Fried zucchini with two fish and a shrimp
    Wes S.

Don't judge a book by its cover. But you don't have to dress up either 32nd st and Washington is not convenient for me to go but my family and friends have gone there for decades for Fish & Chips. If you don't want French fries try upgrading to fried zucchini or mushrooms. Long loved local place to go for comfort food

Place smells weird, food is ok. Service is friendly. Seafood Platter Shrimp, ok cook on it, but they want like 3 bucks a shrimp, they are honest about what size shrimp they use (i forget but it was on the wall). But it's not that big and they cut it and fry it like a straight line, it wasn't that good. Clams, chewier than I would have liked but ok. Onion Rings were the best thing on the plate.... Hush Puppy - has bits of corn in it and a bit of a mexican salsa type thing going on but is not that flavorful Fish - tender fish, tasty

Located in a bit of a questionable part of town, but don't let that stop you -- the food more than makes up for it. Their fish and chips are consistently excellent: crispy batter, flaky fish, and properly cooked chips. The fried zucchini is next level -- light, crunchy, and addictive -- and the sauce is what really seals the deal every time. My only gripe is that the fish portions have shrunk over the years, which keeps this from being a full five-star spot. Still, I've been coming here since I was a kid with my family, and it remains a reliably great place for a comforting seafood meal. Highly recommended.

First timer -- This is the definition of "hole in the wall" diner, but good!! There is a smell when you walk in which made me little worried but it was good! Fish and chips -- batter could have better adhered to the fish, but the fish was flaky and delicious!! Chips (fries) were frozen and disappointing. Fish tacos -- I prefer flour tortillas, the corn tortillas were not heated and shredded apart so it was hard to eat. I probably wouldn't order these again. Zucchini -- holy large!! They were delicious but the grease holds inside and burns ya and with time made them very mushy which then was not good. Overall this place is a staple to the area. If close by, I would get the fish again.

My husband took me here for the first time, Good place to eat, just in time to get some yummy food . Inside of the restaurant looks so cool I like the atmosphere

Awesome seafood find in the desert! Cute decorations, friendly staff, quick service. Good selections. We are picky as we are from the north east coast and used to easy access to seafood. This is a good find. The clam chowder is amazing - must get. In a little bit of a questionable area but give it a chance and you won't regret it

My family and I have been coming here since I was a kid. The food is always fresh and hot. There's many options for different platters. I don't believe that the fish is well seasoned so I always add hot sauce. The hush puppies are my favorite. They're nice and crispy but nice and fluffy on the inside. Service is always great. It's a check in and call your number system. There's plenty of indoor seating. There's no real decor! It's pretty much dining and open seating! Definitely worth a try if you visit Arizona l.

Best fish and chips in the Valley, by far! Big pieces of cod perfectly deep fried, not too greasy, just right. Tartar sauce is amazing.

Does this place sell lobster? It's in the name but I don't see any lobster on the menu?

He was enthusiastic and provided a worry free experience. If you had a question, he got an answer. If you needed anything, he got it covered. He provided a very relaxing evening after a long work week. Additionally, all of our food came out in a very timely manner. Now the food. For starters, I opted for the tenderloin chili which was very flavorful. Despite the cheese not looking melted on top of the chili, it was perfectly heated and had a little spicy kick to it as well. The jalapeño honey cornbread was the perfect pairing. For the entree, I went with the filet mignon which was cooked to perfection, medium rare plus. It was flavorful and melted in my mouth. Rarely do I finish a steak in one sitting but I was determined to enjoy every bite. My steak was paired with their parmesan potatoes which was like an elevated au gratin. Both items were very delicious. For drinks I had the copper spur which was a slight riff on a classic gold rush cocktail. For dessert, I had the chocolate mousse which was like chocolate pudding with pizazz. Again, both items were very good. All in all, I would absolutely return. Easy 5/5 for me .

It was not as tender as a steak restaurant would usually serve. The portion was very generous for the price but some areas of the serving were hard to cut through. Say hello to your new favorite downtown restaurant! Wow, where to begin?…read more Service was amazing - they even printed out a small card with our reservation name on it which was presented on our table. Such a cute touch and very thoughtful. Our waitress was super knowledgeable and gave great recommendations. The spot is small and chic. It's very intimate dining so you'll be sitting close to the table next to you. Luckily, it's a quiet and calm space, so no need to worry about noise. The food was incredible. The salmon crudo was possibly the best crudo I have ever had in my entire life. So fresh and the flavors were balanced to perfection. The risotto changed my life... it was so delicious I couldn't even believe it. The only thing I would recommend skipping was the octopus tostada - not my favorite and a little fishy for my liking. Personal preference of course! The duck tasted great and was beautifully presented, but it wasn't my favorite. Again, I'm not a huge meat eater so take my advice on this one with a grain of salt. Overall an extremely romantic and special meal.

To start, the menu is a bit puzzling. It's kind of like a handful of Asian-inspired dishes, a handful of Mexican/South American, and a handful of French or New American. But there's not enough of each to chart a course through one type of cuisine. So, basically you're gonna have a cultural melange meal. Hamachi crudo was really good and fairly unique. The halibut was excellently prepared but not particularly innovative in any way I could tell. Zucchini had goat cheese, which wasn't immediately clear from the description, so I didn't enjoy the rude surprise I got when I took my first bite, and didn't eat anymore, as I really despise the stuff. So that was a waste. Not a dig on the dish, just a personal thing I wish I had more notice of. There were other issues though. The wine list was exceptionally small, They were out of the bread, which is supposedly a must-try. And then we were going to get the steak but the folks next to us advised against it, showing their cut that had zero fat. They said it was leather. On that point, the tables are SUPER CLOSE. Like, a couple inches apart. You hear everything and almost can't avoid getting entwined into others' conversation. We liked the people we were next to, but be aware that it's an unintentionally awkward communal experience that's not well-suited to a date night. The service was pretty good, they put out a nice printed greeting with the reservation name, and give you a sparkling wine toast. But considering the price and overall experience we had, I'd pass and not come back.

UPDATE 2026…read more Bluewater is our new favorite seafood restaurant. We went last Wednesday for HH and the bartenders are a fantastic team. They run a very professional bar. The service we received from them was next level. The kitchen did a great job too. I got the fish and chips with walleye. It was flaky goodness paired with crisp and salty fries. The Spanish octopus was alright. The clam chowder was flavorful and not too salty; definitely made it into the top three clam chowders I've had in the state so far. For our main entrees we ordered the New England lobster roll and the gemelli pasta with shrimp and scallops. The lobster roll was flavorful but felt like it was missing something. The gemelli pasta tasted a bit bland for my taste buds, but the family member I went with really enjoyed it. Since we always have room for dessert, we ordered a crème brulee to share. The crème brulee was nice and not overly sweet. Overall, service was professional, knowledgeable, attentive, and the food arrived in a timely manner. The restaurant itself is quite spacious with nautical décor throughout which gives off a comfortable and relaxing vibe.
