We're talking "the size of your head" big, so come hungry or be ready for some epic leftovers. The menu is small and focused (usually around four burrito choices), but every single one is packed with quality ingredients and flavor. The Coop spends most days serving on base, but keep an eye out for their local pop-ups. They're always worth chasing down. This time around, I ordered the Pepper Jack Chicken Burrito which was grilled chicken breast, maple bacon, melty pepper jack cheese, and their signature Coop Sauce, all bundled up in a warm tortilla. Every bite was the perfect balance of hearty, savory, spicy, and just a hint sweet from the bacon. Their Coop sauce is one of a kind. Tangy, and delicious. I'm sure adding an egg would take it to the next level (that's an option on all burritos). My friends had the Breakfast Burrito! This one comes with fluffy scrambled eggs, sharp cheddar cheese, juicy sausage, more of that craveable maple bacon, herby potatoes, and (of course) the signature Coop Sauce. They raved about every bite. I appreciate that The Coop keeps things simple with their streamlined menu and focus on top-notch burritos. Whenever I see them around town, I make it a point to stop ... even if there's a line, it moves fast and is absolutely worth the wait. The server had to maneuver to get around them. As far as our meal, the rib eye was great! Beautiful cut of beef, yet the butter was way too much and over powered the taste. Way too greasy. This does have the potential to be an amazing restaurant but the other factors really do come in to play when dining. And adding 20% tip to a 4 top was a bit much. The server would have received a larger tip if it wasn't added. Without telling me. I would like to try it again and hopefully not have the negative factors ruin the experience.

Our Caesar salads followed shortly thereafter. Crisp romaine, fresh ingredients, and a well-balanced dressing made for another excellent course. For our entrées, we both chose the steak and lobster tail. My wife paired hers with the grilled asparagus, while I opted for the loaded mashed potatoes. Every component of the meal was cooked exactly as ordered, seasoned beautifully, and absolutely delicious. To top off the evening, the staff surprised my wife with a complimentary slice of cake garnished with fresh strawberries and mixed berries to help celebrate her birthday. Let's check it out shall we? We were seated a minute after walking in. There were a few people dining inside on this cloudy day. The decor is nice resembling a type of restaurant you may see in New Orleans. Right when I was looking through the menu, I ran into Chef Moe who greeted me with a handshake. It has been years since we last saw each other but the vibes came right back since Sophia and I were long-standing customers. We couldn't talk long since he was busy, but it was great to run into him again smiling from ear to ear seeing me there. Great people indeed. How was the food you might ask? Pretty damn good. We both ordered their fried catfish meals with sides (mine came with fries and sweet cornbread and Sophia's with mashed potatoes and gravy and mac-and-cheese). The fish was seasoned perfectly and was huge. It was big enough to cover a football field (just kidding). The fries, as always, tasted great and the cornbread was delish. The both of us ended up taking home leftovers where the food didn't lose any taste from before. It was so refreshing to stop by after so many years. Fries- were the crinkly ones salted nicely lol Customer Service- was the best!! Very friendly and kept you informed how much longer your food will be. The tacos were served with plenty of amazing consommé for dipping or just pouring over each slurpy bite! Yum! I see they also have shrimp or chicken birria, and birria everything: tortas, quesadillas, burritos, even 12-inch birria pizzas, birria dogs, and birria-smothered fries! I splashed the consommé too much, and that dipping sauce may never come out of my shirt :-), but it also makes a wonderful cologne! They have soft drinks including tamarindo and horchata. They have traditionally-seasoned elote corn (in a cup). And churros if you somehow have room for dessert. I ordered the tacos birria (cheesey tacos birria). One main issue is no prices listed. So it was sticker shock when you order. I feel the food is very high priced for what you get. $19.00 for Tacos birria with rice is high. I could go out and get them at a restaurant and get free chips and salsa for less money and water. The tacos weren't bad the dipping sauce for the birria didn't really have any flavor. The rice was okay very bland in flavor as well. The rice wasn't hot it was lukewarm. The wait time was a little long I waited 20 minutes for my food. There were 5 orders before me. I'm on the fence as to whether I would go back. It depends if they start listing their prices and if they offer a Taco Tuesday Special. I typically go get tacos on Tuesday and find them for $3 or less.
