If you're even thinking about trying Yori House, stop thinking and just go…read more The bao buns alone are worth the trip -- unbelievably soft and fluffy, with that perfect pillowy texture you hope for but rarely get. The pork bao in particular had this beautiful char that added just the right smoky depth without overpowering the sweetness. Absolute standout. The ramen was exceptional. Rich, balanced, and clearly made with care. My tonkatsu was beautifully caramelized -- that golden crust giving way to tender, juicy pork -- while my girlfriend's chicken katsu was crispy, perfectly cooked, and somehow still light. No sogginess, no shortcuts -- just done right. The atmosphere strikes that sweet spot between cozy and modern, and the service was genuinely warm and attentive without hovering. One of my favorite touches? The large visual menu on the wall. For anyone who isn't super familiar with this style of cuisine, it makes ordering approachable and stress-free. Such a smart move. Yori House nails flavor, texture, presentation, and hospitality. Can't recommend it strongly enough -- we'll absolutely be back.

The menu is very interesting with everything Korean, Japanese and Thai inspired from fried rice to tacos to noodle dishes. Service was very good and though the restaurant is small, it is well appointed. We ordered edamame and a pork bun for appetizers. The edamame were served lightly salted and warm and the pork bun wonderful and flavorful. I highly recommend. For a main dish, I ordered the pad Thai with shrimp. The only complaint I have is that the dish was pretty salty. The shrimp were delicious and the portions for everything were generous. We ordered spicy fried rice to take home and I'm so glad we did. Sorry but no photo of the pork bun as we dove into it as soon as we got it.

The…read morerestaurant is very small (about 4 tables that can seat up to 4) but they do have their own parking lot which is nice. **Don't quote me cause I didn't ask or see but I don't think they have high chairs so my toddler just had to sit on the chair which wasn't a problem for us but if you have a little one it might be better to order take out instead. ** Service was friendly and fast. We ordered the veggie pancake, yukgaejang and jjajangmyeon. The veggie pancake was filling for 2 people and it was nice and crispy. The yukgaejang was fine, I do wish it was slightly more flavorful, I felt it was SLIGHTLY under seasoned but the meat was very tender. As for the jjajangmyeon, my husband enjoyed it and said the flavor was nice but the texture could've been better. The banchan was great. Overall, I enjoyed my meal and it was good, not as good as NYC but comparable to the other Korean restaurants here. I would come back again.

Personally, I would only reorder the seafood pancake. --- A road trip was planned around dining at Chorong House since I was so excited for Korean pancakes. The building has a small side lot which is perfect for ~ 7 cars. The interior is smaller, with ~ 5 tables. There are restrooms for each gender, though slim. We ordered the (1) beef kimbob, (2) dukboki (Korean spicy and sweet rice cakes), and (3) Korean-style seafood pancake. 1. The beef kimbob (10 pieces) was a little bit of a letdown since only 4 pieces had any substantial beef. 4 didn't have any beef, and the other 2 had tiny slivers (and were only rice and lettuce). A little dry, I wish the filling was pickled or had more flavor. 2. The dukboki was a small serving, and had cabbage and onions as well. I wish there were fishcakes with the serving. Overall, it was pretty standard. 3. The korean seafood pancake was big, fluffy, crispy, and stuffed FULL of filling. I was really happy with the pancake, even if it felt a little undercooked. Awesome flavor, good sauce, and large size. We took our leftovers home. It was by far my favorite thing. The restaurant was very obviously run by a small duo team. Wait time of getting food was normal, but the wait time of getting the check was long if you missed the "window" when they were in the front of house and went to the back to start cooking the new table's meal. Overall, a chill, no-frills dining experience if you're in the Syracuse area. I'd avoid the kimbob.

I think the marinated beef was my favorite, especially when dipped in the sweet soy sauce. It was packed with flavor and cooked perfectly. She was also so sweet to write down everything on a sticky note that had anything I'm allergic to which is always appreciated. We did both Kpot and BBQ and glad we got to do both. I really enjoy the buffet/all you can eat style since you're in total control of how much or how little you choose, especially when trying something new. I did try a lot of new things while here and I think it's the perfect way to do it! I made a ramen bowl and also grilled a lot of different meats - our favorite was the spicy pork belly! We got up for seconds, thirds, and fourths bc it was so good!! There is also a section of creating your own sauce which was fun too! You could definitely make a variety of different sauce creations, maybe some sweet, some spicy, some more or less flavorful, there are no limits! They also had a guide above the sauce line to help you follow the ingredients if you're looking for some inspiration. I would definitely come back again! I wish they had more dessert options.

It comes to your table sizzling, then you dress it with as much gochujang pepper/sesame oil sauce as you like (it traditionally comes with a bottle of sauce so you can add to yoir taste), and mix it all up. The hot pot makes the bottom of the rice nice and crispy. I get mine with tofu instead of beef and the portion is very generous. It comes with 3 banchan (Korean small side dishes) and miso soup. My only wish/suggestion for improvement is that they should offer more variety in their banchan. Service is fast but I'm usually here outside peak hours. Ambiance is simple but always clean. My dinner bill with a beer and a hot tea came to $26 which is a good value imo (my leftover filled a to-go container).
