If I could give 0 stars I would. I came in yesterday for a haircut and I had told the stylist that I wanted long layers and face framing layers. I left this salon without either of those. She hacked away at my hair. There should be no reason I have layers by the crown of my head that are 3 inches long when I asked for LONG layers. She mentioned I had such strong healthy hair but now my hair is thinned out with choppy layers I didn't ask for, oh and bangs that are not even and don't even frame my face. I am beyond pissed and will never go back to this salon. read more

In town visiting family and my daughter needed a haircut. My daughter has long, straight hair and I wanted 1.5-2 inches off. Simple trim. I even showed the "stylist" when she asked how short. She appeared to understand so I went to have a seat. The stylist's child was in a stroller, parked next to the chair, and I noticed he got fussy several times so she tended to him in the middle of my daughter's haircut. No big deal if she actually did her job well. She chopped way too much. When my daughter walked up to me the stylist immediately said, "I cut it shorter than you said." And... she also cut it VERY crooked! She took off at least 4 inches. $25 for the most simple haircut PLUS $1 to use a credit card. This is the price for a little girl's haircut. Been taking my daughter to Jackie for awhile now & each time it's been awesome! We leave happy, pleased & very satisfied. She's patient & actually listens to what you want. She has a great eye to detail & has a gentle hand... meaning she won't be pulling & yanking at your hair. My mom was the only person to ever touch our hair but since she moved to Texas a couple of years ago I was hesitant & honestly scared to trust anybody with mine & my daughter's hair. It's really sad when people decide to "rate" companies poorly when it's not the company's fault, but instead, is the customer's fault. Unfortunately, some people are just negative people and just want to complain without taking ownership of their own actions. I have had a few services at this salon now. I came in with damaged hair. In no way will I complain that my damaged hair is the fault of the stylist. Stylists are NOT magicians! They WANT to help repair and fix the damage but this takes time and patience. This repair cannot be expected in one visit, especially when it comes to hair color services! The particular stylist I am referencing told me beforehand every single thing I should expect if she performed the service I was requesting. I repeat... I was requesting! She was knowledgable and honest with my request and it was MY choice to follow through with the service to begin the process of changing my hair again. I have learned a few things... 1. Box dye is TERRIBLE for your hair 2. If coming in for a service to go from dark to light - be prepared for a transition period. This will NOT be done with the desired outcome in one session. Nor will this contribute to making your hair healthier! Putting dye on on top of dye, then bleach to get it out, will NOT be good for your hair. Ever. 3. Be HONEST with your stylist - from the products that you use down to telling them how happy you are with their service. Don't tell them one thing but mean another. 4. Last but definitely NOT least - It is just wrong to praise the stylist for their amazing job and then turn around and poorly rate them on Yelp. Again, my hair stylist truly was and is amazing! I refuse to blame my previous damage on this person who genuinely has worked her heart and soul into trying to get me back on the right track. This was my second visit. The first visit went okay and it wasn't bad and wasn't great either. Then again, I wasn't looking for a particular hair cut. I was just like for a desert regular cut. This time it was really bad. The barber was a young girl and I am sure she never went to a barber school nor had any training. The way she handled my head and hair was bizarre. I went for a trim around my ears and to cut off the curls at the back of my neck. Stylist A and I discussed the style of cut I wanted. And we got along fine. Stylist B stepping in and without consulting with me nor styles A, cut my hair so up and tied a Marine would be proud which is one inch shorter than I wanted. Run Run Run Away! Beautician did not have a license displayed, this is the worst experience ever. I went in for highlights and lady assured me she knew how, she did not ! Even after calling in the manager, I came out with blondish hair , not highlights.The entire right side was not highlighted, then she proceeded to dry and style the left side and back of my hair, she then bleached the left side of my hair and then she tried to wash out only the top portion of the left side of my hair with a spray bottle, then she put toner on it and again started to wash it out with a spray bottle , because re- doing it would be too much work. The manager finally stepped in and tried to repair the damage, she did the best she could , she did wash my hair (all of it) and styled it. The woman that was my stylist was very pushy and not customer service oriented. This is the first time in 40 years that I did not give a tip. read more

Worst hair cut!! I scheduled an appointment on 2/9 for my daughter and myself on a whim based on the reviews. They were happy to have us come in right away. When we arrived there the shop was empty and only two employees working. Well I paid 70 dollars for both of our haircuts and we both ended up with an Edward scissors hand hair cut. I used to see a man at Ulta who cut my hair perfectly but then he left. So, for the past year I've been wandering around trying to find someone to cut my hair how I ask. My usual is face framing and layers. As simple as it sounds, I'd often be very disappointed in what resulted and mind you, I'm going around to higher end salons assuming I'd have better luck. After coming on Yelp to find a place nearby, sort of giving up on the idea I'd get what I want, u decided to try Trimmers. It's maybe 2 minutes from my house and has only been there for a month. I did not have to wait and was immediately greeted by a staff member. I was seated with Janet who was quick to get to work and I found that I barely had to explain what I wanted. This made me unsure, but I'm often more comfortable if I do not need to say much. It tells me that the hairdresser knows what they are doing. I was absolutely not disappointed. Had a bob done about 6 weeks ago and it was PERFECT. Called to set appointment for a trim and turns out the lady who did my hair was no longer there. I asked if there was anyone there who was good with bobs and the lady on the phone assured me that there was. Set an appointment for 6:15. Got to my appointment and wasn't sat until at least 6:30, which I was ok at the time because she said that the other girl who was supposed to be with her was sick and didn't show up. I tell her I was a trim and a few layers in the back (even referenced a picture). She cuts choppy short layers into the back of my hair which gave me a horrible choppy stack and is NOT what I asked for. Also, one side is about 1 cm shorter than the other and she admittedly said "oh you know what I accidentally cut this side shorter, 3 weeks just give it 3 weeks and it'll be fine". You're joking right? THEN she precedes to try and style it with a blow dryer blaming the unevenness on the way my hair grew in one section and the reality is she just can't do bobs. I had a beautiful A line and now I have this choppy dog eared looking cut that looks like Edward scissor hands cut the back of it. So upset. Then she tells me it's 20 dollars and proceeds to apologize for it being shorter on one side. My previous bob cut at that same salon 6 weeks prior was 13 dollars. Now I have to have someone else fix this mess! Janet CANNOT cut a bob, do not trust her when she tells you she can! read more
