I called for a taxi from the exit 5 Boston Express bus terminal in Londonderry to the Manchester Airport, which was only $17. I personally would rather give my hard earned money to a local and efficient taxi company versus a fly-by-night Uber or Lyft driver. I fly in town twice a year and I will most definitely use Londonderry Taxi/ Manchester Taxi service again.

Well, now they don't even bother to show up. Nobody came, we waited for two hours. Half-way through the wait, I tried calling and it went straight to voicemail "Please do not leave a message". I swear it's like a cycle with these drivers. Act like a dirtbag. Get fewer tips and make less money. Act like a dirtbag because of it. Company gets a bad name. Get fewer tips and make less money. This was business related so I had a fixed price. I had an hour to arrange pick up and leave. After eight other companies were unable to help me we found odyssey. They were able to get a car to me in twenty minutes and deliver me to Logan in time for my flight and within my price range. My return flight from Logan I once again had short notice. I'm a slow learner sometimes and tried two other companies that couldn't meet my needs. As soon I called Odyssey they had me scheduled for a pick up at Logan. The cars were immaculate, clean, comfortable, and in great condition. The two drivers I had were professional and able to read my needs. All of my future work related transportation needs will be handled by Odyssey. We have a wedding to plan for with a lot of out of state guests and Odyssey transportation will be our choice for transportation.

Max was friendly and the ride was pleasant. As we approached the hotel, I noticed there was no meter and asked how fares were calculated. He explained they were based on zones. When we arrived, he charged $33 plus $3 for our third passenger. I also tipped him. Once I got settled, I looked up the zone rates on the Manchester airport website because the fare seemed unusually high. From what I found, the trip should have been about $15 plus $3 for Zone 2. Unless I'm misunderstanding the rate structure, I was charged essentially DOUBLE what the fare should have been. Lesson learned: confirm the fare up front and get a receipt.
