    Chicken parm family tray
    Justin P.

While I have never stepped foot into Daniel's before, my family has been taken care of, on multiple occasions, by their reliable and consistent catering. Whether it be a small family gathering, or having friends pop in, everyone has taken a liking to the food on offer. I have a degree of confidence that my catering experiences here translate positively (if not better) to the dine-in experience. We typically opt for the family size trays and this is usually plenty of food for the event we are hosting, plus lots of leftovers. From a price perspective, I think things are fair! Our go-to pick is their chicken parmesan on top of pasta. Daniel's is not shy with the amount of chicken they offer, and I think it is delicious. Although done via catering, the chicken stays moist and the parmesan breading survives the commute back home. You will probably need extra sauce to top the chicken at home, but I am glad they do not over-sauce at the restaurant and make everything soggy. My only complaint about this item is the pasta. It always sits under the bed of chicken and becomes really soft, I almost prefer just eating the chicken on its own. My personal favorite item are Daniel's meatballs on a good day. On a good day, you can really taste the blend of meats used in the meatballs and the texture is delicate. I could seriously eat two dozen of the meatballs on a good day. Unfortunately, there have been a few times where the meatballs lacked flavor, but the good days are great! My family's other favorites include the focaccia bread and lasagna. We always have plenty of food and happy faces at the house whenever we cater. Next step will be to come in and eat at the restaurant. I know Daniel's by their limited family tray menu, but I would be curious to know Daniel's in its full capacity.

Our group came back again to try this place. There were 14 of us this time and we were all set up in the same corner as before, we were just thankful it was ready. This time the waiter was much much better and did a great job with everything from our drinks to getting to go boxes. I had the lasagna lunch special and it was good. It came with a choice of Caesar or garden salad and bread had already been served and passed around. No butter or oil for dipping but it was still good. When I asked about dressing choices he said they make all the dressings in house. The decor is nice and there is a private parking lot. We will probably try this place again in the future.

Daniel's Italian Restaurant in Apex, NC was such a delicioso treat. I had the chicken parmigiana and my cousin had the lasagna. The menu was quite extensive, but we went with Italian classics. The service was wonderful as we went during the middle of the afternoon on a hot summers day and practically had the whole place to ourselves. Needless to say, very large doggie bags came home with us! I would LOVE to go back!

this is what you get for $25

what happened to this place? This used to me our go to takeout. Recently i went to order for pickup our usual penne ala casa and Chicken Alfredo pasta. Called in the usual and was shocked to hear the cost. What's even more shocker is how small the foil container now and the food was not as good as before. So they jacked up the price but the quantity and quality went south. 7" container that's halfway full, this is what you use for salads and side dishes., for $25 a pop i'm sure you can do better. Time to find another place or like what my partner said, your penne and Alfredo tasted way better anyways. I mean if you're going to jack up the price at least maintain the quality and portion smh. Never again!

    Penne with spinach n' Margarita

Cozy spot with lovely décor, perfect for dining in. They even offer free bread to start with, which was a nice touch. Tried the lobster ravioli and penne with spinach, paired with a margarita. The pasta dishes were incredibly delicious--the sauce was creamy, flavorful, and perfectly spiced. The lobster ravioli was absolutely outstanding... I couldn't stop at just one bite and ended up cleaning the plate! Highly recommend.

    Crème Brûlée

Still the tastiest place within miles to truly enjoy Italian food. Hubs enjoyed his dish of Chicken Marsala, I had a really wonderful bowl of homemade seafood chowder, and for an entree I had perfectly cooked Calamari! Dessert was Crème Brûlée and it was made to perfection as well. Waitstaff was Parker and he's very conscientious about your drinks and other needs. I'll be back to Daniel's as my "go-to" Italian restaurant!

10/10 this was delicious. We started with the calamari and it was done perfectly. Oops to the only piece left. Next I had a Cesar salad. I shouldn't have as I was already getting full- and to be honest, it was average. Forgot a picture of that. But the main course. Oh man! Veal Madeira over pasta is the way to go. The portions were huge and I have plenty for tomorrow. My friend had Cajun pasta with salmon and the piece was a nice size! She loved hers too. The homemade focaccia was also delicious. Keith, who waited on us, was wonderful and while the place was busy, it wasn't too loud. It's a nice cozy spot. I'll be back soon. Oh! And they had 0% Prosecco! Perfect for my pregnant self.

We went to Daniel's for our anniversary date. The food was ok. I feel like it used to be better but haven't been in a while. The waiter forgot to put in our appetizer so that was a bummer. Drinks were good. They gave us a cute little dessert for our anniversary which was nice.

Phenomenal meal at Daniel's tonight. Enjoyed the food so much last Saturday I came back today and brought guests. The spicy shrimp puttanesca did not disappoint. The spice pushed my limit. Shout out to Keith for the great service and taking care of us.

We arrived to the restaurant 15 minutes before our reservation, we went to the bar for a drink. We were greeted by a very friendly bartender- she gave us drink menus and told us the specials. My husband ordered the usual Jim Beam and coke- they only have Pepsi - he only had one (he dislikes Pepsi) I tried the cab sav - they had 2 kinds- I got the bottle- the nice bartender wrapped a scarf around the neck of the bottle:) Our server Nick was friendly, service was a little slow be he was very nice. I ordered the chicken parmigiana with linguine- it was good but some of the chicken was burnt:( otherwise it was nice.

I knew it was a local fine dining restaurant, but just making reservations was an interesting experience. (Call and leave a message, there's no open table. There's a form to fill out. What?" As soon a we arrived we realized a reservation wasn't necessary as we were the only guests there for 30 minutes or so. My wife and I ordered: Glass of Wine, Ravioli, a Roman Pizza, a side of green beans, and a desert of tiramisu. The food was quick as we were the only ones there for a while as other guests came in. But as other recent reviews indicate, the menu options are pretty small, but the pricing and ambiance doesn't meld. I expected more redesign of the dining area that was used by the former restaurant; but that wasn't the case. It was a bit small dining room. I'll go back for an appetizer or glass of wine due a gift, but the pricing is too high for the food and the portion size that you get.

We booked an outdoor igloo for what was supposed to be a special night out with friends, and…read moreinstead got a cold, confusing, overpriced dinner that honestly felt like a parody of a "premium experience." First -- the ordering rules were never explained. Four adults sat down and each ordered an entrée, only to be told that apparently we were only supposed to share one entrée and one pasta for the entire table. How exactly are four people -- especially with dietary restrictions -- supposed to eat that? It made no sense, and the confusion led to us ordering extra just so everyone could actually eat. The igloo itself was freezing. There was one tiny heater doing its best, but only the person sitting directly in front of it was comfortable (YAY ME!). The rest of our party spent the night cold and distracted instead of enjoying dinner. It would get a little warm and then a server would unzip the dang igloo and leave the flap open and we were back to freaking COLD. Food timing was chaotic -- two meals came out, and the other two arrived about 20 minutes later. One guest who is lactose intolerant was hungry while waiting and asked for more bread, only to be told no. That's not hospitality -- that's just frustrating. Like... you can't bring the cold hungry man some bread? I'll PAY for the tiny pieces of crust but good Lord, just poor hospitality. Then the bill arrived: about $437 when we expected closer to $330, largely because of the unclear ordering situation. They SHOULD have 1. explained the "deal" better 2. automatically taken something off of the bill due to the additional meals being 20 full minutes behind the other people at the table. 3. Brought bread when asked ffs. They did take one of the "additional" meals off, so to be fair... when pushed... they did fight back, make a bit of a scene and ultimately took some off the tab. It was never about the $$ by the way... but paying over $400 for a sub par meal in Holly Springs in a cold igloo will be a good story I suppose. And the biggest disappointment of all -- the food simply wasn't good. At all. For the price and the hype, the quality just wasn't there. The lasagna was bad. Risotto pretty good honestly but not great. We are easygoing people who go out often, tip well, and genuinely want to support local restaurants. But this felt disorganized, uncomfortable, and not worth the risk -- especially when we've since heard similar feedback from friends. It's a shame, because the concept could be fun with better communication, warmer setups, and much better food. Unfortunately, we won't be back. We left colder than when we arrived and not happy with the food at all. Just no... go elsewhere.
