Best Empanadas I've Ever Had -- Hands Down If you're reading this and thinking "How good can an empanada really be?" -- you haven't been to Mami's. I've eaten empanadas all over -- in restaurants, food trucks, homemade -- and nothing has ever hit like these did. The crust was perfectly crisp and golden, the filling was rich and flavorful, and everything tasted fresh and made with love. It's the kind of food that stops you mid-bite just to appreciate how damn good it is.

This small business ran by a lovely couple that serves Latin fusion gourmet empanadas, that are the top 5 empanadas I've had. I would say 5-6 inches thick empanadas that's not too heavy or greasy, but filled with flavor and comes with a side of sauce for each flavor. Ambiance depends on the next pop. 1 is enough for a quick bite but you'll be wanting a second one. Order and service were friendly and quick. Check out their insta to find out where they will be next. Highly recommend the cheesesteak empanadas.

The veggie empanadas are super delicious. It's flaky with a nice amount of veggie to crust ratio. The sauce was an added bonus.

If you love burritos, you need to track down The Coop food truck. Hands down my favorite food truck…read morein Virginia Beach! I stopped by during their pop up at Farmhouse Brewery and, once again, they did not disappoint. One thing you need to know: their burritos are massive. We're talking "the size of your head" big, so come hungry or be ready for some epic leftovers. The menu is small and focused (usually around four burrito choices), but every single one is packed with quality ingredients and flavor. The Coop spends most days serving on base, but keep an eye out for their local pop-ups. They're always worth chasing down. This time around, I ordered the Pepper Jack Chicken Burrito which was grilled chicken breast, maple bacon, melty pepper jack cheese, and their signature Coop Sauce, all bundled up in a warm tortilla. Every bite was the perfect balance of hearty, savory, spicy, and just a hint sweet from the bacon. Their Coop sauce is one of a kind. Tangy, and delicious. I'm sure adding an egg would take it to the next level (that's an option on all burritos). My friends had the Breakfast Burrito! This one comes with fluffy scrambled eggs, sharp cheddar cheese, juicy sausage, more of that craveable maple bacon, herby potatoes, and (of course) the signature Coop Sauce. They raved about every bite. I appreciate that The Coop keeps things simple with their streamlined menu and focus on top-notch burritos. Whenever I see them around town, I make it a point to stop ... even if there's a line, it moves fast and is absolutely worth the wait. Whether you're looking for a new lunch favorite or just crave seriously great street food, The Coop is a true gem on the Virginia Beach food truck scene. Can't wait to catch them at their next pop-up!

This was our first visit, but it certainly won't be our last. We were fortunate to grab two seats at the bar--our favorite place to dine--and from the moment we arrived, the service was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. We started with the Oysters Rockefeller, which arrived piping hot. The oysters were large, flavorful, and perfectly prepared--a wonderful way to begin the evening. Our Caesar salads followed shortly thereafter. Crisp romaine, fresh ingredients, and a well-balanced dressing made for another excellent course. For our entrées, we both chose the steak and lobster tail. My wife paired hers with the grilled asparagus, while I opted for the loaded mashed potatoes. Every component of the meal was cooked exactly as ordered, seasoned beautifully, and absolutely delicious. To top off the evening, the staff surprised my wife with a complimentary slice of cake garnished with fresh strawberries and mixed berries to help celebrate her birthday. It was a thoughtful gesture that made an already memorable evening feel even more special. Prime 757 delivered exceptional food, outstanding service, and a warm atmosphere that made my wife's birthday celebration one we'll remember for a long time. We left impressed and are already looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommended.

Has a modern day look and feel. Our server, Taylor, was awesome. She was so kind and thoughtful and made the dining experience very pleasant. Now onto the food. Started with a shrimp cocktail. The shrimp were a perfect size and the presentation was unique. I had the Ribeye, Oscar Style, and added on a Crab Cake and my friend had the Salmon, Oscar Style, and to say we were impressed is an understatement. Everything was perfectly cooked and every bite was delicious. I really wish I had pictures but I will be going back very soon and will take some pictures. I like how in the dining area, they put covers over the overhead lights so it isn't super bright. AND THE DRINKS ARE SOOOOOOO GOOD. First time we went, we overheard the waitress say she didn't want to serve us, she was exhausted. Rightfully so, she was the only server. We held nothing against the server, we were peeved with the owner. The woman with the light hair. Took what felt like forever to even get drinks. They were also out of a lot of food... which isn't necessarily a bad thing... but the items I wanted were no longer available so I just ordered the fried green tomatoes. They were fine, they just needed more sauce and a bit more seasoning in the breading! The poor server was just miserable while we were there, and the owner was just kinda walking around telling everyone what needed to be done, not quite helping, more so micro managing. We ended up tipping the poor girl $35. I hope she got to keep it all. Fast forward to this week. We tried it out again. It was a bit warm. We had been Instructed that they had family visiting and if it got too loud to let her know. The noise wasn't the issue at all. When we sat down we saw that it was 76° inside! We wanted to eat though, so we tried to tough it out. There was only one waiter and then another girl helping him serve the food. Again, and I don't know how it happened again, the boy had said to the lady he didn't want to serve us, there was too much going on. She had told him he was going to serve us, strike 1. We ordered all of our food at once to make the poor kid's life a bit easier. We didn't get drinks until about 20 minutes after sitting down. (The pineapple drink bangs btw). And we were literally sitting there DRIPPING sweat. Even the owner had beads of sweat alllll over her face. We ended up asking for our order to go. And my husband ordered his sandwich without Cole slaw. We said that literally a COUPLE of minutes after we ordered. The food magically appeared, and they had US package it all up. And my husband couldn't even tell the owner that he asked for no Cole slaw, but she kept talking over him. And she ended up being the "polite" kind of rude after we asked for our food to go. We weren't angry, we were just hot. But looking back on the bigger picture, it definitely angry. Especially for the young people they have serving. The poor server was so stressed so again, I do not blame the servers. We tipped that bot $25 and again, I hope he gets it ALL. I 100% put the blame on the owners. This place should be a food truck... not a restaurant. The bad reviews didn't make sense to me.... Until they did.

Saw they were coming back and cancelled our leftover plans to head to Pine and Porch, they were set up and taking orders when we arrived at around 6 and service was super kind. We ordered the Bulgogi Fries, Steamed Shitake Dumplings, a Spam Musubi, and the Maui Wowie Cheeseburger. WE ARE IN LOVE. It was my first spam musubi, a simple but incredible flavor bomb and should have gotten 100 of them, is that legal? The marinated and sauced up ribeye on the bulgogi fries was so friggin flavorful and the fries were oh so crispy. I don't want to talk about the burger, because if I do I might get emotional, GET THE BURGER smashed, burnt ends and still juicy topped with the bacon jam, the cheese, the fried onions no sauce needed it's perfect as is. I'm sorry I didn't take a photo of the burg, I was hungry, you'll have to trust it was very pretty to look at. The dumplings were the perfect side to contrast our fried heaven and the chili crisp was flavorful and electric. Anyways, can't wait to come back for bowls so we can hit up the rest of the menu.

I never heard of them before so I was interested to see what they had to offer. They are Asian-Pacific cuisine. They had burgers that were Asian inspired, pork belly bun, wings, bowls and etc. I ordered pork belly buns, bulgogi chicken bowl and fries. Pork Belly - the buns were soft and pillowy. The belly was seasoned so good, tender and yummy! The best I've had!! Bulgogi Chicken bowl- chicken was well marinated that reminds me of like a Japanese BBQ soy sauce based. It had a nice cooked char to it. Chicken thighs were used making it tender. This was so YUM! Fries- were the crinkly ones salted nicely lol Customer Service- was the best!! Very friendly and kept you informed how much longer your food will be. They give you a buzzer so you don't have to wait around the truck. The owners were awesome. The melt-in-your mouth beef is slow-cooked in succulent red sauce and richly flavored broth. The tortillas taste great in their own right, nicely grilled with some cheese in there somehow. The tacos were served with plenty of amazing consommé for dipping or just pouring over each slurpy bite! Yum! I see they also have shrimp or chicken birria, and birria everything: tortas, quesadillas, burritos, even 12-inch birria pizzas, birria dogs, and birria-smothered fries! I splashed the consommé too much, and that dipping sauce may never come out of my shirt :-), but it also makes a wonderful cologne! They have soft drinks including tamarindo and horchata. They have traditionally-seasoned elote corn (in a cup). And churros if you somehow have room for dessert. The price for the beef tacos is around $18 for my lunch, reasonable for a huge amount of scrumptious food. And Wow! These are some of the best beef birria tacos ever!

I ordered the tacos birria (cheesey tacos birria). One main issue is no prices listed. So it was sticker shock when you order. I feel the food is very high priced for what you get. $19.00 for Tacos birria with rice is high. I could go out and get them at a restaurant and get free chips and salsa for less money and water. The tacos weren't bad the dipping sauce for the birria didn't really have any flavor. The rice was okay very bland in flavor as well. The rice wasn't hot it was lukewarm. The wait time was a little long I waited 20 minutes for my food. There were 5 orders before me. I'm on the fence as to whether I would go back. It depends if they start listing their prices and if they offer a Taco Tuesday Special. I typically go get tacos on Tuesday and find them for $3 or less.
