We stopped here for lunch today. I have never shown up to a buffet when it first opens and I don't think I will ever again. We were seated in the very back of one of the sections and noticed it was freezing. My Kid said he was fine so we stayed at the table they sat us at. But from the time we sat down until we left, 4 other tables complained about how cold it was and asked to be moved. Once they had our drink order we went up to the buffet. Now if you advertise you open at a certain time and you seat people you would think the food would be ready! Over half the stations were empty and the foods that were ready were cold?!? I'm really loosing my love for Chinese buffets.. kids usually love this stuff but even my kids was like sorry Dad I feel bad because for you paying and me not eating much.

Surprisingly good buffet--the interior is very large too so can support big parties. I have to say, the sky painted ceiling with the butterflies is a little bit cheesy but I also loved it. :p They have a variety of food to choose from so you will definitely find something for you here. If you are a dessert person, you will not be disappointed because they have two rows of dessert from apple tarts to cheesecakes to mango pudding and a lot of ice cream. We went during the holiday season so they also had red velvet frozen yogurt but it wasn't that great. Also, don't forget about their cotton candy machine!!! Overall, the food was good so definitely go on an empty stomach!

    Disgusting!

Ordered over $100 worth of takeout and found a worm/maggot in the food. Absolutely disgusted. Will never eat from here again. Will be filing a complaint with public health. Mandarin is clearly cutting corners when it comes to food safety. Unacceptable!

Honestly my first and last time going to any Mandarin. We've ordered food from them before for work events and the food was so bad. I was hoping for something a tiny bit better at the restaurant but honestly only like a tad bit more fresh. We reserved a room for 50 guests for a work event and they only prepared enough for 20-30. Throughout the dinner we kept having to ask them for more tables and chairs. The presentation of the dishes itself was unappetizing. I picked out a few things to try. The noodles were cold, oily, soft, and tasteless. The chicken was like chicken jerky - dry and tough. The dessert selection was quite impressive compared to everything else though. From crême brulées to dipped strawberries to cottan candy. I basically had dessert for dinner.

I like the variety they have but their price is little high compared to other buffets.

When we had first arrived, we were told that it would be a two-hour wait, and that we would need to have a pager with us at all times that would be used to notify us once a table was ready. We weren't able to get a pager immediately as they were all being used therefore, we had to wait at least fifteen minutes before we were able to get one. Once we had that pager in hand, we waited about one hour for our table, which was actually not as long as we had expected. Upon entering the restaurant via an escalator from the first floor, we were pleased to see how picturesque it was. With the large windows showcasing the horse racing at the time, along with the tables that boasted their own private television screens, we were impressed with how wonderful and inviting everything looked. Upon being seated, we were given programs on the betting available for the evening's races, which was detailed with everything we needed to know. We also noticed that there was a middle-aged woman coming around, asking us if we were interested in placing bets during our dining experience. The diners went wild during the races, which created an exciting, yet sometimes, loud atmosphere. In terms of the dining, I was pleasantly surprised with how many options were available. Since it was only $12.95 (with a Winners Circle Card), I was blown away at how much food was placed within the buffet area, with an area dedicated to bread with a variety of spreads, another area with salads and other cold appetizers (such as artichokes, cold cuts, cheese, etc.), a hot table (with such items as lasagna, pizza, chicken, fish, and more), along with a dessert section, which boasted a wide variety of desserts, and a few dishes of fruit. All of the items were well-prepared, and everything tasted fantastic, with each item at the hot table coming onto my plate hot (temperature-wise), which is rare to find in a buffet. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience at this buffet, and would highly-recommend it to anyone who wants delicious food, at a low price. The only thing that I didn't like was the waiting period, and how slow it was, considering that many guests usually sit there the entire evening, watching the races and eating for hours on end. Although this is definitely the idea of the trackside buffet, it could have been the reason why we were so delayed in getting to our table. Nevertheless, it was worth the wait, and will definitely be going again!

We went as a group of 7 with a reservation. For some reason, instead of seating a larger group at the stand alone (but combinable tables) at the front of the restaurant, they decided to sit us at a booth that holds six with the +1 in a chair in the pathway to the bathroom. Ordering food is done on 2 pieces of paper - one for sushi and one for all the other food. Unlike many other AYCE restaurants, there is no description of the food and there's no iPad to see a photo of what you might be ordering. It makes it very difficult to select, and the waiters are really not around to ask questions. They wanted all 7 of us to use the single paper. I explained to the waiter that I wasn't at a restaurant to do math and add up all the pieces and orders and go person by person. Could we possibly get a second set of papers so we could split the table into 2 groups? Yes, but with great difficulty. The food started to come. Overall, very fast from paper to food. So, where did they put the food? Right in front of me as one if the people sitting at the end. They would place plate after plate in front of me. Often with no explanation of what food it was. Apparently, it is the person at the end of the table's job to announce the food and identify the person(s) who it belongs to. So, with the number of dishes ordered, there was little opportunity for me to eat. There was also no place for me to place my food on the table in front of me. It was beyond frustrating. Along the way, they began forgetting to deliver food that was ordered and they began delivering food we did not order. I believe the restaurant should have placed us at the tables at the front of the restaurant. All large groups would benefit front this and all would be able to enjoy the food.

Wasn't a fan of the shrimp, which they serve whole. It tastes fine and is seasoned nicely, but de-shelling is kind of a bother. The Kimchi is great, and their system of bringing out the raw food in small stackable dishes is easy to pass around and share. The only complaint I have is about their grill cleaning. After you're done one round, they shut down the grill, wait for it to cool (5 minutes), remove the dirty grill top (5 minutes), and wait to bring out a clean one (10 minutes). 20 minutes of waiting to continue eating aren't just excessive, it's not smart for business. By the time we were done waiting for the new grill top, we were starting to lose our appetite. If you're getting the all-you-can-eat option, watch out for that. It could mean you have more trouble finishing the second round of food. As with most a.y.c.e. options, you have to pay for what you don't finish, so some part of me wonders if this isn't some sort of sneaky strategy to make you full faster. Either way, great place - clean, delicious, and the staff was friendly.
