My brother held his farewell wedding brunch here. We had a taco truck. Drinks were great. Made some awesome memories here. Thank you! #SomethingBlantonSomethingBlue

Soft opening today 11/26/21! It's a small but charming new brewery by The Pearl!

Gene Simmons of Kiss said of his father who was a salesman at the end of the day it is ultimately you who sells something. I wish businesses were more attuned to this. At the end of the day it is a place's owners and staff that makes us go back or keeps us away. I came to "Man Overboard Brewing Co." for a soft opening. It is nearby an underpass that opens up with more parking. When I arrived staff were already outside greeting you. Although this doesn't cost a business a penny it is priceless. The brewery is really, really small but big on charm. Inside there are picnic style benches for seating. There is finite seating for large and small groups. Once inside the owner greeted me and simply said, "Welcome, thank you for coming here!" As I have said before when a place is not bumping this is the most optimal time to make a connection to a patron. The tapmasters, who happened to be owners were absolutely friendly which transferred to all the their products. Basically you go to the counter and order. They serve beer, wine, seltzers and ciders. It is a very limited taplist right now but the owner assured me they are adding more items next week. Soft openings are meant as an opportunity for a business to see what needs to tweaked. Lucky for me the place was functioning like a well-oiled machine. My only critique from me is for them to consider adding outdoor seating. Other than that I like that it is small but intimate. My understanding is that they are former veterans who decided to open a brewery. I can sense those experiences have lead them to this moment. They offered a flight so I went with that. I had their blonde, their coffee porter, tangerine wit and ipa. They all had really good flavors. I will say the ipa seemed more boozier than its 6.5% abv. As I was leaving I definitely felt like a man in fact overboard. To me as I travel from both regional and local breweries it's not the beers that sell a place but rather the people. Product can and should develop over time but the staff is really who sells any business. Consistency in beers is one thing but consistency in service supersedes even that. At that capacity Man Overboard Brewing Co. will be here for awhile. The place and ambiance are charming. The beers are solid but the service is stellar. If you happen to be in this area check it out. ps. If your GPS is not working don't worry! Just look for the two dudes with the epic viking beards and you're good!

Came here on Friday after work with a buddy after seeing they had just opened the previous week. Went ahead and tried the flight, minus the coffee porter. I really liked the tangerine wheat and the IPA. Overall a great set of people running this place. Friendly and attentive! The interior is large with a few picnic tables for large groups and four person tables. There's plenty of parking under the bridge. I've heard there's a food truck during the busier times. There's also plans to expand in the future to have more outdoor seating as currently there's a few spots to sit outside. Come check it out, definitely wortha try!

We were driving home and my boyfriend said, " wait stop! There's a brewery!" I thought he was delusional and lying lol but yes there is a brewery here now. Today is 12/15/21 & the guy behind the counter said that they have been open for about 2 weeks. They of course have beers but also make their own seltzer in house. I got the blood orange one and it has a very light taste to it. My boyfriend got the 1st beer on the menu list and says it did not disappoint. Both were very easy to drink.

I love the simplicity of this brewery. A father son owned business, the atmosphere was very chill and unpretentious, not to mention the beer was delicious. They welcome different food trucks daily so unless you check out their Facebook, you never know what they're serving up that day. Somewhat hidden So If you're not looking for it you will miss it but put it on your list because it's definitely worth checking out.

Amazing brews and helpful kind staff. Y'all are doing great things over here, I'm glad I found you. CHEERS!!!

Such a fun spot, plenty of seating, and a wide variety of options for all!! Of course come for the beers, they are all hits, but a good spot to bring others who may not be beer lovers as they have their own flavored seltzers and wine as well. Must visit brewery!!!

That's odd because it is open-seating without a hostess stand. I'm glad we just rolled with it. Also, seating is quite limited, even with the patio. We walked around twice before another couple got up, and we grabbed their seats. Now, with no hostess, this is a recipe for exactly what happened to us. No one came by the table for well over ten minutes (possibly fifteen). Once they did, we had very attentive service. None of that changes the fact that the guy who told us to "sit anywhere" walked past us four times without acknowledging our presence. The food is only average. The schnitzel appetizer was unseasoned and tough. The fried bologna sandwich for my wife was extremely good. She was not as fond of the potato salad. It did not really look like it was picking a side - neither German-style nor southern. She said it had some characteristics of German-style, but there was a definite mayo-based dressing. As for my pastrami sandwich...the pastrami was quite good. Honestly, I do not understand why it is so hard to find good pastrami in a state like Texas (you know, with such an historical mix of cultures that virtually spread it across the globe). This pastrami came in at a solid B. The remainder of the sandwich was completely awful. Tough bread, minimal cheese. I don't eat rotted cabbage (sauerkraut) or thousand island, so I put mayo on the sandwich. As a side note, whoever writes the menu should know that a sandwich with those four components is called a "Reuben," rather than "pastrami sandwich." Anyway, good beer, as should be the case with any brew-pub kind of place. The location is on a narrow, residential street. There is really only street parking, so you REALLY have to want to come here to deal with that level of nonsense. It was an interesting visit, but definitely not worth a return. Ever.

It has a large outdoor area with picnic tables, fans and water misters. There was one family that was letting their kids run like crazy so we sat inside. We were on the fence overall but then my husband tasted his beer- 5/5. And the food came out: pizza 5/5 (probably the best pizza I've had in SA) and smoked turkey sandwich (whoa! Smokey but not over smoked where you are burping the taste hours later) with fries 5/5 (crisp, seasoned perfectly). We will definitely be back and so should you. You should try it now.

I think the reason I didnt "love" the pizza is because its so different with the sourdough base and not what i am used to. I would like to return and try a sandwich or something else on the menu. Service was fast and friendly, and the place was clean and welcoming. My main reason for trying out wild barley was because they have sour beers, it wasnt the best sour beer i have ever had, but i have noticed in Texas the sour beers have a strange taste to them that i cant quite put my finger on. Overall though it was refreshing and cold. my husband really enjoyed the cider. We will be back and i hope after trying something different on the menu to change my review to 5 stars,
