As per usual, my Xfinity bill went up -- this time, it was $8/month from what it had been. (And some time last year, it went up $1.) Needless to say, I was not happy about this. I tried to find something else online, to no avail. So, I went to the store. They took my name and the reason I was there when I walked in. I waited all of about 45 seconds before someone (I think his name was Rich or Rick) helped me. He looked at my account and saw that 1) yes, it went up and 2) they no longer have that plan. BUT, he found another plan with a higher gig speed and it was $10 cheaper! Plus, he said if I change my autopay from a credit card to automatic bank withdrawl, it will go down another couple of dollars. So, while I wish 1) we had the free broadband for all that they were planning years ago and/or 2) actual competition and availability of internet providers, my experience at the Xfinity office was pretty good. read more

I know Xfinity is a big company so the workers don't care about the patrons but I highly suggest if they don't like their job or want to do it then they should quit. I received a call from Xfinity agent, trying to sell a phone with promotion on Jan,8, 2024. 2. The agent said: the phone (Samsung Galaxy A54 5G) will be free when I port a new number in 30 days. 3. I accepted the offer and the phone was received with a number. 4. I ported a new phone number (66*-67*-**28). 5. I think the deal is done. But I recently noticed Xfinity is charging $18.74 x 24 months for the 10-month device. 6. I contacted Xfinity. And they claimed the new number was ported in Feb, 2024, which is after 30 days. 7. I have printed the confirmation email of the number transfer from Google Voice. 8. I have printed the call record (17 mins call) on Jan 18 between two lines ((66*-67*-**28, 81*-33*-**28). Both are with Xfinity mobile and they should have the record. 9. This is the evidence that the new number was ported successfully and in effect. 10. Xfinity so far has been refusing to refund the device or apply the promotion. 11. Xfinity insisted that the new number 66*-67*-**28 was ported on Feb. 15, which invalidated the promotion. 12. Crappy like usual. I ended my account with Xfinity due to a move and being overcharged for service. Returned my equipment as instructed and set a close date for the account. Should have been all set. Nope, Xfinity kept the account open and I started getting billing notices. Found out they had left my account open. Thought I had that resolved after 3 long online Chat Bot sessions (nothing worse) but today I got a notice that I was going to be billed for unreturned equipment so I had to reach out again to get this corrected. Ridiculous! Xfinity focuses too much on trying to get you to stay with temporary deals that always revert back to their original price plan. Just set a fair price, honor that price and lock it in for the length of the service. Easy! Won't use them again. read more

If I could rate this company 0 I would. It's been 30 days since canceling my account with Xfinity via customer service (which I know see was apparently the biggest mistake) and from then...I have still yet to be issued my $180.25 refund.... Oh yes, my previous review said $127.25 and that's because I found out (by going in store to see the monitor the employee's work on) they charged me $50 something for my equipment which I did not receive any email/notification of any charge that they did so....when I have the receipt that my equipment was returned in store July 20th at 1:28pm (thanks for taking my equipment consultant Javonne K!) It is now August 7th and I still have not received my return!!!! After calling their putrid customer service call centers and speaking to supervisor Cesar (no last name would be given) and then calling their corporate line today to speak to a Desire J- in which I was told once again- "your refund should process in 3/5 days" although I have requested my refund since canceling my services with them since July 7th.... I have also left two corporate complaints for this horrible process of Xfinity/Comcast making their customers practically spend 5+ hours to get their own money refunded properly back to them...wow this almost seems like this could be a legal issue.... Since my first corporate complaint went unanswered in a way- today I was told I would receive a phone call from Chris, their higher up.... Can't wait for your phone call Chris....should I hold breath? Unfortunately I was blessed with needing to come in here to cancel my service due to a huge price hike on my bill. This review, mind you, is related to the store only! I went in with my equipment like I was asked on the phone and sadly this was far from easy. The wait was incredibly long to perform this simple task. Meanwhile, as we were waiting patiently, two different employees came up to us trying to pitch us a similar service to what we were cancelling or other products. Clearly we weren't in the mood to purchase anything further from Xfinity, let alone the same type of service that we were cancelling. After finally getting called to go up and return our equipment and fully cancel our account, we were asked again if "we were truly sure we wanted to cancel" and the gentleman continued to pitch it to us even though we said no. I understand that you need to upsell your products, but when a customer is clearly returning equipment and canceling service, you should probably just let them do what they came in to do. We are in the process of moving and have sold our house so I needed to discontinue our Comcast internet service while we look for our next house. I had asked for how to handle the stop in our internet service until we find a new home and was told that Comcast would put an automatic stop service as of midnight the day of the closing. Then I would just need to bring in the modem to any Comcast Xfinity store and this was the closest one. So I disconnected the modem and put it in my car to turn it in the next day. When I showed up at this store I was greeted and asked what I was wanting to get done, my information was taken down and I went to the assigned counter immediately to complete the turn in process. They quickly scanned the bar code on the modem and released it from my use. I was given a receipt for the turn in and told to call when we get our new place. I was out within about fifteen minutes and on my way! Overall a not unpleasant experience with friendly staff providing efficient service. read more

I've been trying to get to talk to someone for over 3 hours. They insist that you chat and I've answered the same questions a dozen times. They said they would call in a few minutes. That was 3 hours ago. I'm so tired of texting with a computer and now it says it will be a long time to even chat with an agent and to call. They give you no notification as to when your current plan expires or what new plans are available until it's too late and you HAVE TO WAIT TILL NEXT YEAR! I went to the Infinity store because Xfinity mobile told me the store would be able to print out the information I wanted. The store gave me Infinity mobile's phone number. They were surprised that the store was unable to help me. I gave the phone to the clerk and after listening to the agent, the girl just handed me the phone back and told me to download the app. After multiple attempts and 45 minutes I just left. If you enjoy wasting your time, go to the store. Even here at home so many people are trying to use the app, it gives an error code and is unavailable. This place is completely INCOMPETENT! Was supposed to have service until 5/4, then switch over to the new tenant. Received an email confirmation of this. Nothing happened. Called and they claimed it was 5/22, not 5/4. Then why did you email me a confirmation of the agreed upon date of 5/4? On 5/21, My husband returned an old cable box that we never plugged in or used and now the new tenant says the internet doesn't work. Literally within seconds of returning the cable tv box, their service went down. The reps at this store argued with my husband that nothing was wrong everything was working as the tenant was on the phone saying it wasn't. I seriously don't know how this company is in business. Reps have zero knowledge of their product, service randomly decides to stop working, customer service is out of India when you call. Hope you don't work from home, because Xfinity offers NO RELIABILITY and horrible customer service. We are opting to pay more and just tether through Verizon at our new location. As a company, you couldn't find a bigger collection of incompetency within a company anywhere on the planet. Horrible service, over the years, hours on hold, computer prompts that take you nowhere, and eventually ending up talking to person I cant understand. You couldn't get more frustrated with a company other than Apple and Pioneer who top the list of companies I wish never existed. Text book example of a company that is an illegal monopoly and has all its customers by the throat. Switch to wow but I've heard things about them also, direct-tv has similar bad reviews. People resist change, we are a species of habit. Change is tough. Maybe someone will replace this company with one that focuses on customers, service, answering the phone with a real live human, polite installers and reps, reasonable rates. But the farming out of customer service reps is common. Lots of bad companies like Comcast do this. I just talked with a girl that had an elephant in the background. This Cable Internet provider, (because we have those 2 thru them) does not meet my expectations! In any way. Service people do not speak clearly English! Numerous words are pronounced incorrectly. Which makes communication with them difficult and annoying. When they say they will call us back after monitoring it from their end...they do not call in a prompt andbtimely manner. But without our pre permission, they send (from their place) a signal to test & mess with Broadcast already in progress. Interrupting programs already in progress. Stopping any recording of I have going. Do not fall for their lies... They do not streaming enough speed to allow your internet to run smoothly. Stopped in at the store today to get my new iPhone. They have a deal that uses Xfinity or any Wi-Fi for free and you pay only $12 a GB for data when you have need it. I have a friend who has been on it for several months and he is happy. So I will be porting my existing number over and after 90 days there is a $200 Visa gift card. My consultant was Nommo Userkaf who did a wonderful job of explaining all the details to me. I had contacted Verizion to inquire if they had a similar deal and the customer service person said that they couldn't come close. read more

OK, so my Comcast internet went out. I waited a while and then followed the on-screen instructions to reset my modem. After resetting the modem, the Internet light never came on. So I called Comcast customer support and had the most bizarre conversation. The agent I spoke with quickly determined that a few other homes near me were also out. He then asked me to schedule a service call. I told him that I probably did not need a service call. Rather, I just wanted to know how soon he expected someone from Comcast would determine where the cable problem was and how long it might be until it was fixed. But he was adamant that I needed to have Comcast come to my house. I couldn't really understand why he was pushing for that, but when he would not commit to whether someone would work on the problem, I just gave up. Before hanging up with him, he told me that I didn't have TV service either. I checked and he was right. Since this guy made no sense to me, I called Comcast back again, hoping to get someone else that could answer my questions. The second agent I spoke with explained some of the bizarre behavior exhibited by the first one. It turns out Comcast determines whether there is an area outage not by the number of people that call in, but rather by the number of people that schedule appointments to have them come to your house. So when I and my affected neighbors didn't schedule someone from Comcast to come to the houses, that meant that according to Comcast, there was no problem.... Is that nuts or what? I again asked to speak with a supervisor to see whether it would be hours, days or weeks until Comcast would investigate this issue, but speaking to a supervisor must be a privilege afforded to heads of state or other Comcast employees, because I never got to speak with one and even after asking for a callback from a supervisor, I never heard from one. So this second agent told me that he would do a proximity check to see how widespread the problem was He then told me that none of my neighbors were out and since he could contact my cable modem, he could see that we weren't out either. What? So I clicked the Internet icon on my computer and sure enough there was the Internet. I turned on the TV tuner connected to my computer and the TV was working too. So what's the takeaway? If you lose services, the ONLY way to register the loss of services is to ask for a Comcast service appointment. You cannot just get the services fixed. And unless you ask for Comcast to come to your house, Comcast will do nothing. This sounds insane (at least to me), but this is how things seem to work. The first agent knew this and this is why he was pushing me to schedule a service call. Got that? If you lose services and others in your neighborhood also lose services, the only way to get the services restored is to ask for a service call. And if enough people ask for a service call, THEN Comcast will do something. It is not enough for them to recognize that they cannot communicate with your cable modem, YOU HAVE TO ASK FOR A SERVICE CALL! Then they will (maybe) do something. I would never have thought that a company could act in such an insane manner, but now I know how they are (for the moment) wired. I really don't know what their motivation is. Do they charge for service calls that you don't need or want? Do they count on service having been restored before they get to your house, so they can report that there is no problem? I have no idea. But I did want to pass my experiences n to others so you can get Comcast to do something when you have problems. read more

Jacob was the guy who attempted to help me. I was going to switch from WOW to xfinity. Went to the store. I explained to Jacob I only wanted internet and wanted to self install. Jacob went on to tell em that they charge a 60 free for a tech to come out. I said no unless it was WAVED for a NEW customer (never used them before but was unhappy with wow constantly jacking up the price) I wasn't interested in a tech and wanted self install. It's just a router not rocket science. Well Jacob decided to tell me that since my house has never been wired for Comcast I would need a tech. I reintegrated that I was not paying 60$ and wanted to know why I was told I could self install and not have to have a tech out by the rep on the number for them. He proceeded to tell me that Comcast will tell me that and wave the fee but I would still get charged. When I went to question this Jacob cut me off- I asked to please finish my thought and he said there was no use because I was only going to repeat him back and question him about this. I may not be able to stick it to the company but I can choose not to spend my money on them. I kept wow. I explained to wow that I was going to leave them but they had one last chance to renegotiate my internet or I would try dish. For 100gb or mb what ever internet is they gave me for 20.99 per month for 24 months. Including equipment. I may not be happy with how wow jacks prices up but it's way better than having horrible customer service and unethical communication skills. Also I will be speaking to a manager in the morning and I will be going through every level higher up to ensure Jacob is held accountable for his sales skills. I will be their almost customer from hell and Jacob will think twice about hi way of treating customers. I have already contacted Comcast via phone, utilized their social media and this.
