Use to order from this restaurant ALL the time. Placed an order today online, ordered beef pho, shrimp vegetable noodle soup, and summer rolls. The shrimp vegetable came with NO vegetables. When I called, I was told the vegetables are the beef broth. I told her when I order chicken vegetable, that comes with vegetables. She said the shrimp does not. She refused to refund just the amount for the shrimp vegetable. Or make this good any other way. I contacted my bank and now I get refunded for the entire amount of order including delivery fee and tip. Oh well. She just had to refund the one item or deliver the vegetables. Here it is by a time line format, so ANYONE (Even your simple Staff) can understand. 20Nov12 - After a long day at Callaway Gardens (~2.5 hours drive South of Atlanta) our family of 7 (4 adults and 3 children) were debating where to eat for dinner. We had been outside walking flower gardens, vegetable gardens, animal shows, walking paths and a 645pm Christmas Light show; WE WERE HUNGRY FOR SOME GOOD FOOD! 745pm: My wife makes a phone call to the restaurant and asks what time the restaurant closed and advised that we were driving in from a distance and wanted to eat in. Mandarin Cafe Staff (female) Informs my wife that the restaurant closes at 1030pm. 745pm - 950pm: I drive over the speed limit (averaging 80 mph+) to make it to the restaurant in time to order and eat prior to the 1030pm closure time. 952pm: As a family, we walk into the front door, observe 2 female staff on separate telephones and we wait patiently. 956pm: Front desk female staff finishes her phone call and asks what we wanted. Obvious to anyone ANYWHERE, we were there to eat!! I informed her that we wanted to sit and order. We were informed, "We don't serve anyone after 10pm." I pointed out that it was 952pm when we walked in the door and we had to wait while she was on the phone, and that it was now 956pm; 4 minutes BEFORE 10pm! We were informed again, the very same statement like a broken CD, "We don't serve anyone after 10pm." We were asked if we wanted to order 'To-Go' and I said, "No, WE want to eat HERE!" We were refused dine-in service. I asked for the Manager and was informed that there was no manager present. I asked where the Manager was and was informed that they were not here. I informed the female staff that my Filipino wife and at least 6 of her Filipina friends visited the establishment weekly, which resulted in several hundreds of dollars of revenue a month and we don't appreciate not being served BEFORE 10pm! Deer in the headlights, no one was home, speaking to a concrete wall; get the message?! 21Nov12 I did some research using State and Local Government public records and found that 'Mr. Chen' was 1/2 partner in the business and lived locally. So i thought to reach out and speak to Mr. Chen to tell him how much we desired to provide his local small business with our Family Revenue. I called the restaurant and a female staffer, (Marie?) answered and I asked to speak to Mr. Chen and was asked why I wanted to speak with Mr. Chen. I informed her that I was a Customer and had an issue I wanted to speak to him about directly. She said, "I cannot pass on the message to Mr. Chen unless you tell me the reason why you want to speak to him." I stated I had an issue that I wanted to speak to him about and was informed again, "I cannot pass on the message to Mr. Chen unless you tell me the reason why you want to speak to him." This was repeated over and over and over, I even provided my phone number and she said, "I won't tell Mr. Chen anything unless you tell me the reason you want to speak to him." I asked for the Manager and was informed, as was done on 20Nov12, that the Manager was not present. I inquired as to where Mr. Chen was and was informed on VACATION; no problem. I inquired as to where the MANAGER was and was informed that they were on VACATION too! I informed the female staffer that I would like a phone call returned when Mr. Chen came back from vacation and was informed again, the same as above. The staff here has ZERO Customer Service skills and they have gotten LAZY and forgetful as to why they are in business. After the phone call on 21Nov12, We have already called ALL of our friends and told them about the situation and have effectively removed hundreds of dollars of revenue from the business! What was once a good place to eat, has gone to the dogs. They have pretty fast delivery and are always friendly when we've ordered. The last few times we stopped in for carry out and the wait was less than 10 minutes each time. Best Chinese food we have found in Cobb county. Very clean (100 on their scorecard). Friendly staff. Good food. Eggroll was fresh tasting and not greasy. My favorite is the Szechuan Chicken, my wife likes the Chicken Lo Mein. read more

Best I have had close to this area, good prices, and very clean when you go in. Generally though I just call it in and pick up. As far as it goes while I am not personally of Asian decent I have had roomates for five and a half year's of my life. Because of that I generally ate at different Asian restaurants and we generally did not order from the house menu. Therefore and because of my roommates I am used to a different grade of this type of food and specifically of Chinese several variations, Japanese, and korean I have a different taste criteria in general. Of course this is in some dishes of the more standard americanized "Chinese" dishes there is not a large amount of difference from one restaraunt to the next. I've ordered from this restaurant before. The food is decent, but today . . . the customer service was EXTREMELY poor. I ordered delivery. I specifically asked for extra sweet and sour packets. Instead, I received packets of duck sauce. When I called, the person on the phone told me their sweet and sour sauce is homemade. Since I asked for sweet and sour sauce in a packet, they sent duck sauce instead. I asked her why didn't they call me to clarify what I wanted (duck sauce and sweet and sour sauce are different). Multiple issues when I went here for the first time today. First issue, I asked (as I typically do) what the most popular thing on the menu was. When going to new places, I always like to sample their specialty. Lady at the cash register says "everything on the menu is good." That wasn't an answer. So things started going downhill. I chose the lo mein combo. Price was significantly higher than the menu indicated. "Is this right?" I asked. "Oh, you didn't say you wanted the combo." I ordered from them tonight and got the chicken pho. They delivered it and as soon as he left, the pho fell through the brown bag and spilled all over my carpet. It was leaking prior...
