Beef Beef or Chicken w. Broccoli & Fried Rice
    Oscar M.

Wow. The beef broccoli was delicious. The serving size was acceptable based on the price. The beef was tender, the sauce was delicious and the vegetables tasted fresh. I also ordered an egg roll and wow the size of that egg roll looks like a burrito. This place knows how to feed you. So if you are hungry, don't want to spend a lot of money and want good Chinese food, this is your place.

The food was all pretty tasty, but what I was disappointed by the most was how much of it was fry battered. I ordered a combination dinner special with fried rice, sweet and sour chicken, chow mein, and fried shrimp. I wasn't expecting my sweet and sour chicken to be fried. The children inside was pretty dry too. I also thought that the chow mein would be noodles but it was just some mixed veggies with fried noodles. The fried shrimp was mostly just batter with very little shrimp in it.

Sent to my contacts in China and they said they had never seen this "Egg Roll" before.

The food was horrendous. Touted as authentic Chinese cuisine but when I sent it to my nationally born friends who have lived in China their entire life, they had never seen food like this. The "authentic egg roll" was foul and tasted like all of the restaurant's leftovers deep fried. Do not go there if you are looking for true Chinese cuisine.

My search for a fantastic authentic Chinese restaurant has been long and arduous. BUT...Mandarin House is wonderful. It's about an hour away, but whenever I need a fix on good Chinese food they are a Go To! Some of their meals are traditional American Chinese. But if you ask the server you can get the real stuff and it's cooked with good Chinese spices, well flavored, spicy if you want and just YUMMY! It's so hard to choose when you know the meal will be spectacular, so we ordered more than we needed because left overs are so good. It give the sauces time to meld and the flavor is so good. We ordered twice cooked spicy pork, pepper onion beef, pork stomach (cold). All three were very well prepared, spicy without burning the mouth, and flavorful. We will return!
