    OO KPOT Beef Hot Pot

Very fun dining experience! We decided on the bbq and hot pot which were both phenomenal. There is something so fun about making your own soup right in front of you! The waitress switched our grill out right when we needed it so we were never waiting around to make our next dish. The options at the buffet were great, I just wish they had some more fish! Everyone seemed to be having a great time - its definitely fun for everyone no matter the age! Music is never too loud, seating is far enough apart so you're not bothered by others conversations. It's great!

If you have never been to K-Pot, you need to stop what you're doing right now and get there. Hands down, this is one of my top 5 restaurants in Syracuse, NY. I love the atmosphere, the energy, and the overall experience. This is a Korean BBQ-style restaurant where you cook your own food right at the table. While they do have a small section with already-prepared items like rice, French fries, and a salad bar, the main attraction is definitely the grill. What really stands out to me is how kid-friendly this place is. If you have younger children who may not want the grilled items, they offer chicken nuggets, fries, rice, and other familiar foods, which makes this a great option for families. (Already cooked) This is the perfect spot for birthday dinners, family nights out, girls' night, guys' night, or even just lunch on a random Tuesday. I love the interactive aspect of cooking your own food--it makes dining here fun and memorable. They also have a flavor chart on the wall that shows you exactly what sauces and ingredients to mix together to get different flavor profiles, like hot and spicy, savory, or sweet. I love that little detail. They offer ramen as well, which I haven't tried yet because ramen fills me up quickly and I want to get my money's worth from the grill. But next time, I'm definitely trying both. They also have a combo option if you want ramen and grill together. It's buffet-style, and it's around $30 per person, which is very reasonable for the quality and experience. It's definitely inexpensive for what you get. The staff is always friendly and helpful too. If I ever had to recommend one restaurant in Syracuse, this would be it. No question. K-Pot Korean BBQ & Hot Pot

Meats on grill and snow crabs in my herbaceous soup

We chose both the broths and the grill for our dinner meals. Mine was the herbaceous, my husband chose the spicy one and our daughter chose the mushroom. We tried each other's broths and I clearly won. Service was all you can eat but the dirty dishes did pile up as our server was MIA vs. other servers. The place was clean and the offerings were abundant, allowing for choices of seafood and meats. We all liked the rib eye on the grill and also the ribs. Personal preference for my husband was the beef tongue. Neither my daughter or I wanted that but I did like the ocean calamari (further down the line) and she liked the lobster balls though they didn't have real lobster. Snow crabs were good. We feasted and then rolled ourselves out.

Had a great time here, and ate too much! Self service from a buffet to get your ingredients, then cook at your table. Our server pretty much ignored us the whole evening, but we made do. Did notice a different server being attentive to their tables. Decor is tired and could stand a cleaning.

My lunch with friends was very good. None of us had been here so we were seated and the server gave us instructions. We decided to get the "grilled" option. You can do Grill or Broth or both, but the entire table has to get the same option. We chose our proteins and sauces and weren't quite sure if we were supposed to get the veggies or not. Turns out we were able to get vegetables along with the protein. Everyone is served white rice on the table. We had a lot of fun trying pork, beef, chicken, shrimp and a mild white fish. The meats were marinated and very tasty. There were a few items for dessert that you might see on a Chinese buffet...but I passed on those. There was also some fresh fruit which was nice after the meal. Our server was nice but I wish she had offered to change our grill, as you can imagine, with 4 of us sharing it, it becomes coated with marinade pretty quickly. I'm looking forward to my next visit when I get to try the broth.

If you've never been to a kbbq spot, it's worth a try! It's a fun, interactive way to enjoy a meal and relatively decent price for how much food you access. I'd say skip the drinks truthfully. Neither of the cocktails we tried felt worth the added cost. Stick to water and be sure to come hungry!

Yesterday went for lunch with friends. I didn't know what to expect but our server was very nice and explained everything. We chose to do just the Korean bbq. Everything looked very fresh and had a good variety. My favorite was the marinated beef (spicy but not overly hot). I also tried the shrimp, pork and chicken. We were given a bowl of white rice to go along with the entrees. I wish I had gotten some vegetables to grill with the meat but I didn't. I definitely will next time. By the end of our lunch the grill was very messy so I think we should have seasoned it more with oil so things would not stick. That would be a good tip to have the server give customers especially when it's their first time. They had some fresh fruit and cream puffs for desert. They ran out of ice cream cups. The service was good and the place is very clean and pleasant. I would like to go back and try the hot pot.

When I first moved to Syracuse, I found myself missing the vibrant Korean BBQ scene I had enjoyed in Northern Virginia. So, when KPot opened, I knew I had to give it a try, hoping it would live up to the high standards I was used to. Now, KPot has become my go-to spot for Korean BBQ! One of the standout features is their sauce station, where you can mix and match flavors to create the perfect dipping sauce for your meat or a delicious drizzle for your rice. It's a small touch that makes a big difference in personalizing your meal. I also really enjoy when they have music playing at a loud - but not too loud - level because it adds to the atmosphere. If you've never been to a Korean BBQ restaurant with a built-in grill at each table, don't worry--the staff is happy to guide you through the experience. Plus, each table has a helpful cooking guide that lists the recommended cook times for different meats. My personal favorites? The bulgogi and garlic pork belly--both packed with incredible flavor. While I'm not the biggest hot pot fan, KPot offers it as an add-on for just $5 per person. If you're up for it, I'd recommend trying both the lunch and dinner menus; dinner includes a premium selection of meats while still featuring all the staples available at lunch. For those dining with kids or picky eaters, there's a small selection of fried foods like French fries and chicken nuggets, making it a great spot for families. At one point, we found ourselves coming here weekly for lunch--it's hard to resist at just $21.99 for all-you-can-eat! We usually visit right when they open during the week, and the restaurant is always spotless. If you're looking for the freshest buffet experience in Syracuse, KPot is the place to be.

Great experience! We enjoyed trying something different and being able to experiment with different ways to cook a new items to try. It's very clean and the staff is very friendly.

Good value, good quality food, great service l except seating was a bit slow even though Plenty of tables. Clean and comfortable. Plenty of food options. Definitely coming back.

Stopped here for dinner on a Thursday night while in town for work. Unbeknownst to us, this location was right next door to our hotel which was incredibly convenient. We were sat immediately and the staff was very friendly and attentive. This is yet another version of KPOTs we have been to where there is no tablet, there's no waitress ordering, but a buffet of the raw meat and vegetable ingredients to go and select for your table. I am not sure how I like that - maybe bc I'm a list type human and need to see it on a menu or ordering device - but anyway. BIGGEST RED FLAG AND WHY IT GOT A 3? *** THEY DO NOT HAVE YUM YUM SAUCE HERE *** When it comes to these places and having white people like me - THAT IS A MUST HAVE ANS A BUILDING BLOCK FOR A GREAT MEAL! I was so discouraged that I door dashed a bottle of it while we were there. Yes, I'm serious. Meats and vegetables were good - standard experience.

Must stop spot for hot pot!…read more I have always been a fan of red chili, but I've finally had the chance to do hot pot, and it was amazing. I try not to ever be the person showing up too close to closing time, but we were craving it and made the decision to go there and eat as fast as we could or else order to go to minimize being "those people". Well they were relatively busy for a Monday night, and yet they served us quickly and kindly as usual. We even said we know there's other groups here but we will be as fast as possible and they were very kind and patient with us regardless! As for the food- the lo mein my partner got was of course delicious and reliable. My hot pot was incredible, and with ridiculously generous portions of food. The restaurant as always is clean, pleasant, and of course fun to stop on the way in or out and say hello to the turtles and fishes. Always worth a stop in to this great restaurant!

I did go there and it was great! But I found myself having one additional dinner time without plans, so I came here as well. Walking in, I noticed what appeared to be a common Asian Massage Parlor next door, yo uget to it via the entry way that bring you here as well. Kinda odd, but it didn't bother me. Walking into this restaurant, it's very nicely laid out and beautifully décor'd! The servers and staff spoke great English and were very helpful, especially when answering questions about their menu. I started with their Garlic Cucumbers, but I asked for them to be spicy and Wow, they did a GREAT job with them! They weren't very hot, but so much spiciness and flavor - I loved them! Next up was to get their cumin chicken. They do cumin style in all their proteins, which makes for some great options. I chose their basic fried rice to come with this. The fried rice and cumin chicken were both amazing... Perfectly spiced and loaded with flavor. There were several Szechuan peppercorns in the dish, which added to the aroma and flavor of the dish. Overall - I really like this dinner! While I do feel Jianghu is slightly better, this is amazing as well!

The ordering experience was one of the most bizarre and frustrating I've had in recent years. But the food itself was delicious. Since we were driving with young wailing kids in the backseat, we called the restaurant 20 minutes out to place our order. The lady who picked up the phone told me in Chinese that the restaurant was very busy, so I should place the order when I was 10 minutes away, or better yet, when I was at the restaurant. I tried to explain that the whole point of placing the order by phone was to avoid waiting, but she had put a male Chinese-speaking colleague on the phone, who told me to just order at the restaurant because he was too busy to take phone orders. With that, he promptly hung up on me. Ten minutes out, I called again and tried to order eggplant in garlic sauce and fish in chili oil. The same man I had spoken to before had tried to get me to just place the order when I arrived at the restaurant, but I again told him that we were trying to avoid waiting for our food since we had young children (now screaming) in the car. He reluctantly took my order (I was told that my third request--vermicelli with spiced minced pork--was not available). Frustratingly, when we arrived at the restaurant, they had not even started cooking our food, so we had to wait about 15 minutes. The food itself was superb. The eggplant is some of the best I've had. The fish in chili oil was also wonderfully tender, though there was a slightly higher ratio of Napa cabbage to fish than what I've usually experienced for this dish at other restaurants. The interior of the restaurant was modest and cafeteria-like. I can't comment on the service quality for dining in. If it weren't for the rough phone ordering experience, I would be keen on ordering takeout or dining in there again.

We ordered the (1) beef kimbob, (2) dukboki (Korean spicy and sweet rice cakes), and (3) Korean-style seafood pancake. 1. The beef kimbob (10 pieces) was a little bit of a letdown since only 4 pieces had any substantial beef. 4 didn't have any beef, and the other 2 had tiny slivers (and were only rice and lettuce). A little dry, I wish the filling was pickled or had more flavor. 2. The dukboki was a small serving, and had cabbage and onions as well. I wish there were fishcakes with the serving. Overall, it was pretty standard. 3. The korean seafood pancake was big, fluffy, crispy, and stuffed FULL of filling. I was really happy with the pancake, even if it felt a little undercooked. Awesome flavor, good sauce, and large size. We took our leftovers home. It was by far my favorite thing. The restaurant was very obviously run by a small duo team. Wait time of getting food was normal, but the wait time of getting the check was long if you missed the "window" when they were in the front of house and went to the back to start cooking the new table's meal. Overall, a chill, no-frills dining experience if you're in the Syracuse area. I'd avoid the kimbob.

I do also wish they had more veggies in the dish as well but the ones that were in there were well cooked. It would have been nice if there was more eggplant and hopefully also some bamboo shoots as well. Finally, for dessert I had the warm chocolate cake.
