We purchased quite a few appliances during a remodel of our new house. Once this company has your money they are done. They offer no support if you have issues and tell you to call the manufacturer. The range we purchased has never worked. I would not deal with this company. read more

Probably the worst customer service I have ever experienced. We purchased a new General Electric range that hasn't worked since the day it was delivered. We have gone through the proper channels for repairs twice. Each time, it takes at least two weeks for the repair company to come out, four to six weeks to receive the part, then another two weeks to come install the new part that still doesn't solve the problem. We have called the store on several occasions to make them aware of the problems. Lynn proved to be ineffective and rude. Today I visited the store to talk to Mike, the owner. I asked for some resolution to our problem. I didn't expect a refund, just thought maybe he could help us with a replacement until we have a working oven. He called me "a nut job" and threaten to call the police if I didn't leave the store. Yes, I was angry. I explained that he would be angry in my situation too. He walked in his office and shut the door. I left his store and I will never step foot in there again. I advise you do the same. read more

These people could care less about making a sale, and the attitude from Lynn (sales associate) proved it! My fiance and I first stopped by a few months back looking for appliances (we are building a new home in the area). While there, he noticed a gun he wanted to purchase. Lynn refused to help us, stating "the paperwork takes too much time and she was the only one working". Really??? Ok, so we thought we would come back. Then my fiance called about a month ago (2 months later) and spoke to a gentleman there (he thinks it was Mike, the owner) and asked if the gun was still available (he provided Mike the exact specs on it) cuz he wanted to come down and purchase it. Mike told him yes. Then, I called the store early this November and asked to purchase a gift card for my fiance so that he could be surprised when he showed up (he could redeem it toward his gun purchase if he wanted). I spoke to 3 different people during that phone call, with the last person being Mike, the owner. I told him specifically what my fiance would purchase and when he would come in. Mike told me that he had 4 guns that fit my exact description and he took my credit card info over the phone and I purchased the gift card and they held it in the store (btw, the charge on my credit card went through the next day). We stopped in on Nov. 19th, 2021 so my man could redeem the GC. Lynn was the only one working again (Mike was out sick). In a nutshell, there was NO such gun. She called Mike and was totally unaware as far as we could tell. We made a trip down from South Seattle for this run-around! These people are incompetent! The worst part about the whole thing was Lynn's attitude! She acted so put out to have to even help us or answer a single question. I never raised my voice or was rude in any way. At least they refunded my card, but why give misinformation in the first place?? Lynn was very rude! Not only will we NOT RECOMMEND this store to anyone, but they also lost thousands in sales of appliances. read more

By a long shot, Manchester's has provided the most thoughtful, educated and honest service that I have received while shopping for and purchasing appliances. As an interior designer, I often have to shop in high end fancy pants show rooms, I have never experienced the sincerity and care in those showrooms that I have experienced at Manchester's. As a customer, there are so many stressors that can be triggered when purchasing appliances. The pressure to choose the right brand, make and model, the pressure to make sure the appliances fit and can be installed correctly, make the investment, get what I want when I want/need it, and the pressure not to make a mistake could be enough to send some shoppers over the edge. Manchester's has taken the pain out of my purchasing by being excellent communicators, telling me the truth (not what they think I want to hear) and doing everything in their power to alleviate every possible complication. Manchester's has educated me by showing me the best options regarding what I have asked for and they have explained the benefits vs. disadvantages of each option. I have never felt that they are trying to "sell me", they are truly interested in helping me find the best option for my purposes. They have helped me understand structural, plumbing and electrical specifications when I have had questions. Thankfully, for a very affordable price, they take care of delivery and installation - worth every penny and more! read more

This review is my second for this business...regarding the same purchase, but after said purchase. For this updated review, I was torn between 1 and 2 stars, but I felt that I MUST give an honest opinion, and I did think "What if Yelp had the option of NO stars." Note that this review has nothing to do with the salesperson, Joel, who was professional at all times, and was the person who installed the washer/dryer....he would be a credit to any company. After I purchased the unit, a Whirlpool, one of the owners telephoned and told me they were having difficulty getting the item I ordered in gas. We spoke of the differences of gas v. electric. He then spoke to me about another manufacturer that was a bit more expensive. I liked how the washer of that product was described and okayed the order of that. Over the course of the discussions we spoke 2, maybe 3 times. The following Monday I went by there store to make sure the changes had been instituted for my purchase. Frigidaire instead of Whirlpool, and electric instead of gas. I was assured that there was no problem, no problem whatsoever. Not long after an employee telephoned to say the unit arrived. I was told it was gas, and that if I wanted to change to electric I would have to pay a restocking fee. The following day the same employee called again to say an electric model had arrived, but I would still be responsible for a restocking fee should I not take the gas. Luckily I am in a phase of remodel where I can choose,...and I believed I made that change in choice known to the owner. So, I took the gas dryer. What really troubles me is the owner (not the salesperson) saw fit to telephone me about another unit, discuss price, gas v. electric, blah, blah, blah...and to call me more than once. Now here it is months later and the construction for the gas dryer is complete....but the fitting on the dryer and the flex hose (that I purchased from Manchester Brothers does not fit. After calling Manchester Brothers and being treated far below what a customer should be treated, I feel it is time to post this review. I later purchased a gas stove and a dishwasher from another company as I felt that the service I received from Manchester Brothers was sub-par and did not want to repeat the problem. read more

I bought a Fisher and Paykel washer and dryer from Manchester's for $2300 and after 2 years had the water pump go out and we had to replace all of our houses carpet and now have a problem again with it (probably $600 bearings) I went in and talked to a lady/bookkeeper who walked away angry with me when I said I thought because they were local that they would give me better service than a big box store. I never raised my voice, I never used bad language, but she was rude and walked away and said "she was sorry I felt that way." Sorry that I felt because I was local and they were local that I would get better service? Lived in Longview 34 years and it will be more than that before I darken the doors of Manchester's. You would do better to go to Lowe's or Home Depot...........or wash your clothes in the river. read more

Today I purchased a washer/dryer from Manchester Brothers. I had visited Home Depot and Lowes as well, and while their prices were a bit lower, I got the best service I could have ever imagined at Manchester Brothers. I worked with Joel, who was helpful beyond description. The customer service, the friendliness of all the staff, and quality products made a believer out of me. Saving a little money IS NOT the only part of purchasing appliances...it is how you are treated, it is their knowledge in the product, their backing up of what they sell, and the helpfulness of those that work at any store. Manchester has earned my business, and I am thankful for that. They will see me again. read more

I bought a fridge and there were problems. Sorting out problems with people 3 blocks from my house and free of corporate rule is easy though. I'm sure I'm going back for a stove and a washing machine. Thanks read more
