As per usual, my Xfinity bill went up -- this time, it was $8/month from what it had been. (And…read moresome time last year, it went up $1.) Needless to say, I was not happy about this. I tried to find something else online, to no avail. So, I went to the store. They took my name and the reason I was there when I walked in. I waited all of about 45 seconds before someone (I think his name was Rich or Rick) helped me. He looked at my account and saw that 1) yes, it went up and 2) they no longer have that plan. BUT, he found another plan with a higher gig speed and it was $10 cheaper! Plus, he said if I change my autopay from a credit card to automatic bank withdrawl, it will go down another couple of dollars. So, while I wish 1) we had the free broadband for all that they were planning years ago and/or 2) actual competition and availability of internet providers, my experience at the Xfinity office was pretty good.
