We were in an exam room by 9am. Dr Mark was kind and knowledgeable. He did an exam and did not order any expensive or unnecessary testing. The best part is he did the exam in the room and the dog did not have to be taken away from us in a back room. Both my dog and I dislike that very much. It was a relief to be there for the exam. We got a prescription and we were out of there by 9:30. My baby is already feeling better. I would definitely take him back to this vet clinic. If you're trying to get an emergency appointment, call as soon as they open because spots fill up fast.

Waited outside due to the doors being locked for 4 hours. No one answered the phones, and we could not get any answers. When we brought the dog back for the follow up, we had the sutures removed, had the rabies, Lyme vaccination, and DAPP Booster shots, and were sold the flea and tick medication. When we got home, I was informed that we had already purchased the flea and tick medication a month ago. I called to see about bringing the medication back that was still in the bag, and with the receipt that was about an hour old. I was told that I would be refunded the money to the card. When I arrived the lady, that I won't mention by name, informed me that I could only have a store credit. We live about 25 miles away and would like to go to a closer vet for routine visits. The in- store credit was a retention tool to force us to come back to them only. I decided that I would rather donate the medication to a friend or someone that needs it rather than be lied to and forced to go to a business that won't honor what they said they would do. You can sheer a sheep for life, or you can skin them once. This proverb fits Wolf River Veterinary Clinic perfectly! We spent thousands and were denied a refund on a product that was bought an hour ago. Do your research and have another Vet on standby!.

After speaking with Colleen the front end manager I am almost certain I will be looking elsewhere. I have two under 15lb dogs that I've always taking to have their nails trimmed here. They put Muzzles on them and it takes less than 5 minutes a dog. Today it cost me almost $55 to have them done. Usually I pay less than $26 for both of them. When calling to inquire about The heavy increase she pretty Much told me the owners decided the time to do nail for difficult dogs was not worth the effort and was taking time away from other customers! Hello what the hell am I? And difficult! You can cruse them both with your hands! I've spent thousands at this clinic to now be told they are doing this to have us take out dogs to a groomer! Hell no... my Dogs are very nervous so the fewer people dealing with them in this traumatic Experience the better for them. I get an increase because of inflation but over 50% is absurd! More importantly not being told of the increase is down right dirty. She tells me their rates go up every year the first of the year! I guess I never noticed because they were not over 50%! Then I asked for an owner to call Me back and she tells me she can't guarantee they will. When I question her about that she tells me she isn't gong to continue to get yelled at for a decision she didn't make and hangs up on me! Boy am I very disappointed! It's your job to deal with upset customers and if you don't give a crap about how I feel then how are you truly treating my animals! I can only hope the owners re-elevator their decision to literally push customers out the front door! More importantly your managers attitude!

Over the years, some of the Doctors have moved on, but the quality of care has remained first rate. I try to schedule my appointments with Dr. Dan Oberschlake. He has always treated my pets with kindness and compassion as well as keeping me informed about any new treatments available. On occasion he has also provoided some home remedies that I could try in place of drugs like cooked rice and hamburger for an upset or irritated stomach. From end of life issues to helping a new puppy with training, Dr. Oberschlake has been there for me and for them. After the death of my beloved dog Max (age 16) I was having grief issues that would not go away. Dr. Oberschlake to the time to share his own feelings of sadness and loss after his collie Snuffy passed. He also provided a local resource for dealing with pet loss. When we got our youngest Springer Spaniel Cheyenne, it soon became clear that potty training was going to be a problem. She had a real problem holding her urine for any period of time. She was sleeping on my lap once and she actually peed all over me as she slept. I knew something was definitely wrong and got her in to see Dr. Oberschlake that day. He told me that sometimes little female pups have a weak sphincter muscle that makes them unable to hold their urine. He precribed a medicine that tighted up that muscle and her potty problems were solved much to everyone's relief, especially Cheyenne's. I cannot say enough about the good care my pets have received from the staff at Heritage. From the cosmetic surgery on Mattie's nose, to Eli"s broken leg, from frank discussions about euthanasia (always followed by a sympathy card signed by all the staff) to welcoming a new baby to the family, the professionals at Heritage Animal Hospital in Hortonville are up to the task. We are fortunate to have such a valuable pet health resource in our area.
