I feel awkward and hesitate saying this because my visit to Jimmy's Place was with a group but after stopping in for lunch, I believe that I can speak for all six of us. Jimmy's Place is the overall best restaurant in the area. We were engulfed in reading Jimmy's menu and when asked for her opinion our waitress whose name tag reads Robin spoke directly to each of us. She is nice, really nice and very hospitable too. If you can't do so today, make your visit to Jimmy's Place soon. The food is fabulous. Even better, you won't waist your money!!!!

This place has changed names a few times. Not sure if it is the same owner just trying to find one that works but the cook does not seem to be the same one as the last time we visited. Either way this place has good lunch selections, breakfast all day and lots of comfort food. It was nice so we say outside to enjoy the weather. We started with the chicken noodle soup. Pretty tasty. I did add some salt but still a solid soup. For my lunch I got the Ham & Cheese club. Very tasty and fresh. been craving a cold sandwich and this hit the spot. Deb had the Roast beef club. She said it was OK but though the roast beef was not that great. only had half. The fries were really good. Lightly breaded and cooked just right. Still a pretty good spot for some comfort food but I think the last place was a little better.

We were regulars at the TIN CAN in Clearwater. JIm sold the business last year and now opened a new location. Same great food, larger, brighter place. Jim, Pam and Nicole are all still there. This place is awesome and you need to go try it out. Huge portions. The steak and eggs or Pork chop Bone In and eggs are excellent! Skillets are HUGE! Try the Pork medallions. They are the best! Unbelievable Steak and Egg Special! The tuna salad is the best around and the service is great. The menu is huge and there are also many Board Specials posted each day. Don't read the reviews posted from last year. They are for the previous restaurants at this location. The place turned over a number of times. It is not in a downtown area so traffic on Starkey can easily miss this place. It is in a strip mall on the North bound side of Starkey just North of Bardmore and before the Bowling Alley. Once people find out about this place it will be packed every day just like their old place, The Tin Can in Clearwater. This place has NEW ownership and is really fantastic!

My rating is on food only as I used Uber Eats so I cannot rate on facility appearance, cleanliness, or customer service. I was feeling particularly lazy this morning after working on my day off yesterday then waking up late this morning. I didn't feel like cooking or getting out of pjs so I decided to search online for a small business restaurant and came upon this one. I've been going to the Golden Bear for over a decade and I never knew about this place so decided to give it a go. The delivery driver communicated with me that the order was running a little behind which if it was ready that fast I wouldn't of expected good food. My food was delivered within the expected window looking fresh and ready to eat. The prices were pretty average for what we ordered. $18 and change was the total. Our order consisted of the Florentine Benedict with home fries and Shrimp Omelette with home fries and white toast. The Benedict was flawless and still hot on arrival. The home fries were good. I do like mine with a slight crunchy burnt taste to them but they came out the way most (my mom) prefer. Nicely cooked and soft. The omelette was good. To be fair I have a favorite at a restaurant that I've been going to for two decades so I try not to compare. This omelette was filled with large chunks of veggies so for me that gets an extra plus! I definitely love a generous amount of veggies!! Overall both meals were pleasing and Fulfilling. Hit the spot while eating in pjs and being lazy. I will definitely put this place on my small business. home cooking, list for the future and would recommend.

Formerly called the Largo Family Diner, Jimmy's Place offers a very similar menu. The place changed ownership about five months ago, and the new owner has many years of restaurant experience. I tried the biscuits and gravy - based on a recommendation from one of their waitresses a few weeks back - and it was just average. It tasted like the same biscuits and gravy you get at any number of breakfast spots. The cook told me the biscuits had just come out of the oven, so naturally, I'm expecting biscuits made from scratch. Then the server ( the owner ) told me they're Pillsbury biscuits. I can make those at home. So, just 4 stars since the place is clean, the service is good, the owner is friendly, and the place has retained its neighborly atmosphere. So I'm still in search for biscuits and gravy made from scratch.

Stopped at Largo Family Diner for breakfast on New Year's Day. Food was fresh and service was decent. Prices were low compared to the area diners. Nice little local place for breakfast or lunch.

The staff was so welcoming! Very warm hearted! And the food was even better! Everything was so fresh! Such large portions for the price!

The food was very good. The staff was stellar. They where short a sever and it the first k a couple xtra minutes but she let us know and was attentive. I had the eggs Benedict with steak. Next time I'll just get the regular and the steak wasn't that great but let's talk about the homemade hollandaise sauce. It was so amazing. And the chunked potato's wher fresh and wonderful. My son had eggs and pancakes (he is a adult) and it was fresh and perfect.

Food tastes like they don't care. Portion size is terrible. Biscuits and gravy is awful too. Their gravy doesn't taste like gravy.

The crab cake was perfectly seasoned, the English muffin was toasted perfectly and the hollandaise sauce was also perfect. The cheesy grits were good as well! I was pleasantly surprised to say the least. My guest also loved her meal, ( Salmon Benedict) the salmon was perfectly done without being dry, the eggs were a little beyond poached but that's okay. The home fried potatoes were golden brown and an excellent addition to the meal. The ambiance is super chill which is surprising considering how good the food is. To be fair, we were told by the manager to call, give them another chance to make it right etc. However, we didn't call and only gave them a second chance this morning with friends. The reason I didn't call to "make it right" was I want the experience I have at a restaurant to be organic, and not get special or specialized treatment because we made a complaint. Now, on to our adventure today. We (a party of 4) arrived around 1020ish and were seated pretty quickly. The restaurant was pretty full, which was expected as it was a Sunday morning. The lady who seated us (not our waitress...tall with long dark hair) was very friendly, chatty, and funny. We appreciated her service. Our waitress was quite inattentive. We each got a cup of coffee, along with waters, iced tea, etc. Once we got our drinks and the orders were placed, we didn't see the waitress again until after the food was delivered (i.e., a very, very long time). The tall dark-haired lady finally came around and refilled our coffee/tea/water after they had all sat empty for 10+ minutes. The wait for the food was so, so, so long. We waited close to 45+ minutes for our food (nothing special, nothing fancy, straight up off the menu, no changes or alterations). This has not improved since the last time we were there and it is just baffling to me that it takes so long to get food out. The biscuits and gravy were enjoyed enjoyed, however 2 of the 4 biscuits were so hard she could not cut them with the fork, and with very very great difficulty with the knife. The tops of the biscuits were soft and pillowy but the bottom were pucks. This time the eggs seemed to have been cooked properly My husband was not happy with the omelette he got, and they took that off the bill without us asking. She did mention that she could have another order put in for him but (and these are her words), "It would take about 15 hours for you to get your new plate of food." We declined a new order and thanked her for taking it off the check. I got a sandwich and it was fine, nothing special but also not awful. Our other friend got a full breakfast platter which he enjoyed. He said the pancakes were very fluffy. So, in this updated review, I have increased the stars for the food because it wasn't *as* awful as last time, but still problematic. The worst thing, which was an issue with our first visit, is the wait time for food. It is just too. dang. long. I look at a place like Lennys, where we would have been in, seated and eating by the time we got our first coffee refill (also much too long in a breakfast place.....just....have coffee ready??). We did note when we walked in there were only 3 servers for the dining room --- perhaps they were short staffed which is why we only saw our server 4 times --- once for drinks, once to take food orders, and once to check on food, and once to drop the check. It was the lady who seated us who had a great rapport with the table, who was cheerful and friendly who can take credit for the two stars in ambience. In the end, we gave them another shot. No one at the table was impressed. The kitchen is woefully slow. The service was inattentive. we will not be coming back.
