I got the Thursday special which was the half meatball grinder, fries and a drink. The sauce and bread were great. The meatballs were tasty but too dense to enjoy on a grinder. ALWAYS check your pizza and your bill! Not only were we given an overcooked (burnt) pizza, with skimpy toppings, but we were overcharged! I had to pry the detailed bill information from them (all they offered was a "sign here" charge receipt. Turns out their policy is to charge for each topping (whether it covers the entire pizza or only 1/2 of the pizza. I ordered a large. The first 1/2 was to be sausage, mushroom and green olives. The second half was pepperoni, mushroom and black olives. And extra cheese over the whole pizza. They charged for 6 items. (Most places would have charged 1/2 the cost, since it's 1/2 of the topping). Like I said, the toppings were skimpy at that, and the entire pie was cooked way too long.... and does that even look like extra cheese? We are on a mission to taste every pizza in Fort Wayne (minus the conglomo corporate fast food chains!) ... and Mancino's is stop number 26. We dined in, and the dining room is rather empty and kind of underwhelming. As far as the pizza goes (that's the reason we are here, right?!), this was by far the best crust/dough we've been served on our pizza crawl adventure. It was light, fluffy, and had great flavor. Generous amounts of veggies on our 14" Vegetable pizza made the rest of the pie tasty too. Overall, high marks for crust/dough, toppings, and price. This might received top 5 consideration! Ordered a couple of delicious Italian grinders for carry out after a local news station highlighted their success. The grinders are large and come with everything, including green peppers, which is unique to the usual LTO on a typical Italian grinder. The meats and cheeses were of high quality and the bread is clearly fresh baked. I look forward to trying other items from this location. Staff was friendly and accurate. Parking lot was jam-packed, but probably because of the car lot next door, not because of the overwhelming number of patrons in the store. read more

During a time when restaurants are on lockdown and only allowed to do carry out or delivery I found this gem. My Mondays will never be the same. I just discovered that Mancino's Pizza and Grinders has 8" Grinders on Mondays for $5.49. We tried the Crab Grinder and the Cowboy Steak Grinder and since we got such a great deal on the grinders we went for the extra large 16" Mancino's Pride Pizza. (We subbed banana peppers in place of the green peppers) The mmms and groans of my happy family during dinner said it all! Mancino's on Coliseum Road doesn't mess around. They load the toppings on! The place has an exceptionally tasty menu, with little to regret no matter which item you choose. Imagine a magic room where everything is the tastiest morsel of food to ever be beheld, and it'll have a 'Mancinos' sign outside, I can and will guarantee. I couldn't picture a better staff, and service. I'd highly recommend a check out of the place, and probably a buy or two; wouldn't wanna be the guy that doesn't order anything, do you? Went here to eat and the guys on staff said the owner called and told them to close early. They only made $400 today. They referred us to another Pizza place and while we were placing an order we saw 10 more customers turned away due to closing early. They said there ovens were off. I ordered a chicken parmesan sub this evening. The chicken was unbreaded and waa apparently frozen from a bag. The cheese was unmelted and nasty. The sauce was cold and the bread was mealy. It was the nastiest sub I've ever had. I'll never eat there again. Garbage! read more

In Fort Wayne to visit some friends... unfortunately Mancino's forgot to put my pizza in. Showed up to pick up my order and had to wait another 10 minutes with two unhappy kids in the car :-(. If there was a way to rate Mancinos's a zero and still leave comments, I would have. On New Year's day we looked on their Facebook page and it gave their hours and said they were open, we went to their online menu which also said open, proceeded to place an online order which allowed me to pay online and said it would be delivered within 45 minutes. The order never came because they were closed for the day, but did not have it posted to inform their customers anywhere. The cowboy sandwich they have is my new favorite. I would put that sauce on everything. I also love their salads! Big portions. I personally am not a big fan of their pizza sauce. It's a bit sweeter than most. Other than that I'd recommend trying this place out! read more
