Over-the-top AMAZING! We're from South Orange County and have many good food choices, but I don't give 5 stars unless it's superb! Eggs Benedict is my favorite breakfast-- no kidding, these were the best I've ever had-- almost worth the drive up the mountain just for these! The poached eggs were cooked perfectly, the spinach underneath this Florentine Benedict was fresh, but the highlight was definitely the hollandaise sauce! Not too lemony- just right! The potatoes with the abundance of onions and peppers were so good I actually tried to eat them all, too, but just couldn't make it because the portion was so generous! The service was 5 stars, too! I asked for sourdough instead of an English muffin and they were so happy to accommodate! My husband is also pretty picky and his comment about "Manny's Omelet" was: It was super good, and the sautéed cactus perfectly accompanied the tasty blend of spices. Another service dog friendly establishment with limited options . Pretty much you order inside, sit where you like and the food comes to you. I came inside with the service dog I handle and placed my order. The dog is vested with service dog patches displayed. After placing my order I was informed I can sit wherever I like. I elect to sit inside to the dog can focus its job vs dealing with pet owners who do not have manner trained pets. The food menu is limited and the pup menu doesn't exist. The lack of a pup menu doesn't add or degrade my rating because I'm not seeking pet friendly places to rate. I am looking for places that do not give grief to service dogs. Always willing to educate to being ignorance up to speed because so much misinformation is alive and well. If you happen to be in Idyllwild CA and you have a service dog, please consider eating here. My wife and I ordered the chili verde omelette and the huevos rancheros. Both were very good. Weather was nice outside. Lots of people ordering so there is a wait in line and it takes a minute to get your food but it goes by fast as you are enjoying the views of the trees and listening to the birds. Place is pet friendly and there were several beautiful dogs there. SO, WHEN IT WAS TIME FOR ME TO PAY I WAS TOLD BY THE CASHIER THAT SOMEONE PAID FOR OUR BREAKFAST. THANK YOU TO THAT PERSON!! First off I would give this place 10 stars if I could. My wife and I ate there before leaving town. I got the chili verde omelet with the home style potatoes and english muffin. It was one of the best breakfast meals I've ever had. The chili verde was delicious and there was a good amount of it. Generous amount of avocado, cheese, and sour cream. The potatoes with green peppers was great. My wife got the vegan bowl that had vegan egg, meat, cheese, and some other things. She loved it. It was a large portion so she has some for later. The service was great and there's room to sit inside or outside. Lots of parking although I can imagine that the place is pretty busy on weekends. I came here with low expectations because I've had too many chilaquiles in my life and didn't think I can find good ones here. They were so good. The sauce had a good kick and the chips had the perfect texture. It was authentic. We got a a vanilla latte and a croissant and both were fresh as well. Plenty of outside patio seating due to covid and the interior looked very clean. To top it off they let me use the restroom which was also in great condition. Absolute best breakfast in I don't know how long. My partner and I were in the area for a weekend vacation and it was our first time in Idyllwild. We chose this spot for breakfast just from the look of the lobster benedict online. Did not disappoint! Best benedicts in forever. The lattes were also delicious and amazingly made. The environment was calming in my opinion, but I can see it getting noisy and hard to navigate if it gets busy. The staff were so sweet and helpful. Highly recommend!! read more

The food here is great! Lots of options for anyone that might be in your group. Indoor and outdoor seating is available and is one of the few breakfast options in town that can accommodate a larger party. We were a group of 13 and the first morning the restaurant was very busy so we only had the option of finding tables near each other, but the second morning we arrived before the crowds and the staff came out and pulled some tables together for us. This is a counter service restaurant, but the food is delivered to your table. Food came out quickly and everyone loved the food they ordered on both mornings (we all tried something new each visit). The breakfast burritos are HUGE and the salsa is the perfect level of heat (some in our group thought it was a tad spicy), so plan accordingly if you go that route. read more

What a let down. I got the BLT, wife a Steak sandwich. Add 2 sodas and wham $58! Are you serious? Then serve this masterpiece in styrofoam and pre packed plastic utensils/napkin! Long line on a Sunday morning but worth the wait. When you walk in, you're already in a line to order at the counter. While we waited in that line, we were scouting for a place to sit and luckily a table opened up almost right away. I got the pancake breakfast and it was great! But first, the coffee. That's important when you're a coffee drinker and away from home! It was hot and delicious, and I was happy to see they had the flavored creamers. I remember vanilla and caramel but there may have been others. My breakfast came with 4 strips of bacon that were delicious! Nice and crispy and although too much for me, my husband was happy I left a strip on the plate. The pancakes were fluffy and sweet and good even before I drowned them in syrup! I also had scrambled eggs that were a tad dry, but once dipped in the syrup, they were salty, sweet and perfect. My husband got the egg white omelet and I think he started to regret it while seeing all these huge breakfast burritos being brought out to other tables around us, but he was happy when his omelet came out and it was covered in cheese. The veggies in the omelet were very tasty and he was pleased he ordered it (but we do want to get one of those burritos next time!) Weird vibe! I really wanted to love this place. It's Kind of a fast food type of restaurant. Ordering was simple and the menu looked appetizing but the wait was insane and organization was off. After ordering we were told it would be 45 minutes before we got our food (no big deal I don't mind waiting) I ordered a mimosa, water and my son got a smoothly. We got our drinks minus the water 20 min later. They need better time management and that goes hand and hand with organization. Here's some tips that could help: 1. The cashier could use her time to help prepare drinks while in between customers. Or even serving the customer their drinks before moving on to the next customer. This could help the kitchen catch up and keep the customers happy with at least a drink while they wait 2. If it's more of a fast food vibe they should call names to pick up their order. The employee preparing the drinks was also going to find the customers to serve the drinks. This takes her time away from preparing and having drinks served in a timely manner. 3. Offer water to your customers while they order! 4. Food should be served on real plates unless your ordering to go. I am not a fast food type of person and especially for breakfast. I prefer to have more of a dine in experience with real plates and real silverware. It's never fun cutting into your waffle and breaking your fork or the fork going through the bottom of the container. The food was just ok. Not worth the wait. Sadly I won't be eating here again. Note: We never got our water and I finished my mimosa before my food came. Was not willing to go and order another one just to wait 20 more min for them to prepare my mimosa. Which was literally in hands reach from the cashier. ‍ I gave it a 2 star because one, I love the name which is why I wanted to try it out and two, I like the outdoor seating. read more

Terrible ordering system. I waited half hour for my food only to find out they lost it. People we're asking for refunds. Cmon it's 2021!

The food is not that great. We ordered breakfast and our biscuits and gravy were hard and stale. Not good service for the price. They do not wait on you. You order at the register. They bring you your food to your table and that's it. They don't come to your table and ask if you need anything. It's more like a fast food restaurant.
