After I noticed what had happened I told the therapists that I did not want a male therapist and was not comfortable with him present so they switched and he continued to massage my boyfriend instead, but felt very uncomfortable for the rest of the massage after that experience. Why wasn't I asked if I was comfortable with that beforehand, and even so why did he decide to service me instead of my boyfriend? I paid the meter, walked in, and was greeted by a warm, friendly woman. I told her I wanted a body scrub and massage, and we decided on the 1-hour service. Once we got into the room, she handed me a towel, told me to get comfortable, and stepped out. When she came back, she put my hair up, and honestly... HEAVEN began. Within ten minutes, I already knew I wanted to extend it to 90 minutes (body scrub and massage $130 without tip) and I did! The massage was truly one of the best I've ever had (and I get massages often). She was incredibly kind, respectful, and attentive, constantly checking that I was warm and comfortable. The only part that didn't meet my expectations was the body scrub. It was my first time getting one, and I thought it would be a table shower experience. Instead, they use exfoliating mitts on the massage table and warm towels to clean you off. I also got a bit cold during that portion, so I'd probably skip the scrub next time- I must add that my skin is super soft so I'm still giving 5 stars for overall experience. She does such a meticulous job and I love how she's so detail oriented. Very professional, kind, and clearly cares about the work she does. The salon itself is very clean and quiet as well - practically everyone including the clientele here is Chinese, so will be very familiar with everyone else who lives in LIC (also mostly Chinese)! The only reason this isn't 5 stars is because the pricing is still high relative to some of the nail salons I used to frequent in Astoria. Not incredibly expensive but the price is still reasonable for the value and quality you get! Included a photo of my nails after about 2-3 weeks. Not a single chip and still perfectly done!
