Wanna go to the taco truck? Duh!!!! My husband and I discovered this food truck a little over a year ago and have gone at least once a week since. How did we not know this was here before?!?!?! Actually, it is hard to spot unless you're looking for it. Butted up against a little spanish shop down the road from the police station in Portland, sits taco Heaven. They have 4 large wooden pic nic tables out front so you can enjoy your food there or you can just take it home and devour it. My fav is the Carne Asada Torta. Aka the steak sandwhich. It comes with cheese, avacado, cilantro, lettuce, tomato, sour cream, mayo, refried beans and jalepenos...all on a huge toasty bun. Is your mouth watering yet?? Pros: Food is always great! Fresh and Yummy and good portions for the prices. Cons: LONG wait!!! Plan on waiting a while and call ahead if you are on your lunch break. The wait is well worth the quality of the food though :) When we go, we always grab our food and drop in the little market next door for a banana soda :)

The food overall was a 9/10. Everything tasted so fresh and was well seasoned. They have a lot of call in orders but if you're like me and want to order when you get there then be prepared to wait about 20 minutes for your food. We got surf and turf tacos birria tacos and a special plates. It's been a while since I ate something and exclaimed "WOW that's good". So sad. We won't be coming back. $38 for 1 burrito, 3 tacos and two fountain drinks. They changed the size of their Large fountain to a medium and also changed to a Horchata premix instead of homemade. It was completely horrible and they charged $4.20 for each one. They were also out of Birria and changed the quesoburrito to carne asada but still charged the full price of $15. read more

Wonderful food and prompt service. Call ahead and cut down on your wait time. The tacos are a real steal at a very low cost. The burrito's are big enough for sharing! Looking for something spicy? Ask for the red and green sauces. I have been coming here for years and they never disappoint. Do yourself a favor and order today. You will probably come back tomorrow! read more

Looks like just another taco truck but it's wayyyyy better. Authentic AF and super delicious. My partner got the Baja tacos (skrimps) and I got the Taco Truck Special (two tacos, rice and beans) and our total was less than $10 (excluding tip). Definitely stopping in again on my return trip. read more

Tacos and burritos are on point. I love the tacos al pastor traditional style. The prices are not cheap, the hours are hit and miss, it is a walk up stand with some picnic tables so the seating is limited if at all. read more

Tacos Mi Jalisco is a food truck hidden away next to a Mexi food mart in Portland TN. So you can easily miss this joint if you aren't looking. I was in the mood to have something authentic and different (different from the usual Mexican food that is slathered in cheese and comes with endless bowls of chips and salsa) I decided to have 3 Baja shrimp tacos and boy I'm glad I did. These tacos were awesome. Prices are very reasonable. Folks-you need to seriously eat at this place like your life depends on it. Just make sure you check their hours before you go because they're not always open when they say they-it depends on the weather. They do accept debit/credit and there are 5 benches available if you want to eat there. read more

Heard a lot about this place...did not disappoint, it was delish! Tried the tacos - carne asada, al pastor, and lengua (crazy tender and probably my favourite)...and the green sauce is the best!!! This was the best and most authentic Mexican food I've had since I was a kid. Typical food truck style seating, but it was clean and pleasant. This is my favorite local lunch spot. It's a permanent food truck that has very unique and quality food. I love the Jalisco fries made with chicken steak and chorizo. The toppings such as guacamole, tomatoes, onions, etc are so fresh. They just started serving breakfast and I can't wait to try that. I'd recommend the hibiscus tea too! read more
