The tuna is discolored and not fresh. The sushi is slimy (old), chicken wings dry, don't waste your time on this location.

I've been to 5 Mandarine Restaurants in Ontario in the past 5 days, and so far this is the worst one. I asked for water and they pulled the water from the next table over and put it in my table. The Giant Surf clam was slimy (old & past date) the tuna was discolored, again (old & past date). I sampled the buffalo chicken wings, as I have for the past 4 days in other Mandarine Restaurants, the wings were DRY, over cooked and I would bet, they were left over from the day before, thrown in the oil and then served. I can't get a napkin, server said "can I bring you a steak knife", but then forgot. Many servers walking around but nobody helping. I spoke to the front of house manager and when I explained the dry wings, the reason was, "maybe we got a bad batch from our supplier". I will NOT come back to this location.

Great value for lunch at $26 with prime rib, sashimi, and a great variety of other dishes. Drinks only $2.50 with free refills.

I recently visited Mandarin Restaurant in Toronto with old friend's family , and it was an excellent experience! They took us there, and we were delighted by the variety and quality of the food. From hot dishes and cold dishes to a sushi bar, pizza, and desserts, there were plenty of options to choose from, and everything was delicious. As it was my birthday week, the staff went above and beyond to make it special for me. They brought out a little cupcake with a candle and even made a photo magnet as a keepsake! The thoughtful gesture truly made my day. Restaurant is clean, the food was good, and the service was outstanding. Will come again next time!

It's the Year of the Rabbit! Time for a family buffet lunch at the Mandarin. Terrific staff service. Great selection of foods. Casual atmosphere and a delicious meal.

Mandarin never skips a beat, probably more consistent than the pope himself Mandarin has been open for decades and still serves the same things. The classics remain classics. Tip: don't come after 7pm, this is the time where food service slows down and refills happen less. Say goodbye to medium prime rib you paid for. Food: 3.8/5 Service: 3.5/5 Ambiance: 4/5 -‐----The Best Seafood: classic mussels and shrimp combo. They're fresh but a mess to eat. Salad Bar: so refreshing, all the salads there are good. Creme Brulee + Chocolate Dipped Stawberries: the most worth it experience you can find Garlic broccoli: perfected skill of the perfect al Dante broccoli. Prime rib + mash gravy: forget the keg Mandarin mash all the way, make sure you come early for the perfect slice of prime rib. -----The Worst Anything fried and covered in sauce: it's mushy, and basically Chinese mall food. Pass The Ice Cream: bland boring, and meant for kids only. What happened to mint chocolate chip? None of the flavors are good. The Sushi: the effort to make them costs more than the rolls themselves. Quality is meh The Bathroom: yeah it wasn't clean, clearly a mess nobody had the time to deal with. Overall I had a Great time dining, this childhood favourite is a Great treat and fun for all ages. I can't wait to be back

Mandarin buffet has always been our go-to spot for indulging in Asian cuisine and with covid, it hasn't been possible. Even if it were, I wouldn't eat in any buffet at this time. I was craving Chinese food the other day and ordered delivery. They deliver for free on orders of $20+. I wanted different dishes but since I was the only one eating, ended up getting Kung Pao shrimp and the shrimp combo for one consisting of two spring rolls, torpedo shrimp, shrimp with almonds and vegetables and shrimp fried rice. It was pretty filling. I also received almond shortbread cookies on the house. They were very good! I enjoyed my meal and there was enough leftover for the next day.

Great food and great location closed to home. They have lots different food you can pick on. What I always look is the devil eggs, I know I have eggs allergy but I always love they devil eggs. Their roast beef really to die for.... Nom... Nom..Nom...'! For the dessert you should try the waffle with vanilla ice cream with Berry topping

We made reservations in case but hardly a line unlike the experience at Dragon legend( had reservations but line up for it was still out the door and around building) It was busy but lots of food at the hot tables being refilled often, beverages refreshed and dishes from our table promptly removed. Service was attentive in the dining rooms and friendly by the hostess station. Lunch had enough items to be happy with, but it seemed like they altered the BBQ/Grill station to breakfast foods, like bacon and fried eggs and had a few empty slots where I remember had items previously. Highs: -Black peppered beef cubes very very tender and flavourful - fried noodles on point - tofu pudding dessert had a gingered sugar syrup to drizzle on top Lows: -peking duck seemed more hard instead of crispy skin - fried egg Left the restaurant very stuffed, kids were happy. They felt this buffet was decent and had more flavour than the buffet on Royal Caribbean. Was worth the trip here today, would return again.

Upon entering the restaurant I was greeted to a very clean and modern ambience that reminded me kind of like some of the big buffets in Las Vegas. Very cool setup where they have 3 self serve fountain drinks which is included in your buffet price. In the middle they have a grilling area where they are grilling Basa fish, salmon, chicken, sirloin steak. The steak was amazing they put this butter, garlic garnish on top that makes it so delicious. I had 8 of these steaks this evening! They also had a stir fry, soup noodle where you can choose your own ingredients, different vegetables and protein and carbs for them to either turn into a stir fry or soup noodle. They had plenty of ice cream to choose from as well as a soft serve ice cream machine. The service provided by the employees were top notch, so friendly, and helpful. The sushi rice was overcooked, and the sushi kept falling apart every time I tried to pick it up. The food prepared at the live cooking station was very watery, and the salmon was dry and lacked flavor. The customer service also did not meet my expectations, which made the overall experience even more disappointing. The chef's cooking felt rushed and, in my opinion, lacked the care and attention I usually hope for when dining out. Even the dessert was a letdown. My 9-year-old commented that the ice cream toppings were disappointing, which was surprising considering how simple that part of the meal should be. To make things even more heartbreaking, this was my birthday. I wasn't expecting a big celebration or for the staff to sing to me, but I had hoped for a small gesture, a simple slice of cake with a candle or even just a sincere "Happy Birthday" from the waitress or a manager. I understand restaurants aren't obligated to do this, but a little hospitality on a special occasion can leave a lasting positive impression. Instead, I left feeling disappointed. I traveled all the way from Scarborough to celebrate here, and unfortunately, it will be my last visit. Positive: Unlimited lemonade Great ice machine. Pizza was "all right"

When we had first arrived, we were told that it would be a two-hour wait, and that we would need to have a pager with us at all times that would be used to notify us once a table was ready. We weren't able to get a pager immediately as they were all being used therefore, we had to wait at least fifteen minutes before we were able to get one. Once we had that pager in hand, we waited about one hour for our table, which was actually not as long as we had expected. Upon entering the restaurant via an escalator from the first floor, we were pleased to see how picturesque it was. With the large windows showcasing the horse racing at the time, along with the tables that boasted their own private television screens, we were impressed with how wonderful and inviting everything looked. Upon being seated, we were given programs on the betting available for the evening's races, which was detailed with everything we needed to know. We also noticed that there was a middle-aged woman coming around, asking us if we were interested in placing bets during our dining experience. The diners went wild during the races, which created an exciting, yet sometimes, loud atmosphere. In terms of the dining, I was pleasantly surprised with how many options were available. Since it was only $12.95 (with a Winners Circle Card), I was blown away at how much food was placed within the buffet area, with an area dedicated to bread with a variety of spreads, another area with salads and other cold appetizers (such as artichokes, cold cuts, cheese, etc.), a hot table (with such items as lasagna, pizza, chicken, fish, and more), along with a dessert section, which boasted a wide variety of desserts, and a few dishes of fruit. All of the items were well-prepared, and everything tasted fantastic, with each item at the hot table coming onto my plate hot (temperature-wise), which is rare to find in a buffet. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience at this buffet, and would highly-recommend it to anyone who wants delicious food, at a low price. The only thing that I didn't like was the waiting period, and how slow it was, considering that many guests usually sit there the entire evening, watching the races and eating for hours on end. Although this is definitely the idea of the trackside buffet, it could have been the reason why we were so delayed in getting to our table. Nevertheless, it was worth the wait, and will definitely be going again!

Walking in, we were greeted with a smile. The interior of the restaurant was spacious with a private feel since they had areas sectioned off from one another. We ordered the Japchae (5/5), Boneless Yangnyum Galbi (4/5), Pork Belly (4/5). Japchae was delicious with a hint of smokey flavour to it. The noodles were chewy and complemented well with the savoury flavours of bulgogi. The vegetables added a nice crunch to every bite. The mushrooms added a chewy and fun texture to the dish. Boneless Yangnyum Galbi was so tender. Its marinade was on the sweet side which we weren't really a fan of but we still enjoyed the dish. Pork Belly was also tender. It was thinly sliced which was quite a let down since we typically prefer pork belly sliced a bit thicker. The BBQ we ordered came with two bowls of rice and lettuce (non-refillable), ssamjang and sesame oil with black pepper and salt for dipping, and some side dishes that were refillable: kimchi, bean sprouts, cucumbers and sweet potato. The overall quality of the ingredients, especially the meats, were great. It was pretty telling how much the cooks enjoyed prepping and cooking the dishes. This place is on the pricier side which is reasonable for the quality of their food. The portions are also reasonable for their price-points. I'd come back on a special occasion and/or when I'm craving japchae. The servers we had were attentive, checking in every so often to clear our dishes and change our grills.
