We love Gaby's. We have been coming here for several years now & it just keeps getting better & better OuiOui. We love several things here. We love to have brekkie here as it's a greek diner brekkie place that closes early at 3pm. However, we also LOVE to have lunch here as their lunch is the BOMB. I LOVE all their salads. They are all listed on my "favorite salad places lists." We also LOVE the Haddock sandwich here. They make a whole filet of Haddock in a platter or as a sandwich with sides yum yum yum yum :).... We LOVE a Fried haddock sandwich and they make the best one we have ever had here for $12.99 plus tax. Opposed to "Dan's" in Crystal River who sells theirs for $25 bucks and it's now horrible :( Gaby"s serves a whole haddock filet. If you get it as a sandwich, it comes with Lettuce, tomato, onion and PICKLES. With fries & Cole slaw on a Premium corn crusted bun. We get it with their fries. They make the best crinkle cut fries. Always hot & crispy. And we love their Cole slaw. It's an old school greek diner style Cole slaw. Superb. All of it, Winners Circle indeed OuiOui. The best part of the Haddock here is they batter it in a cornmeal crust. It's super crunchy and the batter stays on the fish. The Haddock sandwich stays together even when you cut it in half. Came here for lunch by myself, sat down and waited. Patiently the server never came. The hostess asked me if I had got a beverage order already in the hostess bring me my first drink then I ordered my food. My food came with no silverware sat patiently the lady looked at me and saw that I had no silverware . Said she'd get it. I got up. I had to go get my own silverware. They were all confused why I was asking for silverware and then my hashbrowns I swear was just like the crust and then they removed all the hashbrowns from underneath. I had the Country Combo: 2 eggs over medium, 1 biscuit and gravy, 2 sausage links, and home fries. NOw, I love biscuits and gravy, but I'm particular. Creamy with savory sausage, not too much pepper or spicy heat--yes, I know, but this is MY preference. Gabby's nailed it. Eggs were properly cooked, and the link sausage was OK but the flavor seemed oddly sweet to me. But the Home Fries were the star of the plate. We arrived at lunch time in a Saturday, they were medium busy. The place has the vibe of your standard old style diner. The service was very pleasant, however the furnishings are worn out and uncomfortable. We ordered the Haddock fish sandwich which was not on the menu, you had to alter the dinner Haddock. it was really good. The tartar sauce was obviously home made and the crinkle cut fries were cooked just right. We also had the jalapeño cheese burger which came with a nice hand made patty and fresh grilled jalapeño's was juicy and perfect. Over all a good experience. read more

Been here at 6:10 in the morning and multiple times. Even though sign says they're open at 6 o'clock. They are not !!!! How can you expect to keep customers if you can't even get out of bed to open your doors. The restaurant across the street it's always busy for this reason. My server was extra-nice and checked back and filled coffee regularly. The food was just average. Scrambled eggs were fully cooked and not rubbery. The rye toast was over-buttered. Ham was nothing special. Grits were a low point--too runny and no flavor. French toast was a little soggy on the inside. The coffee was good. The owner said ohh the server is new and that is why there are issues. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Be prepared for horrible service. When you try to tell the manager/ owner about the problem she laughed. The table are dirty and want you to sit at stations not ready. The lack of sanitation and food safety here is beyond disgusting and unacceptable. Sending food back cause bacon was pulled off another plate, and passes over as fresh is a slap in the face. For the price of the food and location you are better off going down the road for better service and clean restaurant. If you do come here, which I highly suggest you don't, ensure you are prepared for long food waits and blaming of the customer for the lack of skill the server has. read more

My boyfriend and I came on a Sunday morning around 1030am. Wasn't crowded at all and we sat down immediately. If you're not looking to sit down at a table, they have a nice bar you can sit at and eat your breakfast. They also have takeout. Our waitress was very nice, fast, and efficient. Within five minutes of ordering we had our food. I had some scrambled eggs, hash browns, and a turkey sausage and gravy biscuit (I know, totally not my NY roots but since moving south I love a good biscuit with gravy). Anyways, my food was good, but not the best. My boyfriend had their pancakes, sausage, bacon and corn beef hash - he enjoyed them. Back to the service, there was always a waitress walking around to make sure everyone had their coffee, as well as someone cleaning the dirty plates off your table asap.
