Being new to Henderson/Las Vegas, I needed to find a stylist to cut my hair. Upon seeing The Man Cave in my neighborhood, I decided to give it a try. I'm so glad I did. I went to the website and just selected a random stylist, which happened to be Valencia. Valencia greeted me and sat me down and asked if I would like a beer. I don't drink and had brought a smoothie so I told her I was good. Over the next 45 minutes, Valencia carefully listened to what I wanted, then skillfully made it happen, checking to make sure I was thumbs up in length and style. A solid first cut and a fair price. I knew I would be back again. When it was time again for another cut, I made the appointment easily online and showed up. Valencia again sat me down and the second cut was even better, as she got more familiar and comfortable with me. This time she told me about available services for waxing ears, nose, and eyebrows. I had never had that before so I said sure. Another very good decision. All I can say is if you haven't ever tried it, do yourself a favor and try it. The feeling of being that well groomed was amazing. I knew I would be back again. Today was my third appointment, and the best one yet. This time, Valencia told me about their facial services. I said let's do it. Another excellent decision. I told Valencia I now understand why women love spa days, as my appointments feel like a mini spa visit. My hair is high and tight, my nose and ears are super clean, and my face and neck are well moisturized. I feel like the best version of myself now, and I intend to keep coming back. My review is Two Thumbs up, Five Stars, Top Shelf, however you want to say it. These ladies are professional and talented and dedicated to their clients. A super pleasant environment. So whether you want just a cut or something more, as I added, this is the place to go. The owner even stopped by the chair to chat and told me about getting the business opened, all the challenges. I would buy my husband a gift certificate here every year for his birthday/Christmas gifts and he always liked his services until earlier this year when their emails got weird. He kept getting more and more emails airing out the Man Cave's dirty laundry. He got so annoyed that he unsubscribed. And then he showed me the emails when he asked me not to buy any more services for him there. They were so unacceptable for customers to be involved with. Whatever problems were going on with staff vs owners could have been glossed over in the emails. It was a poor choice and left a sour taste in my mouth for this business. We wont be coming back. EDIT POST OWNER COMMENT: Again you still are sharing way too much information with customers! I just shared how its unprofessional and we didn't need to know all the gossip and rumors and yet you still couldn't help yourself, be humble and just take the time to address how to do better. First off, the interior is great and well designed. The staff was nice and courteous, and the free drink was awesome. Also, I've been going to Great Clips for 17 years, and this was my first time in a salon. I decided to grow my hair out this year and was unsure how to go about it. The different staff at Great Clips didn't really have any good advice or guidance on hairstyle. I got Andie, and she was great. I came in unsure, but Andie gave excellent guidance on the different fades and styling. I didn't feel rushed, which was also great. I'm a Marine veteran and a native of Henderson. I've been to so many barbers and salons in the valley and could never find one that could do what I was looking for until I came to the man cave salon. Just moved and was extremely concerned about finding a good place. Looking at the reviews I wanted to try a place that seemed down to earth and had a personal touch. Shawna was unbelievable and not only took the time to ask exactly how I wanted my hair done, not rushing me at all, as I tried to explain how I've always had it cut. Then she even took time to have such a wonderful conversation and give me amazing advice on being a local. WOW!! I definitely got my moneys worth! Emmy is awesome! I have long hair to my waist and couldn't seem to find anyone who likes to cut long hair. She kept the length, textured areas and did an amazing job!! I think she is confident and talented which shows her passion and dedication to her profession. My new spot to go to! I've gone here 6 times already and every time I pick someone new. They have never failed me. It's always a super clean and perfect fade. You get to choose a beer from a variety of choices. The staff is super friendly, the atmosphere is great with sports and music. They give you a hot towel while they wash your hair, and a cold beer to sip on while you get your haircut. I always come out feeling fresh and clean! Great service for brows. I've been coming here for about a year just for that. I haven't tried their hair services yet, but I've heard this is a go-to spot for men with longer hair like mine (though I see people with shorter cuts coming in too). Valencia is great at understanding what you want, even if you're not the best at explaining it--she'll even help you figure out how to describe it better. Ends up great every time. I was expecting a man cave full of men, so when I walked in and it was 90% women I was reluctant to continue the visit considering I've had bad experiences with women doing my hair.
