To-go for Korean food. I came here around 4:30pm. The restaurant is small and wasn't busy. The parking lot is a bit strange. There are 2 doors to go inside: front and side. I got Dak Kal Bi and Den Jang Chigae. They tasted good, and very spicy. The kimchi I got as side dish is quite small compared to other restaurant I've been to. And wish there were more pork in Den Jang Chigae. Price is a bit higher as well. Staff was friendly

Great place for Korean food! It has only a small space that can host probably 4 tables of guests, but the food is amazing. Highly recommend their soon tofu soup and galbi, they taste great! Our order took around 10-15 minutes waiting time, it was worthwhile! There was smell of strong Korean food at the instant I walked in. There were many Korean people dining in, a sign for good, authentic Korean food!

You may think that this place serves Chinese or Japanese food. But Chorong. What to get: Yuk Gae Jang! Why: It's not Yuk! What else: Either choright or chorong. If you think this place sucks... chorong. The soup here was really good. It was a large-sized portion and it filled me up. It was a little more than $10, so a little more than I like to pay for my Korean dishes, but I really enjoyed it. Just about a 5 star rating, then. Really lovely service. I got it late at night when they were nearly closing. The really funny part is that I came back a little late to pick it up and they were worried that I wasn't coming, so they actually called my phone looking for me. And texted me as well! But when I did get back they were really nice about it and I apologized. And then enjoyed the delicious spicy beef soup (YGJ) that I always get. And I know you may think I then got romantic with the friendly girl who served me. But Chorong.

Amazing Korean food in the SYR. This is as authentic as you can get; it's literally someones house. But they serve up yummy tasting food with the homely experience. Aside from the pics in this post we also had the Kalbi beef, fried whole mackerel, and beef bulgogi

This spot is a hidden gem!!!!. Umi, our server and owner's daughter was amazing and friendly. The food tasted like my Korean friend's moms home cooking and the kimchi was some of the best I've ever had. The bathroom was very clean and the atmosphere really makes you feel at home. I would literally go back to Syracuse just to visit this spot again!!

Great food! We are regulars here for the pepper pancake and beef bulgogi. They consistently provide good service and great tasting food. I highly recommend this place!

Meh ... I had better Korean ... I know I am going to get a lot of heat and puns like "what do you know ... Chorong", but bring it on, I kinda like the heat since it's cold in Syracuse. First the location: Chorong house is located in a stand-alone plain building that looks decrepit and sketchy, especially at night. Unwelcoming would be a good adjective. The interior is not spectacular either. Very small space with 3-4 tables. Definitely a mom&pop joint, which is fine, in fact, I LOVE these small time restaurants because the food usually compensates for the appearance ... but chorong! The food: I wasn't impressed by the appetizer dishes ... There was mac n cheese?! The authenticity is beyond me. The one small scoop of mac n cheese wasn't even good! May I suggest adding in mozzarella stick to enhance the authenticity of the Korean cuisine. The spicy beef stew was watery af. The egg was already poached when they served it...I want to crack my own egg yo. There was a bare minimum of substance in the soup ... a few chunk of beef and a few sprouts. The seafood pancake was decent. The price tag doesn't justify the quality of the food nor the ambiance of the place. If this was $, I would have gave some leniency. The gratuity is also automatically added to the bill, which I don't appreciate. I will decide how much I will tip dammit! I was hyped for this place due to the reviews, but I am very disappointed. With other good Korean places around, this will be at the bottom of my list ... if it makes the list at all.

The hot pot makes the bottom of the rice nice and crispy. I get mine with tofu instead of beef and the portion is very generous. It comes with 3 banchan (Korean small side dishes) and miso soup. My only wish/suggestion for improvement is that they should offer more variety in their banchan. Service is fast but I'm usually here outside peak hours. Ambiance is simple but always clean. My dinner bill with a beer and a hot tea came to $26 which is a good value imo (my leftover filled a to-go container).

You could definitely make a variety of different sauce creations, maybe some sweet, some spicy, some more or less flavorful, there are no limits! They also had a guide above the sauce line to help you follow the ingredients if you're looking for some inspiration. I would definitely come back again! I wish they had more dessert options.

This was cheese melted on top, not even a sauce or powder,, and that does make a difference for the dish as it had no flavor. The stone bowl was unusual in that it was very flat which created a better , I'm not sure what the right word in Korean is, crispy rice layer (what they call soccarrat with paella). I did find a person who visited this one and another one, Jianghu Café and so I asked her if I could only visit one, which do I do, and she said Jianhghu was the winner winner Szechuan lunch. I did go there and it was great! But I found myself having one additional dinner time without plans, so I came here as well. Walking in, I noticed what appeared to be a common Asian Massage Parlor next door, yo uget to it via the entry way that bring you here as well. Kinda odd, but it didn't bother me. Walking into this restaurant, it's very nicely laid out and beautifully décor'd! The servers and staff spoke great English and were very helpful, especially when answering questions about their menu. I started with their Garlic Cucumbers, but I asked for them to be spicy and Wow, they did a GREAT job with them! They weren't very hot, but so much spiciness and flavor - I loved them! Next up was to get their cumin chicken. They do cumin style in all their proteins, which makes for some great options. I chose their basic fried rice to come with this. The fried rice and cumin chicken were both amazing... Perfectly spiced and loaded with flavor. There were several Szechuan peppercorns in the dish, which added to the aroma and flavor of the dish. I also ordered the Orange Chicken and the General Tso's Chicken (extra spicy), but neither dish was spicy at all, or fresh tasting. All chicken dishes were drowned in bland sauce.
