My debit card was charged not only for my meal but for someone else's meal. I called immediately and was told by Ernesto, who identified himself as a manager that he was aware of that. He assured me that the transaction was not processed and would not be reflected within 24 hours on my account.....2 days later and the debit remains. My bank advised me the charge was processed. Called again and again spoke to Ernesto who was condescending and rude and made it clear he didn't care that money was on hold in my account due to the restaurant's error. Asked for the owners name and he initially refused, saying I could drive to the restaurant and talk to the owner. I am at this restaurant at least once a week but will definitely find someplace else going forward. Mistakes are made and I understand this. But to lie about it and then make it clear they don't care that they have placed money in your account on hold is unacceptable and shows a total lack of concern for the patrons. If you visit this restaurant be aware and watch your debit/credit card closely. read more

Went for dinner because of the high ratings. Had the open face roast beef and it was just ok. They served green beans that had been cooked to death with no flavor. My friend had the meatloaf open face the she couldn't finish because it lacked flavor and was a solid mass. I ordered a slice of coconut cream pie that obviously store bought and had an awful after taste . I would suggest going elsewhere. read more

I have been going to this place since I was a senior in high school (I'm now 32), and the food has always been consistently good. They serve breakfast anytime too, and have lots of comfort-type-foods. I have probably tried everything on their menu at least once.. but am partial to the meatloaf, chicken cheese philly, and their eggplant parmesan. I also asked them if they would make me an eggplant sandwich once (something that's not on their menu), and they were more than happy to oblige. The guy that used to own the place won the lottery I guess.. you used to always see his Hummer parked outside! lol it's under new management now, but the food is as good as always! definitely recommended! read more

Taking them down a star for lousy hollandaise sauce. I ordered a custom omelette and asked for the sauce on top, it came with barely any on it. I asked About grits since I lived in Georgia and know grits in a Biblical Sense.... Well they are Ok if you like them runny with No flavor. Always a good choice for home cooked breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Very friendly owners and staff. Great service. We were in and out for breakfast in 30 minutes. Eggs Benedict were awesome! Hash browns perfectly crispy. My other half had the "short mama" special (1/2 order French toast, 2 eggs, bacon, and side of grits) and all items were cooked exactly the way he requested. The batter was crunchy and heavy, not at all like the light batter we are used to. The coleslaw was tasty; french fries were ok. It came with a large salad and hot rolls. I had the dinner special, Greek salmon. It was a piece of salmon topped with spinach, feta, and tomatoes. The fish was dry and had little taste. It was served with a large salad, yellow rice, and corn; an odd mix if you ask me. On the good side, the place is spotless, the waitstaff is super friendly, the prices are great, and the portions are generous. We don't plan on returning, but I think it is worth trying yourself. read more

I ate here for the first time today. I loved it! I decided to try something new because the local Denny's is hideous and I was tired of driving all the way out to Cracker Barrel. The interior is remarkably clean, and has a fresh, just redecorated feel (even though it wasn't). The place was well air conditions and not humid, which is a real problem for dinners. Sometimes you go into a dinner and you can just smell the moisture that has seeped into the walls. The drawback was the vent right above me on the ceiling. It was rusty and had towels stuffed around the edges. I kept waiting for something to fall or drip into my plate. Awful. Was looking for a good place to eat besides a chain since we like to support locally owned. Wanted something besides trips so we saw this place and it was packed. Was told it would be a 5 min wait, that should of been our first clue to run. Sit down and noticed that they proudly served Hormel all over the menu, that should of been our second clue to run, third should of been when the waitress had no idea what home made hash browns were. We placed our order and 5 mins later our food was out. There is no way in hell you can make all that food in less then 5 minutes unless it was all sitting under a heat lamp. This restraunt is pretty good at serving both breakfast and lunch meals. The interior is nicer and bigger than you'd expect for a local restraunt. The meals are splendid with large quantities for small prices. When I ordered strawberry pancakes, they gave me three enourmous servings with syrup on the side. The menu is also varied with othet breakfast items like eggs, bacon, and sandwiches. At the beginning you are offered coffee. The creamer and sugar is located at the end of the table in packets, making it easy to add as much or as little as you want. The wait time was also suprisingly quick and the staff was kind. However, I wouldn't say this restraunt is good for avoiding covid. Though you and the staff are required to wear masks, it doesn't get more complicated than that. But I'm not going to let that get in the way of a 5 star rating because the coronavirus is a hinderence that this restraunt can't avoid and it's not its fault. read more

Prices have gone up.. cheapest thing on the menu is a hamburger on toast with fries for $7.50 Soda's $2.19.. in tiny plastic glass, filled with ice and a splash of soda. They used to have free desert included with meal.. now that is about $2.00 extra. They used to have a basket of dinner rolls with every meal.. GONE. The soup was so over cooked that the pasta in it dissolved without chewing. The sauce for the spaghetti I had was very good flavor, but watery. I had to soak up the water with 2 napkins. The chicken parmigiana was VERY stringy and overdone. It took a LONG time to get served - which was made worse by not having dinner rolls. None of the 3 of us finished our meals, and we all got something different. The 3 other tables in the back room we were in also did not finish. Two of them left most of their meals on the table. Slow and lackluster service. Ordered a french dip, you can decide yourself what a french dip consist of but for me it should have cheese on it. They are hard to find so when I do see one on a menu I go for it! I have never had one that didn't have cheese on it. When the server brought it over, she placed it in front of me and walked away. It was there glaring at me. It can only be described as glorified prison meal. An overcooked already stale bun with three THICK slices of grey low quality meat slapped in between it. There was no cheese, no seasoning and no hope. I called the server over and asked her if this should have cheese on it (pointing to my french dip) she said "No, if you want cheese its extra" This is something I thought should be mentioned. If its extra fine, offer that the same way you would when you order a burger, do you want cheese on it? She then asked me "so do yo want cheese?" I said yes. She took the plate back and when it returned it was a thick slice of white cheese that had now sizzled to oblivion under the salamander for 5 minutes. The meat that didn't need to be cooked any more at all, just got even more blasted. I took a bite to see if for all it lacked in presentation if somehow it would manage to pack a punch of flavor. sadly no. The au jus tasted like brown water the meat was too tough to even get through. I pushed it aside and didn't go back for anymore. My neighbor was with me and ordered the club sandwich, I ate her cole slaw which was very good, and the fries that came with mine. The server didn't come over again except to drop our check which you take up to the front to pay. I had high hopes because it had a great diner feel to it from the outside so I would assume they maybe have good breakfast and thats what I should have stuck to. But I doubt I'll be back to find out. read more
