The food is just like when I went to Florence Italy, maybe better! The calamari is freshly breaded and not chewy. The pasta was cooked perfectly. The wine, STRONG, and delicious. This place is good. Too good of food to be in its location. It was once a pizzeria. Not far from the Walmart. Just seems to deserve a better location. Anyway I had the shrimp scampi and it was great. I don't often post but I think they are overwhelmed and adjusting to the new space. We ordered drinks,2 cocktails and 2 soft drinks with our dinner. Our soft drinks arrived,followed by our appetizer, then our dinner, then the cocktails arrived after we had to ask where they were. Additionally there was no silverware on the table which we had to ask for when the dinner arrived. I understand that they were training new staff at the time but I can't give a better review until they fix the preparedness and speed of service. read more

It's sad to see a restaurant we liked very much fail at the basics so completely that they cause you to never want to go there again. We wish Mangia the best in their new location, but that location is one of several problems. Our party of two went on a Saturday night. They had a 30-top in the first room so I thought, hmm, this will be an interesting test of their ability to put that meal on the table while still satisfying a full house. They failed. While our server was kind, she kept repeating the same excuse that the kitchen is backed up a little over the 3 hour span we sat waiting for it until we asked to have it packaged to go before it even hit the table. At no point were we offered anything for our wait other than water refills. At no point did any manager visit the table. Two other tables near us waited hours for food as well. The servers are clearly not happy about the distance from the kitchen to the tables, they seem to be rushing around, flush with red faces from all the running around into and out of air conditioned space. They never needed to walk this far at the old location, which we loved and visited many times. Even threatening to cancel our entrees resulted in no management adjustment of our check, so I ate the chicken cutlet pounded so thin it was more footwear than food and decided to cool down for a couple of days so I could write an objective review that does not completely rip the place apart for failing at the basics. After a truly wonderful hour at The Good Feet Store we've drove the crazy winding turning busy insane drivers roads to arrive at Mangia by 5:23. Walking in it looked lovely I had seen the menu online and had already picked out my choices of appetizers salad entrée dessert and even my favorite wine. As we look around I'm noticing only 1 couple in a booth at the back the rest of the restaurant was empty but for the Host, Bartender and a slightly tense and almost pleasantly annoyed ( if that's possible) Hostess that rushes up while the Host is asking if he can help she loudly asks our Reservation, before we can answer she says they are booked all the tables are occupied no offer to sit at the bar to wait just basically NO. The food and staff were great. I usually do not like eating Italian as most places leave me wanting more, but Mangia finally gave me a place close to the house that I would want go to.
