itself tasted. Bottom line , i would not have ordered it had I known what to really expect and would recommend against ordering it. read more

My daughter ordered the ACP togo and when she got home there was a long hair strand inside the meal. My daughter called the restaurant to let them know she would be coming back up for a remake. The manager escalated the situation very quickly upon arrival. She accused us of lying about the hair until we explained it was still in the food. She dug through it in front of us with her bare hands and said it was our hair. To make matters worse when we asked for a refund she pointed out the kids menu is not be ordered by a teenager. The health score is a 91 and the manager not only made the situation very bad but also uncomfortable. I will never recommend or eat here again. read more

Came here recently for lunch and had a good time! First, service was excellent - we were seated immediately and our server was present throughout the meal without being overbearing. The place definitely a pretty interesting, colorful vibe going on, which I enjoyed! Before we ordered our food, someone dropped off the classic complimentary chips and salsa. Honestly, I was a little underwhelmed by the salsa especially, as it was kind of watery without a ton of flavor. I ended up ordering the lunch portion of steak tacos (which was only $7.99!) while my wife ordered another lunch item for $8.99. Definitely a good deal! While we were waiting for our food to arrive, we marveled at the robot that delivered the food to the tables :) Pretty cool and definitely worth a visit just to see it. Anyway, our food arrived (via robot) in a timely manner, and it was very tasty. I really liked my tacos (the corn tortillas tasted super fresh!) and the sides of rice and refried beans were pretty decent too. Mamacita is a good vibe. I love the bright colors & textures of the artwork on the walls. The interior of this restaurant is beautiful. I immediately began to take photos. The staff here is very friendly. Our server was immediately at our table to take a drink order. He even gave some menu recommendations. My friend and I ordered fajitas quesadillas and enchiladas. The highlight of the visit was a robot that brought out our food (see video). It was a neat experience that was completely new to me. The food was so good and the portion size was perfect. We eventually ended up ordering Tres Leches cake. The cake is definitely worth ordering. All and all, I will be visiting this restaurant again. read more

Dinner out with the hubby, son, daughter -in-love and two grandsons. Fun atmosphere-music was a little loud but the service, the food and the ambiance were all good. We went about 5 pm on a Saturday. Thankfully, we beat the crowd. When we left there were customers waiting. When we were seated they brought complimentary chips and salsa. We ordered the Guacamole and the young lady made it at our table. We also ordered Queso Dip. I thought it was a bit thin but the hubby really enjoyed it. Two of us had the Veggie Chile Relleno. The others had the Pollo Hawaiian and the Enchilada Mamacita. The 2 1/2 year old had the kid's cheeseburger and fries. The 11 month old was had the rice and beans. I also had the House Margarita; it was so-so. When deciding between this Mexican restaurant and another restaurant, the fun attraction that would tip the scale in favor of Mamacita's are the robots that serve the meals. We have liked this restaurant in the past, but tonight we had a very poor experience. Our server abandoned us after taking our drink orders, and it took the manager stopping by to see why we were looking worried. He took our entree order, and we both ordered the Special we'd seen on the way in--Tacos Quesabirrias. He said our drinks were ready on the bar. It took another 10 minutes for the bartender to bring our drinks. The tacos were okay, but we were expecting better, having had the dish in other restaurants. After the meal, the server brought the bill, and the prices were almost double what was advertised! I let the server know, and she went to see what the board outside said. When she returned she said, "Oh, that was the lunch special," and then just stood there. We paid our bill and walked out. As we passed the front desk we remarked that it is false advertising to post specials and not honor the prices and asked the staff there to remove the board or erase it. They looked at us like we were crazy. Then one of them started to argue with us. We won't be returning. read more

We've been waiting for Mamacita to open in the old Mikes BBQ spot in Beaver Creek. It's obvious why it took a bit longer since they've gutted the old interior and made it into a vibrantly gorgeous and inviting space. Seating was very comfortable and well spaced. Service was very good considering we happened upon them after being open for about a day. They don't have their bar set up yet but will have a full bar. The food is what stands out here. They have some unique fusion dishes instead of the more traditional Mexican fare. Everything that we had was very fresh, well flavored and well balanced. When you walk in the door, you walk into a great atmosphere. I love the decor and vibe of Mamacita. The food is absolutely delicious! I ordered the Rib-Eye and it did not disappoint. The steak was so flavorful and nicely cooked. I also had a yummy pina colada. All of the drinks that came to the table looked beautiful and everyone enjoyed their drinks. I was not impressed with this Mamacita location. My friend and I dined in and sat at the bar. I ended up ordering two beers and the chicken enchiladas during our visit. I was going to order a margarita but they were way overpriced. The service was good but the food was not the best. I also do not recommend sitting at the bar since it's right by the kitchen so you hear the robot cat go by every time that food needs to be delivered. If you want to try one of their alcoholic beverages then I recommend going on a night when they have a special. read more

Second time there in as many weeks - both time were great! Fast friendly service. Chips and salsa brought when you sit down. Large portion sizes - enough for two meals easily and at a good price. The chicken in the ACP was very tender like it had just been cooked - not dry or tough! Same with the shrimp! Carnitas were flavorful and coupled with the rice and retired beans with pickled onions on the side were fantastic. The dishes were served on nice plates, and the flatware felt like something you would expect in a better restaurant (not a chain restaurant). Plus the food is brought to you on a robot! (It's fun!) I was in the mood for Mexican so we decided to try Mamacita we decided on ordering online. I thought the prices were a bit high but not outrageous. I was disappointed that I had to pay a tip for takeout. I was disappointed when we arrived home to find the food was cold not cool cold. now I wouldn't be bothered if I was 10 mile from the restaurant it but I'm less than five miles, Taco Bell food arrives home still warm. The Mexican Corn was bland and the nachos were soggy and cold. Now the Chile Relleno was ok not what I was expecting. I'm sorry to say while Taco Bell isn' t true Mexican but at least the meal comes home warm and I don't break the bank for a mediocre dinner. read more

I Just have to say "wow"... what a pleasant surprise and all around great experience. Mamacita's is really one of the best Mexican restaurants in Apex. Hands down the Spinach and Chicken enchilada was the best we have ever had. The verde sauce made the meal. It was light, and creamy with a mild heat. Even the Arnold Palmer was fantastic....which was a nice surprise. The atmosphere and interior design of the dining area is fun with stunning hand painted murals. Our server was very nice, extremely knowledgeable of the menu and attentive, but not overly so, through the meal. You have to go just to see the food delivery robot motoring around the dining area and was great fun for all the kids. The prices are very reasonable especially for the quality of food, nice atmosphere and service. I highly recommend Mamacita's for your next night out. read more

The food was ok, tofu tacos were not very good. Cheese enchiladas were ok but sauce was really sweet... Chips were stale... the drinks were VERY strong. please talk to your bar tender...Waiter was very odd.... should probably focus more on actual service than the little robot running around. Although cute i doubt it saves much money. I'm sure there are plenty of people who need a job and could be just as great at running food! i do give points for the artist for the murals though! very nice! read more

Food: The food was excellent. I'd call it higher end home style. All your favorite items are there - quesadillas, tacos, enchiladas etc. just elevated. The quality of chicken is some of the best I've ever had. They also have a large selection of California style burritos. Ambiance: they did an outstanding job with decor. Very nice interior to bring family or for a nice date night spot. Compared to Mi Cancun - this blows them out of the water. Service was also great and they also have a brunch menu coming soon. They have a bit of gimmick for the robot serving the food - yes there is a robot and kids love it but it is just a cart on the wheels programs to go to specific table and server still unloads the dishes to your table.
