    #1: 2 Corn Empanada Combo + 1 Can Soda

Mama Empanadas is truly a neighborhood staple in the Jackson Heights area. With over 50 empanada flavors to choose from, there's something for everyone. While in the neighborhood, I picked up a few varieties. My personal favorite is still the Biagra, their seafood empanada--always flavorful and satisfying. My husband loved the cheeseburger empanada, and we also tried the beef empanada. All of the empanadas had a great, crispy crust, which is something Mama Empanadas consistently does well. The only disappointment this time around was the guava and cheese empanada. Unfortunately, the guava filling didn't taste like the same quality I've had in the past. Overall, Mama Empanadas continues to be a solid neighborhood spot with an impressive variety and consistently crispy empanadas. I hope the guava and cheese returns to the quality it once had, as it's been a favorite in the

I purchased two beef empanadas and one chicken empanada with the green sauce. I selected the wheat flour. All the empanadas are great but I enjoyed the chicken one the most. The green sauce was a nice touch. There is a $10 minimum for credit cards.

So, my sister and I finally decided to stop by Mama's Empanadas, a place we've been eyeing forever. The timing was perfect, with a Peruvian festival rocking next door at Pio Pio. We dove into the egg, spinach, and feta cheese empanada and the yuca rellena de carne y cerdo (after a 20 min wait). The empanada was solid, but the yuca? Absolute flavor bomb! We got two sauces (I think we were only supposed to choose one but they gave us both): verde and hot sauce. Pro tip: the verde sauce is magic so definitely choose that one! Hiccup: found a hair outside my FIRST empanada ever here, which was a little off-putting. Not the best start. Unfortunately, my sister mentioned that she probably wouldn't make her way to come back after that experience (despite the food being good).

If you're looking for a late night bite to eat, Mama's is a pretty good option. HUGE selection of empanadas, savory and sweet. Definitely recommend getting an assortment. Chicken fajita, cheeseburger, and the USA dessert empanada are all great options. The restaurant itself is not really the kind of place where you'd want to hang out, but you can grab the food to-go, and bring it home easily.

Went on Friday 17th morning n there was super RUDE lady at front n she had BAD ATTITUDE n she was worst n horrible person.. I didn't paid her tips she showed her bad attitude. Good I didn't paid her no tips. Worst service. I'm not buying empanadas for free. Even for small sauce they charge $.50cent each. Not worth it. Even on that they put less quantity in it. Very much ripp off. I'm never ever going back to this empanada place. Zero customer service X

These truly are the best empanadas in NY. I love the variety and the ability to get baked empanadas. We didnt have one we didnt like. The breakfast ones are fantastic. Best green sauce too! 10 out of 10

Latino Bites is a small, no-frills Colombian eatery that's got a straight-forward menu, good service and AMAZING food. I've only had Colombian food a few times and I was happy to try something new - the menu has photos and descriptions for all different options. My friend'a husband is Colombian so she was very familiar with the menu. The Colombian burgers looked out of this world - also they are huge. BOMBASTIC I would say. But we both went with an Arepa each - I had the Chicken Arepa and my friend had the Chorizo Arepa. So so so good!! When the arepa first comes out, it looks small but once you start eating it, you realize the amount of chicken and the sauces on the arepa makes it very substantial and filling. Served with a little bit of salsa and a little lettuce on the side, it was very satisfying. They also have some juices, sodas, and other food options like tacos, pizza and of course, as mentioned, the burgers! Since I tried to "be good," it will have to possibly be a next-time treat! 9/10 spot; so good that they even have a good truck across the street.
