Incredible place. The reviews don't lie. This is the best catfish and hush puppies I've ever had. The staff is so warm and welcoming. We also had the Mac and cheese and collards, both great. Can't wait to come back and try everything. Wonderful place. Highly recommend!

Whose grandma is in the back cooking this. I'm from the south so I know some good seafood and this is what I call some good soul food. The fish is flaky and fresh. I'm definitely coming back here.

I arrived right at opening time. The dining room was clean and well-lit. I purchased the flounder and shrimp entree. The Flounder is very good. Seasoned just right and palatable for the location (Apex). Not overly and under seasoned. Mac and cheese are good - flavorful, creamy, and cheesy. Hush puppies could be better. The texture wasn't my liking. The collards were perfect. The collards were seasoned with pork, and it's very hard to mess up anything with pork. Overall, good food and great customer service.

Want home cooking you don't have to cook? Then head to the fish house eatery. Friendly & Smiling service - Clean environment - Space to eat - Ample menu choices - If you can't find something on the menu that works for you, you might not be trying enough.

My mom and daughter were in town for a wedding and I treated them to dinner at this restaurant. My mom is one of the best soul food cooks I know and she thought that the food was amazing! And it was. The service was great and the restaurant was clean. I'll be returning soon.

Today, I had the bang bang shrimp, collards, mac n' cheese, and hushpuppies. This time I remembered to take a picture. You can tell looking at the plate it's going to have a lot of flavor. Another delicious visit! Highly recommend.

The Fish House Eatery is open in Apex. My mom and I dined in for lunch a few weeks ago and had a good experience. I ordered the lunch plate with flounder, cabbage and mac & cheese with a lemonade. The fish was just okay but I really enjoyed the sides, I'll definitely be returning soon.

Outstanding. Three picky eaters left happy. Mac and cheese in particular were exceptional. Baked chicken was a surprise hit.

We made reservations ahead of time online since it was a Holiday. First off the front staff was super friendly and got us to our table right away. Love the feel and the decor. The lighting was a tad dark but that's ok. It was still cozy and romantic. Our waitress was super friendly and knowledgeable. They had a special Valentine's Day menu. She ran down the specials by memory. She took our drink and appetizer order ( the calamari fritti) gave us time to check out the rest of the expansive menu. The drinks came and our app. The lemonades were very sweet and nicely tart from the real fruit purée and lemons. Delightful! The calamari fritti was a knock out, home run. The breading was delicious. The calamari was nice and tender. The marinara was so good. Get this is you like calamari! For our mains we got the Sea bass special with the creamy risotto and asparagus and the figure 8 stuffed Flounder. Lemme tell you...This place knows sea food. What an incredible experience. The sea bass Valentine's Day menu special was cooked to perfection. So flaked and moist. Seared and seasoned perfectly. They should add it to the main menu. The risotto was amazing. Creamy and flavorful. The asparagus was cooked perfectly. The figure 8 stuffed flounder was delicious as well. The crab stuffing was absolutely great! The sauce over top was creamy and worked perfectly with the flounder and crab. It came with the most delicious fresh green beans with a couple nicely seasoned tomatoes. The rice pilaf was also really nice. Around this time I realized the Valentine's Day menu had Oysters Rockefeller ... and I love oysters Rockefeller. So I put in for an order of those. Best oysters Rockefeller I've had in a long time! Add these to the menu! For dessert... we ordered the apple crumb at vanilla bean ice cream. Perfect way to end out meal. We cannot wait to come back and try the rest of the menu! Save us a table! Kudos to the staff and chef / cooks. Yall did an amazing job.

Nice atmosphere inside, but recommend reservations as they fill up quickly. The Deets: Some friends/coworkers and I decided to catch up over a meal and we decided on trying out this location of Cape Fear Seafood Co. on Lake Pine Drive. I had been to the one located in the Village District (formerly Cameron Village) of DTR in the past and knew of this one opening up through Yelp. If you know me, I am usually not one for seafood but remember I had a pretty good experience at the one in DTR. We noted that it would be a good idea to have a reservation so one was made. Good thing, this place gets crowded fast, even around the 5pm point. Upon arrival, we were promptly shown to a table with menus. While walking in, this restaurant has that beach type feeling with brightly painted areas and subtle pelagic decor without going overboard. The bar area gave a warm, inviting vibe. Back to the menu, their menu is pretty expansive but not over the top multiple pages. I think even the non-seafood lover can find something to like here. We started with hush puppies for the table and I went with the appetizer sized mini crab cakes for myself. I loved the mini crab cakes and the lemon beurre blanc sauce with them, just enough for a starter and tasted great. The hush puppies were good as well but just a tiny bit too brown for me, they were a little bit more done than I'd like. I like them more of a golden finish instead of brown, just my preference. For my main dish, I went with their Cape Fear Shrimp & Grits. They are a pretty popular choice here and I remember liking them at the DTR location. They remained a great choice, they were delicious. They are very flavorful and enjoyable without being spicy, which I like as I am non-spicy food person and it seems most everywhere does their shrimp & grits spicy. I find this take on them refreshing. I would have liked more cheese grits in the serving as it seems to be like a half serving, however the shrimp as well as the creamy sauce were plentiful. Service did a good job here, checking on us periodically. In all, I liked this experience here at Cape Fear Seafood Co. for the most part and would enjoy visiting again in the future.

I quickly scanned their hefty bloody mary menu and ordered the Lobstrocity, featuring veggies, shrimp, a grilled cheese sandwich and a fresh lobster tail atop a sizeable glass of the main concoction. But no, I was indeed at Sora and parked just fine on a Saturday afternoon. The woman up front let me sit where I wanted. Jenny was my server. She was welcoming, helpful and kind. There's a lot going on with their menu, but the pictures were generous. I appreciated that! With Jenny's help, I ordered the Rolls Royce and the Naruto Roll. Also, the pork bun and spicy edamame. It was too much food, btw. But the rolls were bogo, so I had to get two. Two winners, two almost losers. The Royce was flavorful while the Naruto was bland. They know this, so they give you a "Naruto Sauce," which didn't help much. Besides, the pieces were so loosely packed that their insides kept falling apart into the sauce bowl. It was a dumb scene and I'll never order it again. As far as flavor goes, the obligatory green horseradish concoction helped. A little. Pork bun was tasty, but it also fell apart, splitting at the back, exposing its rear like an outfit Prince would wear onstage. As crazy as it sounds, I'm gonna say the spicy edamame were the standout dish. But I couldn't finish the healthy portion, so I took it home. The prices are too high. I ended up paying $50 for the visit, while the rolls were bogo. Bogo deal and still $50! That's why I won't be back. Aside from the little missteps, it was still a positive outing, but the prices are a no-go. It's kind of upscale money when the borderline Five Guys interior doesn't justify it at all. 3.5 stars and rounding up because I'm nice. Best, A.

We set up a reservation as it is can be difficult to just drop in unless you are prepared to wait. The atmosphere is great, with excellent ambiance, and all the staff that we met were very upbeat and kind. To start we had the Tom Kha soup and a sushi roll, spicy tuna. The Tom Kha was very disappointing. It just had a very very watered down taste with hardly any coconut flavor. It was missing the traditional Thai flavor and had zero sour flavor to it that is usually brought in by the lime juice at the end. Perhaps they forgot to make it properly. The spicy tuna roll was just ok. It had heavy rice with a small amount of tuna. Freshness was good. My wife ordered the Pad Thai which must be the most popular dish as everyone was ordering it. Her feedback was that it was average and a bit dry. I ordered the Pad Kra Pao which was very good. The flavor was excellent and I used the remaining sauce to put over some steamed white rice. My only feedback was the spice level. I specifically asked my server if the spice was traditional Thai level or was he grading the spice on a more moderate scale. He assured me, the levels were Thai and that the food was very spicy. I went medium spice and it was very light and tame. I would go more spicy in the future. Overall the experience was a nice outing and we enjoyed the location. The food however was very mid range. Having traveled throughout Thailand, I was really hoping to have a more authentic experience but this feels like a sort of fusion. We have now tried 4 or 5 Thai spots around the greater Triangle area and Osha has been at the bottom food wise. With such amazing other feedback, I have to wonder if we just experienced an off-night for the amazing Thai food
