C-food medley was sub par. Overcooked scallops. Very few mussels (3) and the absolute smallest clams I've ever seen. A mess in a bowl would describe it. Very poor slow service to boot! Two stars because the cocktail was decent. UPDATE- see I. The news that they are transitioning to a party house model. That "explains" our experience. Would have loved a heads up. Ironically it was our first ever visit. Makes me leery of the other restaurants under the ownership group. If you aren't putting out your best effort you shouldn't be open. read more

Came in with hope to get a table without reservations on a Friday night. There were 2 in our party and we got seated immediately. Our server greeted us quickly, brought us waters and bread and told us the specials less than 2 min after being seated! Looking around at the food on others tables we saw huge portions and everyone seened happy. The inside is casual with low lighting and Italian music playing to add to the ambiance. We were excited to try the nightly special which was a bacon wrapped chicken bread and stuffed with seafood and topped with the Italian flag of sauces, Alfredo, pesto and marinara. We also got the eggplant which was a huge portion. We split a meatball. It was huge with lots of sauce! Yum! We can't wait to go back. We wish we saved room for dessert! read more

Ordered eggplant and alredo penne along with mediterranean salad. First salad excellent. Both pasta's had very little sauce on them. The eggplant was rediculous! What happened guys you never served a meal lije this snd been going there for almost 20 years. Lets face it the STAR of any Italian restaurant needs to be the sauce and the pasta. With this said, the pasta was just okay and the sauce was very sparing on our visit this evening. After reading the reviews here, I really wanted this visit to be memorable. The starters exceeded expectations. The soup and salad were excellent. The appetizer was good. Then came out main course which was a combo of both chicken and veal parmesan. I did not like the coating on the meats. Perhaps a layer of ricotta cheese? After removing the breading, I found both meats incredibly dry and did not eat much of it. I dug into the pasta but there was not adequate sauce. Good thing my wife and I shared the entree. Perhaps we ordered the wrong pasta dish but darn it, like I mentioned above, I really wanted to love this place... Good price paid for a shared dinner. Good service provided by Mike. Friday night was Otto Tomotto's Good Italian, the second time that we've been here. And again it didn't disappoint. We came in without reservations but it was early like 4:30ish. We were the only people in the restaurant which was nice. We had a table under the pergola inside against the back wall. The waitress' name is Penny and she waited on us on our previous visit. She's very nice and personable and it's a pleasant experience to have a conversation with her. She came back over shortly after we were seated with our waters & drinks and bread. We decided on our appetizer- Artichokes French which is always very good and then she took our dinner orders, I got the Risotto with peas, mushrooms and broccoli which came out piping hot and it was fantastic. My significant other got the Cajun seafood and pasta and he said his was good too. The portion sizes are large and I knew I wouldn't eat all of mine so we both got ours to go. But Otto Tomotto's does not have any chocolate dessert so we didn't get anything else. But all in all it was a pleasant evening. read more

We were in Upstate NY for a funeral about a month ago. Family wanted Italian food where there is a private room, and OT did. First off, I would like to commend our server as he provided great service, he was funny and checked in on us accordingly. Unfortunately, I can't say the same about their food. I opted for a Seafood Tomotto, which is one of the special entrees. It had scallops and shrimp sautéed in garlic, shallots and basil in a spicy tomotto sauce over fettuccine. However, I made a mistake of ordering my dish "Mama style" which is made with less fat, less sodium, less calories and more veggies. Sad to say, the sauce was watered-down and lacked flavor. Very pleased with this cute Italian spot! We were seated outdoors right away, and people here were very friendly. The chicken Parmesan was perfection - great flavors, cooked wonderfully and breaded to crispiness. The lasagna was surprisingly very light and I didn't feel stuffed after finishing it. It was probably the best lasagna I've had in a long time. Portions here are generous and we were able to box up at least another meal. I must say, this place was much better than some of the $$$ Italian restaurants I've had in LA. I enjoyed the comfort and quaintness of this restaurant; just very down to earth and delicious food. They have the 9 entrees for $9 and served in 9 minutes. I had the chicken French and my friend had the eggplant parm off the lunch menu. The eggplant was cooked perfectly, thin sliced and crisp. The chicken French was tender and the sauce was good. Plenty of sauce to dip the warm fresh bread in. And oh the garlic butter is amazing. I can make a meal out of the bread and butter alone. My other friend had steak and mashed potatoes. Steak was cooked exactly medium rare. Seasoning was tasty. We also tried the gnocchi which was amazing too. Service was good and very friendly. We made it back!! We even had Alex as our server!! He remembered us from all time ago. We did not have him on our last visit. Food was OK that time but our service was not the best. So sad we had not returned. This visit has renewed our faith! Alex as they best server there. His smile and all-round persona will keep you coming back. Afficant good natured and fast. I'm really surprised there are so many four and five stars. While service was excellent and parking was easy, close and plenty of spots- the food was just not very impressive. Walking into the restaurant the deco is somewhat of an Italian feel but could use some updating. Let's get to the food- while they have a big meatball option where it didn't lack in size, it did in flavor, and the red sauce seemed more like a jar sauce then homemade. Solid Italian food at a locally owned restaurant near Victor, NY. I went here on a week night with a group of six around the holidays, so we needed a reservation. Service was prompt and friendly. They had a pretty good crowd in there although they do have tables spaced further apart than usual due to Covid. The portions are enormous and all the main dishes come in around $20, so very reasonable for the amount of food. Every person in our group had substantial leftovers (enough for another small meal). My wife and I started off with house salads and the fried Brussels sprouts appetizer. The salads were pretty big, which we appreciated (Italian places often skimp on the house salads). The sprouts were amazing! They were deep fried with bacon bits, so made for a heavy but absolutely delicious starter. My wife got the eggplant parmesan, which was also very crisply fried and served over a large bed of pasta (all their pasta dishes come with lots of noodles!). The eggplant wasn't the most flavorful but we liked it. My sister in-law got the shrimp/bacon risotto. Like the Brussels sprouts it was just infused with delicious bacon flavor. Overall an excellent dish (though a bit salty). I got chicken pignoli, which was just okay. It came with a red sauce and tons of pasta, but fairly plain chicken and not too much of the garnishes (basil, pine nuts). Overall this place is very nice and I'll go back next time I'm in town to visit family! read more

Went to Otto Tomotto's on 1-4-2025 for dinner. Wife ordered a cheese pizza which was decent. I had the Linguini with Red Clam Sauce. When the plate arrived, it looked like a bowl of Red Clam Sauce with a few noodles tossed in there. It was appalling. I travel extensively (200+ days per year), world-wide and have had a few meals that were pretty poor. This was a world-class disaster. I have NEVER seen a plate prepared and offered that was this awful. Otto's used to be a good spot. Never going back. read more

Went on a Sunday for an early dunch. Looking forward to a quiet plate of lasagna. When I arrived I noticed a line outside but when I approached it seemed the restaurant was closed for a private party. Really- I thought there was a room for parties without closing. Bad business decision! read more

The salads had crisp fresh lettuce no bad leaves, the poppyseed dressing was so good! The house dressing was a bit too sweet for me a honey consistency. They will charge you .50 if you ask for two dressings on the side. I did ask for oil and vinegar with the bread and when I mentioned it to the waiter he said he got it, but it never came. We ate the bread and then a girl brought the oil and vinegar, a bit too late, but asked if we wanted more bread, we preferred not to fill up on two loaves I wanted to enjoy my meal. The haddock was over zucchini noodles done to perfection. The fish was moist and flaked perfectly with a tomato creation that was mouth watering. The steak done to order with thick creamy mashed potatoes and the mushrooms are cooked in red wine what a compliment to the beef! Really love this place and recommend. There is also an outdoor area. Stumbled upon this place and I'm glad we did! Everything was very good- the staff was welcoming and friendly, the service was excellent, and the food was delicious. I loved their warm bread served with a garlic butter- crispy on the outside, soft on the inside! The bruschetta appetizer was great- fresh ingredients seasoned perfectly! The Caesar salad was the only dish that was a bit subpar- dressing was a bit too tangy for me, and the dish could have used a bit more Parmesan. I'd have loved it if there were anchovies on it too. The cauliflower appetizer is big enough to be a meal for a vegetarian. Very tasty and loved the slight crunchiness that the tempura batter gives the dish. And the aioli complemented the flavors perfectly! The chicken Parmesan was two large, tender, and juicy fillets smothered in tomato sauce and mozzarella/ricotta. Excellent! And the grilled pizza was perfect in its simplicity- dough/crust, sauce, and cheeses. Very nice! All in all, a wonderful meal that will fill you up and leave you smiling! read more

Fantastic all the way around! Service was fast and attentive. Food was so flavorful, fresh and light. We got the bruschetta to start: 10/10. I got the chicken parm: 10/10. My girlfriend got the tortellini Pomodoro: 8.5. And lastly we had to get the tubolare with chocolate and lemon butter creams: 10/10. Prices may seem high on the menu but rest assured the portions are massive and the quality is top notch. Also the interior of the building is nothing like the exterior. I came here not really wanting Italian as it's never something I crave or desire. It was recommended by a friend and the person I was with wanted to go though. So I went and was very happy I did. The ambiance is very cute and homey. The service is outstanding! Was immediately greeted by one of the many high schooler water boys (typical home italics. Restaurant) then our server was not too far behind. Her name was Erica and she was awesome - quick - friendly -accommodating. We got the homemade bread everyone is served which is great - the butter a little to garlic for my liking. We ordered two appetizers the bruschetta was was delicious and the calamari average. The menu was huge but yelp help pick out what to get. I got the cavallei and date got the shrimp and diablo. Both really good dishes. They were extremely hot to eat at first though which we were warned so that was a little annoying had to wait 10 min with our food in front of us. For dessert we got the tubular which I was told was truly amazing as well - I didn't try it. The portions were HUGE - 3 meals in one dish I'd say and prices reasonable especially for the size. We stopped after catching the first matinee at Regal Eastview. I must say that our times to eat here are way too far between visits. We have always had over the top meals & great service whenever we stop. Today did not disappoint. We love the fact that this terrific restaurant offers several days where they open at noon. I think we stopped a little after 2 on a Sunday. Business was brisk with one server doing a great job. A short wait but knowing how great the food was going to be, we were in no hurry. We had crispy cauliflower as an appetizer- fabulous! I had C-food medley & asked to swap out pasta for zucchini noodles- again fabulous. Hank had tortellini pomodoro- he said it was so good he was having a hard time not eating it all. Dessert - all 3 offerings to go. We already knew how great they are! Plenty of leftovers for a couple more meals and all are beyond reasonably priced. You can not beat that combination with the great quality of food. We stopped for lunch on a Saturday. Opens at noon, we got there at 1. There was no one in the main restaurant however it sounded like there was a party going on in a back room. When we were seated the amount of time it took a waitress to appear was WAY too long, we almost left. Given that we quickly ordered quickly with hopes of food. We ordered a pizza to split and a side salad for me. The food came out quickly. The house dressing is an upgrade but I figured I'd try it. It was overwhelmingly sweet and sticky, like someone poured honey on lettuce. Our pizza came out in a timely manner, of which we had to ask for plates. It was yummy! The sauce on it is a sweeter version and was very good. Had our waitress come back I would have liked a side of the sauce to dip the crust in, but by the time she came back we were almost finished. So to wrap it up the food was good but I wouldn't return due to lack of service. It was drowning big time in a pool of sauce. I thought maybe that was a good thing, but it was way too much and basically inedible. With French sauce, less is more. My friend got linguini with clam sauce. You'd think for $17 they'd put some actual clams in the shell, but nothing. She said the sauce was majorly lacking in flavor. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is due to a not so great first experience a couple years ago (we didn't even get seated after waiting an hour+, but the hostess kept telling us "only 15 more minutes..."). This past weekend, I was finally ready to try this place again. After years of hearing how great the food is, we were not disappointed. I made a reservation for an early afternoon. We were 4 adults and a baby. We ordered the Lasagna, Chicken Pomodoro, Bolognese, and Chicken Parm. We all shared bites of each other's food. All were really good! The Bolognese and Lasagna sauces had the perfect flavoring. The Chicken Parm was crispy on the outside and juicy inside. The creamy vodka sauce on the Pomodoro is a must try. Even though we all ordered pasta dishes, we saved room (nice portions so we took a lot home), and ordered dessert. The Tubolare is homemade with their bread, fried,and then filled with different butter creams- I mean what!? It was so good! The bread is a little hard to cut without the filling oozing out, but you can scoop that up with a spoon and put it on top. Attached is a picture of the m&m and chocolate versions. The m&m was the special of the day. The four of us finished that whole thing. Stuffed, but so worth it! We'll be back for more now that I've figured out the best time to go for our family. read more
