This place food is soooooo bad u have to be homeless to eat here‼ dont waste ur time here. They used to have the fish strips on the catfish sandwich now they only have the fish tail endings on the fish sandwich so there's no more meat on the fish sandwich. I so wanted this place to be good. I was like looking forward to some good old fashioned fish and chips, but my excitement was very short lived. I was served these rolled up pieces of flour and seasoning, that had no fish in them. Just rolled up flour (did they run out of fish?) Fries were hot but not fresh, just frozen and reheated. I do not know what in the world was going on, but I asked for cod and I got catfish. I went back up to the counter and told them that and it was insisted that I was wrong. Sir, I grew up on my mama's catfish. And I have ordered cod in so many restaurants in CA that I know what it looks like and tastes like. I have only been here six months. Maybe this is AZ desert cod. Have what you state on the menu ! I wanted chicken tenders instead I got two chicken Pattie's and then when I pointed it out she explained that's what they call tenders (smh) and asked for bread she proceeded to explain they charge for bread. This is the best fish and chips not only in the area, but in all of AZ. You actually get what you order, Cod/Catfish/Tilapia etc. Not some processed fish patty like Petes. Mandy's was good I enjoyed my fish and the little ones enjoyed their shrimp, the fries were good the little ones wanted a type of seasoned fry but overall I'd recommend it to the fish lovers!!! Great fried fish is what I grew up on growing up around Lake Erie, but in AZ GREAT fish is rare. Mandy's does not disappoint, the portions are generous, and it is not greasy at all. The professionally seasoned breading that hugs the perfectly cooked tender fish is bite after bite awesome. Tonight I met the tiny, petite Mandy and we expressed our love of her food. Not bad Mandys Fish and Chips has a very large menu. They offer everything from fish, shrimp, wings, chicken nuggets, burgers, sandwiches, clam strips, hush puppies, and all the usual fried side items. Mandy's Fish and Chips offers three kinds of fish, Cod, catfish, and tilapia. I ordered the two piece cod. My entree came with a side of fries and my sister and nephew had the chicken nuggets, shrimp, fries, and onion rings. The meal was good. The fish was served hot and fresh as were the fries. As I said the fish was good, just nothing really stood out, maybe I'm just not a big fish and chips fan. My friend is a Pete's Fish & Chips fan and I'm a newly converted Mandy's Fish & Chips fan. We first got Pete's fish, shrimp, and chips and after went to nearby Mandy's for the same thing as a taste test. We couldn't do Maryln's Fish & Chips because they were closed. Mandy's had better quality tasting fish of catfish, bass, and cod and shrimp was so good! Mandy's fish, particularly catfish however is too salty and need to ease up on the salt, especially for those trying to lower their salt intake. So LESS salt and MORE seasoning on your fish!! Mandy's also needs to come up with an alternative to their Louisiana hot sauce and their crinkle-cut fries were dry. We agreed Pete's had better tasting fries and sauce made of El Pato and Catsup. I appreciate that Mandy's, unlike Pete's, accept debit or credit cards as a customer convenience. read more

I have been to this location a few times and have never had any complaints. There is a man who works there, maybe a manager or owner, I am not sure, and he is great. He has given me free drinks when waiting for my food, seems like a real good guy. The food had always been great as well. However, today, the experience I had was horrid. I picked up an order that I had called in, drove 11 miles round trip to get it , and half of the food was missing from my bag. I was not mad, but of course, not thrilled that I had to go back. So, drove another 5.5 miles to take the food back, and very calmly told the girl at the counter that they did not give us our shrimp, as well as potato salad. I also needed my fish redone because it had now gotten cold. She did not apologize at all. Did not say that she was sorry that they forgot half our food and had to drive back, there. She did not even respond. She just took the old fish, which was now cold, and walked back to the kitchen and I guess, advised the cooks what happened and what was needed. Like I said, I was not upset that they got my food wrong, but NOW, after not getting any kind of apology or anything, I was a little put off. Anyway, I waited about 15 minutes to get my food again, and I asked the girl if I could get cups for two drinks at no charge, since I had to come back , use the gas in my car, you know, for my inconvenience. She just looks at me , grabs a cup, puts it on the counter, does not say a word. I ask if I could get two, because I had two orders , one for me and one for my friend. She says "I can only give you one". OK, first of all, that is ridiculous. Second, she should have just offered this in the first place to me when I told her what happened. But then again, if I cannot even get an apology, there is no way she is going to offer me anything free for my inconvenience. It was just funny, I was the one that had to inconvenience myself. I was the one that used my gas, my time , and not to mention , it was 115 degrees out side . But the way that the girl was acting ,per her body language, I was being unreasonable to want my correct order and a couple free drinks. I was the victim here! Anyway, I left after I got my ONE free drink , and saw that they did not give me my potato salad. So I went in and got it. And had a few choice words on my way out. Hey, I was upset at the extremely poor customer service! I work in the customer service industry and I know what to do in situations like this. She was clueless. To top it off, when I got back to work, my fish was hollow in some places and hard, it was as if they just threw it back into the fryer without making it fresh for me again.
