In town every few years but always need to have my Italian sandwich fix. Mancino's has always been my fav in this area. We ran short on time this trip but actually found a take out location close to where we stayed on the day before we came back home. Sandwich was good but lacked the amount of stuff inside but let me tell you their bread is totally amazing. Wasn't quite the same as another location we go visit but it did taste very good. This is not the mancinos I remember! How this place has 4 stars is beyond me. I'd like to know how jacking their prices to double without changing their website can be legal. $23 for a grinder and he mentions they changed prices a year ago but no mention of it online or on phone when I said something about price. Had to be a mistake. My veggie grinder was horrible. All I could taste was olive. I'll never be back. Isn't what I remembered anyway. I ordered delivery from here cuz I felt like staying in my hotel room and I'm glad I did! The delivery was quick and the food was delicious. I ordered a sausage, bacon, and pepperoni calzone and scarfed it down faster than I probably should have, but it was too delicious to let sit for long. The crust was a perfect blend of crispy and chewy - chewy enough to have a fantastic texture. They also seasoned the crust wonderfully. I also ordered the Mancino's Pride pizza with the intent on saving it for breakfast for the next day, but I ended up eating it too. Now I feel a bit of remorse for ignoring my diet, but my stomach and my taste-buds are super pleased with Mancino's. Personally, I think the calzone wins out due to how well the crust was seasoned and cooked, but the pizza was pretty dang tasty too! I'd order both items again and I'll definitely be getting delivery from them again next time I'm through Lansing on work. Side note: if you're really hungry - the calzone might not be enough food by itself, might wanna order something else to go along with it. read more

Double the price compared to other nearby Mancino's. Absolutely ridiculous to charge 22 dollars for a whole grinder that other Mancinos charge 12 dollars for! Take the drive and save half your money. Will never give this location another dollar! read more

The grinder's are the stuff of legend. Amazing variety, the bread alone is worth the price of admission. I grew up in East Lansing and have enjoyed them for decades. The pizza is ok, great toppings but the dough is always "doughy", they don't cook it right. The garlic cheese bread? Delightful but don waste your $ on the meat, it virtually doesn't exsist. read more

This was one of my favorite restaurants until tonight. I ordered my usual 12 inch pepperoni, sausage, bacon, extra cheese and a little bell peppers on top. Whenever I said bellpeppers, the guy kept saying peppercinis and I corrected him and said "no, bellpeppers! Well when I got home, what was on it....you guessed it PEPPERCINIS!! I called to let him know that the order wasn't correct. He insisted on telling me they don't have bellpeppers and that bellpeppers are peppercinis! Then he said they don't have bellpeppers and I told him I was looking at the bell peppers on the grinder I ordered. The other issue was the bacon wasn't done. I know mistakes happen and I wasn't trying to get a free pizza. My reasoning was that I have always told people how good their food is, Especially the pizzas. I've seen businesses close down because of bad customer service and the only reason I called was to let them know for their own benefit. The Mancino's at 1402 W. Mt. Hope is officially one the nastiest places to eat in Lansing, Michigan. The mixed/light skinned boy behind the counter is SO disgusting. He doesn't wash his hands, he doesn't wear gloves, and somehow seems to think it's okay to touch everything in the store and then try to fix you a sandwich. He opend the mayonnaise with his bare hands and when he got it on his hands, he wiped them on his apron. YUCK! He then stuck his hand in toppings and played around in the freezer. Not once stopping to wash his hands. When I requested the guy put gloves on, he put ONE glove on but advised me, "I don't have to wear gloves." Needless to say, I did NOT make a purchase. When this information was brought to the managers attention he wasn't concerned and was extremely rude and obnoxious. This place is gross. read more

delivery time came and went. 10 minutes after it sounds have been delivered it finally left the resturaunt. got food 25 minutes after the 45 - 60 minute window closed. calzone was topped with a cajin blackened spice. not a fan. and surely didn't belong on a calzone. bread sticks were frozen garlic bread topped with Cheese and peperoni. baked spagette was good. all in all not worth the money or the wait. order pizza hut ot daminos it will be better... read more

This place has the best Italian sub I have ever had. I've tried nearly every place in Lansing that sells subs. They are a huge 16 inches, loaded with the perfect combination of meat, veggies, and cheese. They are extremely fast and always fresh. Never had a bad sandwich from here, they've always been good. Customer services is good too. It's not a sit down place, you just pick it up so not much employee/customer interaction. read more

My grandma, sister, and I went there about a month ago. We were very disappointed in the food. It was either soggy, burnt, or overcooked. Our appetizer (potato skins) was cold and the cheese was melted and not cooked. My grinder was soggy. My sisters nachos were burnt. And my grandmas soup was cold. Let me start by saying that I don't have extremely high standards when it comes to my food and customer service, but this place completely dumbfounded me. This is my first time writing a negative review online. The first issue: You could order the same exact item at this restaurant every time, and it will NEVER be the same price. I don't think the cashiers ever know what they're doing. Second: It's the first pizza I've ever had in which the crust tasted charred and dare I say, like VODKA. I am not exaggerating, I could taste it and even my best friend could smell it on my breath, and this was after giving their pizza a third shot, hoping that it was just a fluke. Third: This one was the absolute icing on the cake, and probably the worst thing I've experienced in a restaurant. I asked the cashier for water to go with my order. He handed me a small plastic cup, and told me to go into their single stall, public bathroom and fill it up. This is not a lie or a joke, the cashier actually said this to a customer. I have zero respect for the people running this place. It's as if a couple guys who know nothing at all and had no money, decided to sell burnt pizza on a street corner, I simply do not understand how this place stays open. read more
