    Amazing shank special

Always great food. Excellent bar and service. They always offer good specials in addition to the standard menu.

A wonderful place for a date night with my lovely wife! There is a nice little bar area just past the entrance. Multiple dining areas on two floors allow for a more intimate dining experience. Ian was our server and he was fantastic. Knowledgeable about the menu, the specials and the wine list and on top of everything. He made a special evening run smoothly. The food was plentiful and very, very good. We are looking forward to visiting again.

Five stars for sure. The food was amazing! We had a birthday party there last night with 7 of us in attendance. Everyone loved their food and the portions were very generous. Fresh and tasty! And our server Tracy was attentive, fun and a distinct pleasure!

Moving up from a 2 star review to a 4. This time our server was nice, helpful and had a sense of humor. His recommendation to try the chicken french wasn't disappointing. The sauce had a nice lemon flavor to it. The cocktails were tasty. The lentil soup was surprisingly delicious.

Service was very quick. However, my steak was very undercooked and my mashed potatoes were dry. Would not recommend.

We were seated promptly at a nice table and brought water immediately. Our server Ryan came and told us about the specials and took our drink order. She returned several minutes later and took our orders for dinner. I was looking forward to the risotto because they always have a good risotto special, my husband had the limoncello chicken. Drinks came out and then the bread, nice and warm. The salads seemed to take a little longer than usual but the greens were fresh. Unfortunately that's where the good ended. We waited and waited for dinner. Tables around us that arrived after us were being served their meals. We waited patiently, making conversation trying not to feel annoyed. Ryan returned asking if we needed more to drink or more bread, no we still had bread. She apologized for the delay and said she would check with the kitchen. She returned 15 minutes later and said the kitchen was working on our orders. We were at 1 hour at this point, 10 minutes later our food finally arrived, it looked beautiful. The shrimp placed decoratively on top of the risotto, scallops lightly seared. The chicken in a creamy white sauce with linguini and fresh herbs on top. My first bite of the risotto was a disappointment, it was undercooked, more than a little al dente (risotto is not supposed to be any al dente). I tried different places around the dish to see if maybe there was some way to save this dinner, sadly not. We waited well over an hour for our dinners and it was undercooked. The scallops were good as were the shrimp so those were eaten. Our server did not return to ask how our dinners were. The chicken dish was good and my husband enjoyed it, brought half home as it was an ample portion. When Ryan returned she offered boxes, I declined since you cannot fix undercooked risotto. I explained what was wrong and she said she would let the owner know because he was helping in the kitchen. She returned with the wrapped up chicken and offered a free cannoli to compensate for the problem. We accepted, my husband ate it because I don't care for cannolis. We paid our check and left. I was surprised that if the owner was working in the kitchen and alerted to the problem that he didn't come out. I found that a bit strange, if it was my restaurant and someone said the special that was priced at $42 was not cooked properly I would come out to apologize for the problem. He did not, we paid the check and left. We have eaten there twice before and our meals were good. We do not eat out at nice restaurants often but because it was my 60th birthday we decided the occasion was worth the splurge. Sadly I don't think we will return based on the long dinner preparation time and the quality/price of the risotto. We don't mind paying extra for good food but this was disappointing.

Our recent experience has changed that. We informed staff of our dissatisfaction at the time and left contact information so the restaurant could follow-up; then mailed Donna a letter explaining why we were dissatisfied; and then followed that up later with email to her. Crickets. So now it's time to post a review: If your party of three likes waiting for your entrees while larger parties around you arrive after you, eat their meals, and leave, this is the place for you! If you like your waiter telling you the food is "coming soon" 30 minutes after the appetizers, and then tracking him down after 50 minutes to ask where your food is, this is the place for you! If you like being told that your meal would be comped as an apology, but have that courtesy overruled by Matt, the bartender, this is the place for you! If you like the bartender telling you that 50 minutes between appetizer and entree isn't a long time, and that you just don't understand how food flows out of the kitchen, this is the place for you! And after all that, if you like being offered a cannoli by way of apology, this is the place for you! As mentioned, we've eaten there many times, so obviously have never experienced anything like this before. We're understanding about busy nights, which this was, and have no problem with a reasonable wait. We do have a problem when a simple order of two shrimp scampi and an eggplant parm is nowhere to be found while diners around us arrive, eat and leave. And we do have a problem when management condescendingly dismisses our dissatisfaction as being uninformed about how a restaurant functions. After that insulting experience, we said we would wait no longer, did not want the meal, and would find our dinner elsewhere. Miraculously, the food came out as we gathered our things to leave, over an hour after the appetizers had arrived. Diners around us undoubtedly found the situation uncomfortable, so as a courtesy to them, after briefly reiterating that we no longer wanted the meal, we decided to accept the order as take-out. Incidentally, the eggplant was good; the shrimp scampi and pasta was poorly prepared, bland and unsalted. We left the cannoli.

Service was outstanding--our waiter let us set the pace, and even though they closed at 9, we were never rushed and stayed until nearly 10. We brought our own wine ($15 corkage fee), but their wine menu is also excellent and reasonably priced--we grabbed a second bottle of Cab Sauv for $45. The food was fantastic! We started with calamari, a wedge salad, and greens & beans with sausage--flavorful, garlicky, and a generous portion. For mains, we had Chicken Asiago, Chicken Parm, Chicken Marsala, and the special Lobster Fra Diavolo (a steal at $38 for two 4 oz lobster tails). Everything was delicious! Reasonably priced, amazing service, and incredible food--we'll definitely be back! Perlo's is a gem, highly recommend!

I don't always like eggplant parm - but theirs is thin and crispy and very flavorful. Even my husband LOVED it - and he used to say he doesn't eat eggplant. Whenever I am at a place that has meatballs I always order one for the table to share - and am admittedly hard to impress. Rosey's meatballs are INCREDIBLE. When I was leaving I was telling someone (maybe the owner) that the meatball was wonderful and she told me they are homemade. That was one hundred percent how they tasted and honestly, had they not been already closed when we were leaving, I would have ordered some to take home. If you haven't been and you love a good Parmesan or meatball dish - GO! Also - our server, Mia, was incredibly kind and did a fabulous job of making us feel welcome and helping us order.
