They dropped my washer and dryer stack when they taking it out the door, they didn't think I saw it .. tried to load it on my trailer but it as to tall then I saw the damage they did when they dropped it. First of all, Steve is very responsive and reliable, I will say that! He showed up the very next day to fix my sensor valve on my washer. The problem I had was the cost. It was only about 150 less than just buying a new washer! I wish he would have been upfront with me prior to the visit about his pricing, letting me know I could get a new one for not much more than he was charging me! I had a plumber here the day before, replaced multiple parts (one a new shutoff valve for that same washer and a couple parts to fix disposal). Plumber was here for 4 hours, and it included running going to the store at least twice to get parts, and charged me only 100 more than Steve did, and Steve was here for maybe 30 minutes! When he told me the price, he wouldn't even look me in the eye when I asked him why it was so expensive. I really felt 'taken to the cleaners'. read more

Steve G. has worked his magic again to bring our LG frig back to life last week 8/26. When you need someone who knows what to do after a quick visit and can get the parts that the job needs, this is the person to call. He has worked on this unit several times in its 9 year life which has extended the LG use--I would have bought a new unit but because of the covid problems, you can't buy a new item for months and months. Hopefully, we won't need to call him for years, but when we need a fix, we will call him first. JAH PS, we won't recommend an LG unit because of repair frequency. read more

They will be flat out honest with you if items are beyond repair, and will bend over backwards to make things work if doable. As long as I live in this area, I will always call Manassas Appliance first. I'll probably call them first even if I move away. They are just simply good, kind, and professional people. A tidbit on LG repairs. I've seen some negative reviews here. I am not sure what happened to those with negative experiences BUT it might be worth considering that the parts that LG requires sometimes are not readily available. Steve was recommended to me by a coworker. The thing that impressed me the most about him was is customer service and honesty. I explained to him the problems I've been having with my GE appliance and he told the problems might be. I scheduled him to come by and take a look, 2 days prior to him coming over my oven started to work again. I had to cancel on him as my oven was working again. 3 days later my oven stopped working again. Called Steve and he was over the next day to take a look. He explained to me what he thought the problem was and that it would be better off to call a GE appliance expert. He did not charge me for anything, was incredibly informative and made recommendations for new appliances and how I could potentially try and fix it myself if i didnt want to call GE. Honesty is truly a hard thing to find in a lot of companies, i will use Steve again anytime and recommend him to anyone. read more

Steve is listed as a Speed Queen authorized repair man. My 4 year old Speed Queen washer was off balance during the spinning cycle. Steve was super nice and said I was outside my warranty but he could look at it. When he arrived he stated the tub was too tight and not spinning properly. He needed to call Speed Queen to see how to proceed. Steve also stated that he felt I should just buy a new one as the cost to fix it would be substantial I paid him for $75 for the service call. That was Feb16th and I am still waiting for Steve to contact me on how to proceed. In the meantime I did a little research and called Speed Queen myself. All washer and dryers have a minimum of a 5 year warranty. Yeah, I was covered. My fault for not knowing this prior to calling Steve at Manassas Appliance Repair. I called Appliance Connection. They put me in contact with Mark and Ronnie and it was the best customer service ever. They were knowledgeable, professional and true Speed Queen authorized reps. Within minutes my problem was solved and at no charge. Highly recommend Appliance Connection from start to finish. I feel Steve from Manassas Appliance Repair took advantage of me and profited $75. Not sure how he maintains the status as a rep for Speed Queen. read more

I had a great experience with this company. They called a day ahead to confirm the date, then called the morning of the appointment to confirm the arrival time. Based on a prior conversation, they had the needed parts except a fuse, which they had on hand. The repairman explained everything he was doing while I "supervised" him troubleshooting. Within an hour, the dishwasher was fixed and I made sure to get his business card. I'll certainly call him the next time something needs repair. The appointment was arranged by the warranty service company. So, I can't speak to their non-warranty pricing. read more

We called to have our dryer looked at. Steve advised us that it would be $75 min to come out. Once he got here, he took my dryer apart, disassembled the top/front panels and disconnected the motherboard, he then stopped and said to go further would be $250 to determine if it needed a new heating unit. We declined. He said it was a fire hazard to put it back together. He would not reconnect it or put the screws back in. We paid him the $75. Luckily for us we figured out how to put the screws back in and reconnect it. That was so awful, unprofessional and vindictive to not put the dryer back how you found it because we didn't move forward. Just sharing my experience so that you can be aware. read more

They ordered the part I suspected it needed ahead of time and called when it came in to replace it (about a week later). I was having problems for the last several months with my Samsung front loader. I contacted Fisher Appliance of Manassas which has done work for me in the past. Fishers referred me to Manassas Appliance Repair as Fisher's focus is on Maytags....and I'm glad they did. Steve, a very affable guy, kept me updated on his arrival time at the house so I could do my thing until he got there. Throughout the service call Steve kept me apprised on his progress and showed me what was going on with the washer. He was very knowledgable about the machine and let me know which parts I needed to be aware of that may cause problems in the future. His price was very reasonable - and did not pad his earnings with unnecessary work......unlike another appliance repair company that charged me $140 to balance the machine - which was never balanced. Wow, like many others on here I was assigned this company as the servicer for my maytag dishwasher warranty. First time the guy showed up he made it pretty clear that he wasn't interested in the call as he wasn't getting paid by the manufacturer, etc on & on. As if it's my fault that the manufacturer sent him?!?!? After informing me that a part had to be ordered & complaining about what a pain in the butt it was going to be to install the part he basically left with no info on when he would be back or even his company info. After waiting weeks & calling maytag 3 times they have moved on to another repair company that hopefully understands customer service. DO NOT use these guys. They are horrible. They actually made my stovetop worst and wanted to charge me to repair their screw up. It all started when one of my burners on my stovetop stopped working. I called the manufacture and they said the part is under warranty but not the labor. Not knowing any better, I proceeded. These guys charged me $175 labor because they 'had to have two guys' to do the repair. I guess one to repair and one to watch because that's all he did- watched and checked his phone. After the techs left, the 'hot surface' light went out. It was working before these guys worked on the stovetop. I tried to call these guys to come back to repair the problem; not a single call back. I finally called stating I am a new customer and needed an appliance to be repaired. I got a call back before the end of the day. It gets better. After I explained what happened, they wanted to charge me a fee to come out and repair their screw up. I finally called the manufacturer and explained what happened. They are sending someone else to clean up Manassas Appliance's mess and hopefully will never use their services again. read more

We have been a customer for the past four years. Our stacked Whirlpool washer/dryer combo is in a very tight corner of our washroom space. Can you say closet? Every time we've required warranty repair work, this company returns our calls and even arranged to call us so that we could travel from work to meet them, so that we wouldn't need to take the entire day off. This company is the only one who is willing to bring an extra set of hands to remove the stacks from our confined space. Others have charged us extra to do the same work. Repairs are efficient. DON'T CALL Manassas Appliance Repair if you are assigned this business to fix your major appliance under LG warranty purchased through Home Depot. I called and left a message to get some help with a simple fix for my appliance. A week sailed by and there was no call back. Well, I can get that businesses can get caught up and be busy doing actual repair. So I called again and this time spoke with the owner and he clearly stated that he was so behind on service calls for warranty work that he just could not get caught up. Emphasized that he was a one-man operation. Despite my intuition which told me to go elsewhere right then, I gave him the 2nd chance. He said he'd call back after the part was ordered to schedule a fix date. Three weeks went by and I received no return call. I called him back and said I needed to get my appliance fixed under warranty and that we had spoken previously and I had not heard back yet on the part he said he was ordering. The FIRST words out of his mouth were: I probably didn't call because they sent the wrong part. OK, by now, I was done. Without even checking, he was offering excuses.. again. He then said he would call me back. Intrigued as to how this transaction would end, I agreed to see what the call back would yield. At this point he asked for my phone number and name, and apparently *checked his records*. The return message said: that LG would have to repair it under the manufacturer's warranty. If he had BOTHERED to call me when he first found this out- three weeks before, I would have been able to get the repair done rapidly. LG sent their technician within two days of my phone call and easily fixed the problem. He is a POOR communicator, and here's the deal, WHY participate in the warranty repair program if you are so overburdened with work, that you cannot do it in a timely fashion. I cannot comment on his competence at actual repair since it never happened for me, but I can say, he is a poor business man and apparently so busy he does not need to follow through with many of his warranty-work customers. read more

I purchased a brand new dishwasher that unfortunately did not work upon receipt. Best Buy sent my info to Manassas Appliance Repair to get it fixed. I was happy after the first visit. The gentleman who came to the house was courteous and seemed knowledgable. Unfortunately, he needed to order a part. He said it would take 2-3 days. TWENTY ONE days and a half dozen calls later, he finally came back to fix my dishwasher. Well, upon opening the box from the manufactuer it turned out he had a part for an oven. I can't completely fault him because the manufacturer did send the wrong part. However, he could have opened the box BEFORE I took another day off from work. We're now FOURTEEN days past that appointment and I haven't recieved a call back from the two messages I've left (one on a machine, one with an employee). We'll see if I ever get my dishwasher repaired. Not only would I never suggest Manassas Applicance repair to anyone, I actually might think twice before buying an applicance from Best Buy in fear of having to deal with them again. WARNING! Do NOT use Manassas Appliance Repair. The owner, who "repaired" my LG washer, would only accept a check and then didn't return my calls after it broke again a week later. We did two loads in between before we were back where we started. He charged almost $200 for the one visit and "repair". Unfortunately, the "repair" was only temporary and we had no recourse -- he'd already cashed the check. We were swindled. And this guys was recommended by LG!! Obviously, we will be lodging a complaint. We ended up having to spend another $200 to fix the washer, so $400 total. Could have bought a new one by that point. read more
