I enjoy coming to Man Cave Salon where as soon as you walk in the door everyone greets you and immediately get offer something to drink. Now when I go here, Valencia is my go to person as she takes her time, is extremely detailed and makes sure I'm happy with my haircut before I take off. Added bonus, the humming she does to the music playing is a plus, just makes the appointment relaxing and not feel like a business transaction but rather an enjoyable and relaxing time. The difference between just a haircut and Man Cave Salon experience is so far apart it's not even comparable. Haircut, detailed beard trim, ear and nose wax and of course hot face towel and shampoo with massage. People are nice, however skill level below great clips, asked for a taper fringe with photo, got a skin fade that went to high I had a cyber punk Mohawk, went home and buzzed the thing, never again. Update to the previous review. After having a great experience during several visits, my stylist is no longer here. Things like that happen. However nobody from the salon called me to tell me that.. I showed up to my appointment, and after I was seated down by someone I never saw before, I realized my stylist is gone. No explanations or information was offered. After I asked what happened to my stylist I was told she is no longer there. I asked why I wasn't told as my appointment was with her, I was told it's all the same. Well - I don't think so. I have been frequenting Man Cave Salon for about a year now. It is located on St. Rose Pkwy in a fast growing area. The salon itself is always kept very clean and has roughly 10 chairs for cuts. What originally got me into the door was their Free beer promotion. I fully take advantage of it everytime as who doesn't want a nice IPA while getting a hair cut? The pricing is a little on the hire end, especially for a beard trim, but I have always had a good cut. Their reservation system is nice as you go onto their website and schedule your appointment in advance. If you find a specific stylist you like, it has their calendars and time slots available for those dates. If you are looking for a cool new place to get a haircut, give it a try. From being overwhelmed, trying to find someone in the city to cut hair at a fair price to finding the website of the Man Cave being very helpful with pricing services, booking appointments, and simple design. After booking my appointment, I got a quick response via text and email and the next day I was greeted at the front door with smiles, great attitudes and environment that really felt genuine After a quick conversation with Andie discussing what I wanted with my hair, she quickly got to work and did an amazing job. Well also taking the time to provide great conversation a relax environment, and step-by-step to make sure everything was to my liking. The drink service is such a wonderful idea, but it was a little too early for me to have a beer so we were offered coffee and water and the owner provide provide a great conversation with us about the business business. I made us feel very very welcome. I moved here to L.V. a couple of years ago and found a place I liked but they lost my favorite stylist and then closed all together. so I'm now on a hunt for a new place ( although I'm not exactly a person they can make their living off of) I went here on a whim, & good reviews. I did not partake of the "adult beverage" as I don't drink if I'm driving but I had a marvelous stylist and each cut gets a free wash which was really nice. I wasn't going to write this review despite no longer wishing to be a client but if you read on you will know why. First they recently increased their price to the point they're no longer competitive with other similar services They also continuously reduced the size of their drinks which is one of the selling points they advertise under. Yesterday I received an email indicating that they let a large number of people go some they hinted were terminated for cause. I unsubscribed and I wrote back asking him to stop emailing me. Instead they thought it was to send another email this time accusing former employees of stealing clients from other employees. Not only was this email unwelcome it was unprofessional. I cannot recommend this service or this establishment. I'm only giving it a two stars because I used to get my haircut here and I enjoyed the results at the time. read more
