We went for brunch after church today (Easter). Liked the atmosphere. Wait staff was attentive and courteous. Ordered Bloody Mary and Mimosa. BM came with a 10" stick with veggies and meat and cheese. Not too spicy. It was decent but found out later it was $12!!!! Definitely overpriced. At least put more vodka in it. Mimosa was only $3 but it wasn't special. Needed more champagne. We ordered the onion soup. It was quite good but sweetish. Very cheesy. We then ordered the crab cake eggs Benedict and the vegetarian stack. Both were good and hearty...when they arrived. We waited a good 30 minutes or more from time of order. They claimed there were big tables ahead of us but really!!?? The restaurant was not swamped. It was beyond aggravating and no one offered any comp or reduction of any kind. I simply expected better but we've heard they've been suffering staff turnover already. We definitely will go again since Mancys has such a good rep but they need to get better. Excellent service and excellent food. Our waiter was very attentive, and we were approached by the manager several times as a courtesy. We were a bit nervous bringing our young family (4 kids) to a nice, upscale restaurant but they did fantastic, which I partially attribute to the great service!! Food was well worth it also. Had a tasty steak and broccoli dinner and the drinks were as good as always! Sat at the bar since the wait staff had been let out early.

I visited again two times this weekend. Good and drinks and staff all first rate. I only wish I lived closer. Would be very hard to find s better restaurant. Decor inside and out are also outstanding. In a terrific hotel that should be a destination. All the best for continuing success read more

Just ate here for breakfast after a hotel stay- so good. The chicken & the egg breakfast sandwich is dreamy. So many complex layers of deliciousness- buttermilk fried chicken, sourdough bread, over easy egg, lettuce & tomato & basil aioli all come together & it's a home run. We had a wonderful experience. We were greeted at the restaurant by two friendly and adorable young women. They made us feel at home. Daquan was an exceptional server. Very kind and eloquent with his serving abilities. Our food was delicious, from the crab stuffed mushrooms to our main course. Steaks were cooked perfectly the first time, crab was very good. We were having an anniversary celebration, and the decadent dessert, was a gift from Mancys. My husband, myself and 3 friends were here for drinks 2 evenings ago, even though James and Jeffrey were not our servers, they went out of their way to come to our table and made us feel so welcomed. They again stopped by our table this evening, just to say hello, superb service! read more

Mancys is in the Hancock Hotel (Findlay). We have been a few time as we have stayed in Findlay at the Hancock, so Mancys is handy. The bar area is comfortable and classy. The food is decent - you know, better than ok but not amazing - kind of on the other side of average. The wine list was not great and the servers do not know how to serve wine at a table. The servers are very nice and attentive. The most disappointing though was the hostess /being seated. The host/hostess (different person each time) were so grumpy. It was like we were putting them out by asking to be seated. So strange. I would probably have rated it 4stars if not for the host/hostess experience. read more

Had lunch here the other day. Service was very attentive, food was pretty good. The burger could have been more flavorful, but I loved the yellow tomato instead of the usual red. The inhouse chips are fantastic-probably good that they don't sell them in bags! It can be a bit pricy, but I'd certainly come for special occasions! read more

Tried this Mancy's out-of-town location on a Friday night for dinner. A companion had recently been there for Sunday brunch and thought it was great. The service was top-notch! Cocktails are a bit pricey, but excellent, nonetheless. Seared scallops were a daily special, served with a corn risotto flavored with bacon. It was wonderful & would be a great addition to the regular menu. Other selections for our table were beef and salmon, which were also excellent. None of us had room for dessert, but they had many to choose from. Will certainly go again! read more

We decided to try Mancy's since it was Father's Day weekend. I was visiting my kids from Indianapolis. The bar was amazing from a visual standpoint! However, I was disappointed with the experience only because of the bartender Jarred. We waited for him even to notice us, and then thankfully a female bartender/waitress finally took care of us. Honestly, he seemed like everything was a major drama and it was painful to watch how rude he was to the servers. Jennifer was excellent FYI. This is meant to be constructive, and we plan to return. But perhaps focus on the customer moving forward. read more

We decided to go here for a sisters/girl's dinner for my sister's birthday celebration. The bar staff was slow but the drinks were delicious. We waited over 30 minutes to be seated, only to go to the hostess to be told our table had been ready. We waited 10 minutes before our waitress made her way over for a drink order. We didn't receive bread or anything while waiting, we sat for at least an hour with no food on the table. Then when the entree's came out, 1/2 of them weren't hot...The beef medallions with crab tasted great but the 3 of us who ordered it had cold plates. My mom's shrimp was overcooked but she wouldn't complain. We spent over 3 hours here having dinner, not what we had anticipated. read more

I'm giving a 2 star rating solely on the friendliness of the waiter, otherwise it's a zero. The food was far below standards of any steakhouse. The wedge salad was a "mess on a plate" and one of the smallest I've ever had. The oysters...presented nicely, taste was good but the size of a dime. The main course (ribeye on a bone) was inedible and sent back twice. I opted not to have a replacement meal as the entire table was already finished eating. The table was offered deserts and everyone seemed to enjoy the turtle cake...the celebration cake was frozen, extremely dense and dry. I know the struggles in finding quality help these days and realize this is a newly opened establishment. I understand and appreciate the investment Marathon has put into our community. We are very fortunate to have them in our wonderful city. I'm sure these food quality issues will be addressed over time. Hopefully sooner than later. If not, difficult decisions will need to take place to protect each other's brand. Best wishes and good luck! read more

The first time I came here I came on Monday for the lunch special: steak and side for $10. I hadn't had good steak in a while and thought I would enjoy it here. Came with a party of 4 and were seated immediately. I ordered a house salad, the special (med-rare) and green beans. It took 45 min to be served. The waitress was very apologetic, but the conversation was good and I had high hopes for the food so I didn't mind. The salad was very disappointing. The lettuce had not been throughly worked through and there were bad pieces of lettuce which is unpleasant. When our steaks arrived I was disappointed again when I realized my steak could not be described as anything other than well done. It was seasoned great and the green beans were good. I didn't complain because it was busy, I needed to get back to work (i has been there an hr and a half), and it was a $14 meal. I probably would have said something had it been dinner and it cost $50+ Went again a few weeks later for the Friday lunch special. I'd never had walleye fish. It was fried so hard to fully appreciate the flavor but fair. Both times I've had a very medium experience. Restaurant atmosphere is very new and good for table conversations. read more

WOW! I had heard good things about Mancy's in Toledo and was not disappointed! Our waiter James was very professional and adequately attentive. He suggested a couple of things for my wife to try and was spot on. My wife had a wedge salad and I had the house salad, both were very good, well chilled and tasty. Next came the Delmonico Ribeyes that we both ordered. OMG! Talk about tender, it was melt in your mouth tender, the kind you only hear about. For dessert we shared a slice of New York Cheescake that was so good we wished we had ordered one slice each! What a wonderful dining experience! read more

When questioned about what is the purpose of a reservation the answer was well we don't take walk ins on Friday or Saturday night. We left and ate elsewhere. What a waste of time. read more

Four of us came down from Michigan for dinner on Saturday night. The steaks and baked potatoes and shrimp were prepared perfectly. They tasted great the next day too. I had the Salmon and it was great too. The warm bread slices before hand were quite good. The staff packaged up the leftovers which I really appreciate, I think that is the professional way to do it. Super disappointing honestly. I will start by saying the food was definitely good...when we finally got it after 60+ minutes. We had a reservation and we seated at a high top in the bar when the dining room areas had plenty of seating. This in itself wasn't a great start. If we wanted to be in the bar, we wouldn't have made a reservation. Then, after bread, salads and drinks, we were told it would be "awhile" because the kitchen was serving a large party. Not sure how/why that would affect the rest of the diners. After 60+ minutes, we asked about our food and were told that our meals were "next." By this time, we were somewhat ready to leave after waiting so long. The server was nice but overall, the experience was definitely not what we expected and we were not offered any compensation for our inconvenience. Not sure we need to go back and expected a lot more for the name that we have known for years and the price point. read more

Three of us dined at Mancy's last evening. Upon arriving valet was great as it was raining. Hotel lobby was bustling with prom and a wedding. Restaurant and bar are handsome. Seating was a bit chaotic considering our reservation. Had to ask for the specials list. At 6:15 I would have expected they would have the aged wagyu ribeye on the special list...yet no. They were busy, considering this service was good. Our servers where polite. Drinks were prompt and tasty. The food was disappointing. The truffles eggs were heavy on the truffle oil. Sure their truffle eggs,but a little bit goes along way especially when over salted. Lobster bisque was bland with little depth of flavor and rubbery bits of lobster. Signature items should not be this weak. Salads were nice. My daughters mashed potatoes were very good even if her filet was well over cooked (ordered medium well, steak WELL) her choice not to send it back. The side veggies were over salted, and my steak...65 dollar aged NY must have been from the very end. It didn't have the "A" shape at all. It was profoundly gristly. Not just around the non bone edge or at the top...that can actually be nice to have some seared fat. I am not sure where the chunk of cartilage came from or why there was so much sinue. I rarely don't finish a steak. I should have sent it back instead of attempting steak knife dissection and leaving a 1/4-1/3 of it on the plate. I was glad my wife's steak was to her liking as mine was disappointing! Desert portions were big and tasty. I do think the chocolate sac-du-bon needs a better execution of the HARD chocolate bottom that the mouse sits in. It should be breakable or be served with a fork and steak knife. read more

Both excellent. Great side salad and baked potato. Wonderful wine selections. Mancy's has been a long standing tradition as a person that is from the Toledo area since I can remember. I met my husbands family in Findlay to eat at Mancy's expecting that same level of "Mancy's," that I am use to on Phillips ave. After my experience here in Findlay it seems Mancy's has strayed far from its original quality and fine dining that so many of us have come to expect. My experience here started with a mediocre selection of food that was of moderate quality. The walleye was over fried, the pasta less then appetizing, and the chili bland and served luke warm. On top of the undistinguished food, our service was subpar. Where was the cocktail list, a selection of optimal wine parings, food descriptions that made your server seem like a menu expert and dessert tray? Our server struggled to keep water in the glasses and gracefully act through a couple mishaps such as a hair in one of our entrees, although it was quickly taken care of by the manager. This restaurant should not bear the Mancy's name unless they have settled to cheapening their quality, brand and long standing tradition. Call this place something else like "Mancy's on Main" or step up your game unless you want to continue to disappoint many Toledoans that look forward to Mancy's for special occasions. read more

We go anyway to sit in the bar area, and tables for two in the dining room remain empty our entire time there. We have been here a half dozen time with only one food prep quality complaint. The steaks and appetizers were top notch, especially the steaks....and I am a professed steak snob who has been to many of the nations top steak houses! The bone-in 42 day aged prime New York strip steak with the bone marrow butter topper was spectacular. The salmon appetizer was very good and the portion was twice what was expected. The oysters were very fresh. Adequate wine by the glass selection and a top tier wine by the bottle mix at reasonable market prices. Was at lunch with my brother that I'm visiting in Findlay and we went Mancy`s . We had salmon and spinach salad and Mediterranean quinoa salad . It was so delicious. Had a brandy Alexander drink and cream bruise martini. Fantastic. Our waiter James #2025 was very attentive, personable and aimed to please. Had lunch for first time at any Mancy's restaurant. I ordered the 1/2 sandwich, soup combo. The sandwich was messy but delish. The soup was a cream velvet mushroom artichoke soup. The soup was just ok. Definitely not velvety. Mushrooms more on raw side so it didn't bring out the depth of flavor. Was disappointed I couldn't taste the artichokes. So would not order that again. The price was fair for my lunch($9.00). The coffee was hot and wonderful. The raspberries and chambord cream was nice as always but felt the 10 raspberries with the cream was a little pricey. The plate looked messy with a smear of raspberry coulis underneath the cream bowl and up to the edges of the plate. The server was pleasant but a little too familiar with calling me darlin', sweetheart, and another guest nearby I heard her call "big guy" etc. more in line with a casual diner than an upscale restaurant. She also had difficulty remembering what was in the sandwich and actually asked me to "help me out here" to the guests she seated next to me since she knew I ordered the special! Restaurant was clean, but after all still new. The chandeliers are not sparkly but smeary and clouded. Looking forward to dining in the evening with their delicious ribeye! read more

My husband and I went for the first time for our 9 year anniversary dinner tonight. It was an awesome experience. Our waiter James made sure we had everything we needed. He was able to explain the menu and recommend his favorites. We both had filet mignon that were the best steaks we had in years. Totally worth the money. We would like to see a patio area with live entertainment or even a piano player inside the restaurant.
