When I'm away from home I always like to try something new, and usually something Hispanic. This time it was Mami Panchi, I had papusas which is basically an el Salvadoran pancake with cheese and meat on the inside. I had the lengua (beef tongue) the chicharron (pork skin) and the chorizo (sausage) all were very good and very filling. I didn't need 3 for sure. The chorizo was by far my favorite and I will def have it again sometime. I walked in and it was pretty slow for a lunch time. I walked right up and ordered at the counter. The girl was very nice and helpful and my food was out in about 10 minutes. I definitely recommend you try this spot out if you are in the Springfield area.

Restaurant building that is directly across the street from Citgo down from Kroger. Same side of the road.

FANTASTIC little faith based Latin restaurant that made me reminisce for my time in Brasil. Yes, I spell the country's name as they do down there as I lived in country for almost a year. We had what I would assume was fresh juice to drink. I had pineapple and my wife had mango. We both enjoyed it! The food was ALL homemade from the tortillas to the refried beans, and yellow rice. My eggs came out perfect! My wife had eggs over easy, with bacon, homemade toasted bread, hash browns, and fresh red tomatoes. She really enjoyed her meal as well. They also had what appeared to be homemade Tres Leches (3 Milks) cake for dessert. It looked delicious but we were stuffed! We love that they had a love for Jesus in there! The service was quick and efficient. Restaurant was clean from out front, the dining area and the restroom. Really food quality for the money! We will definitely recommend to family, friends and will return for a dinner to try that out.

Bomb AF. Don't let exterior looks deceive you. Best Hispanic food I've had in a long term. Scratch food, big portions. That's a SMALL cheese dip!

First of all, let me say, get it to go do not leave the restaurant in the summertime because flies are everywhere. But there's nothing that certain restaurants can do about that I don't blame them. Food quality was great. Service was great and price was a dollar or two more than I expected to pay for each item. I gave this place a B+. It would've gotten an A, but the price was a little up there.

You can see some of the grease on the plate.

Everything we ordered was "swimming" in grease. We ordered chips and salsa to start then flautas and one other "special". They were incredible due to the grease.

Amazing, authentic food and very friendly staff! My family comes her often and has never been disappointed! Great place for a cheap meal! They also have a great breakfast and smoothie selection which is perfect for people on the go! Our personal favorites are the pastor(pork) tacos and jalapeño&cheese pupusas

    Tacos and Pupusa! The best!

Loving the fresh and authentic Mexican food here. Definitely will be making this place a part of my weekly routine.

This is a new business, just opened up this last Friday. Their claim to fame is "Central American & Mexican restaurant" which means, among other things, PAPUSAS! YES! Also they are open for breakfast. The restaurant is small but homey. Tables or booths are available. From the placards on the wall this is a Christian business and it shows in the attitudes of the owners and servers as they accommodate you as their guests. The menu is in Spanish with English descriptions for those that aren't fluent in their spanish yet :-) Prices are very reasonable - example: my wife and I EACH had 2 bean and cheese papusas and 1 jalapeño and cheese papusa with a diet Coke and our tab only came to $17.01 - very reasonable. Any problems? I had to give them a mild suggestion that they serve a knife with their plate of papusas to make it easier to cut them other than with just a fork. They DO take credit cards unlike some mexican/central american restaurants, which is a blessing. I think this place will be very successful from what we see so far. We will return.

Service was great! Food was good also. If you're looking for traditional Mexican and Central American cuisine you won't be disappointed!

Again, I stumbled upon this restaurant by shear luck. It is a trove of good foods…read more The server, her name was Edith, she was most helpful. I was immediately greeted and seated upon my arrival. Actually, I was able to choose which table that I wanted to dine at. I started off with a fresh cup of coffee. It was piping hot, which is the only way that I like it. After placing my order I enjoyed seeing the interactions between the diners and their family. Also, the people that came into the restaurant after I was seated were greeted with such warmth and genuine love from the staff that it took me back in time when life was less complicated. When life was a simple time for everyone. A time when the cellphone wasn't even an idea in the minds of our great innovators. This establishment is not located on the main streets, it's located around the corner of a major road but obscured from view. So surprise number one is that....... They had a revolving door of clientele during my dining experience there. More visitors came and went than I see in main stream restaurant facilities. That in itself should tell you something about not only the food but about the people that work there. After I ordered I must be truthful, the food was not brought out immediately but that was truly a good thing which I will share why that is soon. First, the observation from an old man saw every occupied table with friends and family visiting with each other. Not a cell phone in sight, no disruption from a ringing phone. No inconsiderate cell phone man talking at a noise decibel that makes one feel they are sitting with you in a small enclosure. It was beautiful, nobody hurrying, nobody uptight and most importantly, No one ignored in favor of a cell phone texter or talker. It was undivided attention across the entire spectrum. That's good old day memories for me. When my meal arrived it was well worth the wait and now I will share with you why I don't mind waiting a little longer for a meal while dining in a small restaurant. It's because the order is not pre-made sitting under heat-lamps or inside of stainless steel containers placed over a heating source. Oh no, my breakfast was being made after I placed the order. That my friends adds a whole new dimension to good, quality, well prepared menu items. If I had to rate the food, ambiance and service on a 5 star rating, 5 being the highest praise, then hands down, I give them 10 stars

My partner and I visited on a Friday evening around 7:30pm and it wasn't overly crowded (it was also raining...so take that into account). I ordered a pork/cheese pupusa along with a carne asada baleadas. The Pupusa was served with all the typical staples: slaw in a HUGE container and the hot sauces. They came out hot and fresh with the perfect blend of soft, flavorful inside and crisp exterior. This was my first time trying baleada, a popular El Salvadorian comfort food. It was very satisfying and quite large: a soft flour tortilla with refried beans, eggs, and meat. The star of the show (aside from the Pupusa) was the beef tacos. These were flavor bombs with a nice char on the meat. Will order again. The staff was friendly and their offer their menu in Spanish and English. The kitchen is open, and you can see the staff working hard on your meal after you order. This is now added to my list of staples in Nashville. Looking forward to being a frequent visitor.
