She sent us a text. We tried calling her back several times and texting but she wouldnt answer. I call bullshit on her, she just wanted this sunny weekend off. If we weree supposed to pick up the cake at noon that means she didnt even start it. We talked with her Friday she said it would be ready. There are a multitude of donut places in Tacoma, but I go here the most because it's the most reliable. I taught an Ocean 10 class over two Friday mornings, and I showed up at Frank's at three in the morning and said I need five dozen donuts and he delivered. Both times. It was impeccable. The cost is well below average, and the donuts are as bigger or bigger than average. The man is a master at his craft. I personally am not a donut person, but I make the exception with his apple fritters. My wife loves him, my kids love him, and I look like a superstar whenever I go down there and grab a dozen and bring them home. This is one of those small businesses that you want to support. You can appreciate the simplicity of his lobby, it doesn't have the glamour of a Dunkin or one of the other big donut, shops, but I'd rather have quality and value over a pretty façade.

She stated "You're more than welcome, let me know when you're ready to order". I thanked her and I would holler. The place was larger than I expected. The building didn't look as big on the outside. I guess I was fooled. LOL! The ambiance was clean, comfortable with cozy lounge furniture and dining tables. There is a Fireplace, however, was not in use as it was warm inside. The Christmas tree was still up. I was advised by one of the ladies that they leave it up and change the theme throughout the year. I thought that was pretty neat. Drive thru is available. After looking through the menu. I opted to order the sausage egg muffin breakfast $6.50. This was good. I also ordered a Masala Chai latte with coconut milk $6.30 (inclusive of up charge $.75). This was recommended by one of the ladies and had claimed it was her favorite drink. I enjoyed this drink very much! I also had a warmed apple fritter $3.05 which was good. The three ladies that were working on that day were so joyful, full of smiles and laughter. I could tell they had great chemistry and enjoyed working there. I believe one of them was the owner. They surely made my morning and my day. I left merrily on my way to run the rest of my errands. I shall be back! =)
